ObjectiveTo explore the protective effect of Sox11 gene on cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury(CIRI)in mice and its mechanism,so as to provide a new target for the treatment of CIRI.MethodsThe mouse middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)model and Neuro2A cell oxygen glucose deprivation reperfusion(OGDR)model were established and detected for the temporal and spatial distribution of Sox11 in the models by real-time quantitative PCR,Western blot,immunohistochemistry(IHC)and immunohistofluorescence(IHF).The altered expression of some crucial genes in the pathway of apoptosis and inflammation in OGDR model after the disruption of Sox11 expression was detected by Western blot.ResultsThe expression level of Sox11 mRNA and protein increased significantly in both MCAO and Neuro2A OGDR models(P = 0.000 1 ～ 0.038 8);After CIRI,Sox11 expression was elevated in the hippocampal dentate gyrus(DG)region of mice;After interfering with the expression of Sox11 in OGDR model,the expression of apoptosis-related protein Cleaved Caspase 3 significantly increased,while the expression of anti-apoptosis protein Bcl-2 significantly decreased,and the expression of phosphorylated NF-κB(p-NF-κB)protein related to inflammatory reaction also up-regulated significantly.Conclusion Sox11gene had a protective effect against CIRI in mice,and was involved in the regulation of apoptosis and inflammation pathways after CIRI.

Objective To study the clinical and pathological features, diagnosis and treatment of malig-nant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis. Methods One case of malignant mesothelioma of the tuni-ca vaginalis testis was reported. The patient was a 73 years old man, presented with a history of aggravated hydrocele for 1 year. B-ultrasound showed 7.5 cm×4.1 cm liquid anechoic area around the testis. The Pubmed and CBM databases were searched for related articles, and the clinical data were reviewed. Results An operation was performed to incise the tunica vaginalis. The pathology showed fecal caneeration in the tunica vaginalis testis and the immunohistology showed CK5/6, Calretinin and E-cadlberin positive. Right or-chiectomy was performed after three weeks. Local tumor recurrence and inguinal lymph nodes metastasis were found 11 months after operation, and local tumor and lymph nodes were resected. The tumor was diagnosed as malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis and CK5/6 and Calretinin fecal positive. Conclu-sions Malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis is a rare disease of the testis with potentially aggres-sive behavior. Due to the lack of tumor markers and characteristic symptoms, correct preoperative diagnosis is extremely difficult. Radical surgical treatment is of major importance to the survival of the patients. Life-long follow-up should be offered to patients with malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis.

Objective To combine grey relation analysis and partial least squares regression model to establish the forecasting model of per-patient hospitalization expenses .Methods Gray relational analysis was used to filter out the main factors affecting per-patient hospitalization expenses ,and then collinearity was examined between these factors .Partial least squares regression was used to establish prediction model of per-patient hospitalization expenses ,and the prediction accuracy was proved .Results After filtered by gray relational analysis ,the order of the importance of factors affecting per-patient hospitalization expenses was the west-ern medicine fee ,traditional Chinese medicine fees ,diagnosis and treat fees ,other fees ,inspection fees ,bed fees and operation fees . The established partial least squares regression model had a higher accuracy on fitting and prediction ,with low average relative er-ror ,respectively ,-0 .000 2% and 0 .349 3% .Conclusion The gray relational analysis and partial least squares regression are suit-able for the influencing factors and prediction analysis of hospitalization costs .It provides a reference for data with the small sample size and high collinearity between the variables .

Objective To establish a new and convenient assay for whole blood lead concentration. Methods Whole blood sample was digested by nitric acid-perchloric. Under the condition of pH 0.8～1.0, lead concentration was examined by Hydridegeneration Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry.Results The method had good linearity when lead concentration were between 0 to 600 ?g/L, r =0.999. The within-run CV of the method for high, middle and low lead level were 4.1%, 3.6% and 3.5% respectively. The between-run CV were 4.9%, 4.6% and 4.7% respectively. The recovery rates were 105.4%, 98.5% and 94.8% respectively. The single-blind test result of series standard lead samples provided by Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine were within the acceptable range. The detecting Limit of this method was 0.3 ng. There was no significant interference from main two-valence positiveion. The sample can be storage at lest for 1 months at 4℃. Samples of 869 children from Tianjin were tested by this method. The mean value was 91.9 ?g/L, median was 83.8 ?g/L, all data were within 23.1～386.3 ?g/L. The result showed out positive skewness distribution.Conclusion This method were sensitive, accurate, precise, quick and low-cost. It was suitable for use in clinical laboratories.

Objective To explore the medication rules of Professor WEI Pin-kang in treating gastric cancer; To provide references for clinical medication. Methods Gastric cancer cases treated by Professor WEI Pin-kang in TCM outpatient department of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital from January 2008 to December 2015 in WEI Pin-kang TCM Studio Outpatient Medical Cases (including electronic database and paper medical cases database). TCM Inheritance Support System V2.5 was used to build database. Frequency analysis, association rule analysis, complex system entropy clustering and other data mining methods were used to analyze frequency, medicine association rules and core medicine combination. Results Totally 305 clinical prescriptions including 185 kinds of Chinese materia medica were collected. The Chinese meteria medica with the high frequency were Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum, Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum, etc. High frequency Chinese materia medica were with the properties of warm and cold, and with the flavors of bitter, spicy and sweet, to Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming, Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin, and Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin. The medicine combinations with high frequency were Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum and Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum,Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum, and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum and Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum. The common medicine pairs were Aurantii Fructus and Aurantii Fructus Immaturum and Scorpio and Scolopendra. Analysis showed 36 association rules of the confidence > 0.99. 70 core medicine combinations and 11 new prescription were obtained. Conclusion Professor WEI Pin-kang treats gastric cancer based on phlegm theory. The dissolving phlegm and eliminating stagnation medicine, regulating qi-folwing for harmonizing stomach medicine and heat-clearing and detoxifying medicine are commonly used.

Objective To investigate the effects of continuous venovenous hemodiafiltration (CVVHDF) on plasma lipopolysaccharide (LPS),interleukin(IL) 1β,IL-4,high mobility group box 1 (HMGB-1) in multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) dogs,to explore the therapeutic mechnism of CVVHDF.Methods Dogs were subjected to hemorrhagic shock plus resuscitation and endotoxemia to establish MODS model,then they were randomly divided into 2 groups:CVVHDF group (n=6) and MODS group (n=6).After endotoxin injection completed,the CVVHDF group received CVVHDF treatment for 24 h; MODS group did not receive CVVHDF treatment.The LPS,IL-1β,IL-4,HMGB-1 levels in plasma and ultrafiltrate were measured at different time points(before operation,before intravenous infusion of endotoxin,0 h,3 h,6 h,9 h,12 h,18 h,24 h after intravenous infusion completion of endotoxin),then the sieving coefficient (SC) was calculated.Results Compared with MODS group,the LPS,IL-1β,IL-4,HMGB-1 levels in plasma were significantly decreased in the CVVHDF group at 9 h,12 h,18 h,24 h (P ＜ 0.05).Some concentration of IL-1β,IL-4 and HMGB-1 was detected in the ultrafiltrate,the SC for IL-1β,IL-4 and HMGB-1 was 0.60±0.12,0.83±0.11,0.70±0.09 respectively,and LPS could not be detected in the ultrafiltrate,its SC was 0.After treatment,the damage level of lung and renal had been significantly reduced in CVVHDF group.Conclusion CVVHDF can effectively reduce the levels of pro-inflammatory mediator and anti-inflammatory cytokine related to MODS,cut off the vicious circle of cytokine network and reduce the damage level of organism in the treatment of MODS.

Objective To investigate the curative effect of RevoLix 2 micron continuous wave laser va-poresection for treatment of elderly and high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia patients. Methods Clinical data of 36 benign prostatic hyperplasia patients with medical complications aging 70 -82 years were retro-spectively analyzed. Operations were done after their complications were controlled. The RevoLix 2 μm laser system with output power of 70 W was used, and normal saline was used as rinse solution. Operations were started after positions of seminal colliculns and distances to neck of bladder were confirmed. Results Oper-ation time varied from 65 to 135 rain with a mean time of (83.6±10. 6) rain. Occasional venous hemor-rhage occurred during operation but no arterial hemorrhage was observed. No blood transfusion necessitated and no TURP syndrome was observed. Catheter was removed 2-4 days after operation. All the patients could urinate freely. No urinary incontinence was found during follow-up except 2 patients with temporary urinary incontinence. A 3-6 months follow-up showed that IPSS decreased from 24. 26 ±2. 70 to 8.47±4. 32, QOL dropped from 4. 51±0. 56 to 1.34 ± 0. 53, and Qmax increased from (6. 37 ± 1.31) mL/s to (17.24± 2. 32) mL/s. Conclusions RevoLix 2 micron continuous wave laser vaporesection is a safe and effective method with less trauma and fast recovery for treating elderly and high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia pa-tients.

Objective To investigate therapeutic effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza on hepatic fibrosis of rats induced by carbon tewachloridean. Methods Rat models of hepatic fibrosis were founded by intraperitoneal injection of carbon tetrachloride. Salvia miltiorrhiza were given to these rats. Normal group and control group were set for comparison at the same time. Serum levels of ALT, AST, HA, LN, and PC-Ⅲ were detected; HE and Masson staining were conducted in hepatic tissues to observe pathological variations. Results Salvia miltiorrhiza could decrease serum levels of ALT, AST, HA, LN,PC-Ⅲ obviously (P ＜0.01), compared with the control group; Salvia miltiorrhiza could obviously improve pathological variations compared with the control group. Conclusion Salvia miltiorrhiza has therapeutic effect on hepatic fibrosis of rats

Further understanding of the anti-RCC mechanisms involves in chemokine-mediated angiogenesis and RCC cell proliferation. These new agents include Sorafenib, Sunitinib, Temsirolimus, Bevacizumab, etc. Combination treatment with immunotherapy may lead to improved outcomes in this disease.
