3.Research progress of relationship between microRNA and glioma
Cancer Research and Clinic 2011;23(12):852-855
MicroRNA (miRNA),an abundant class of small non-coding RNA,are abundant in the central nervous system where they play important roles in the neuronal development and plasticity. Moreover, the relationship between miRNA dysfunction and neurological diseases become more and more apparent.Recent studies show that the misregulated expression of miRNA out of control is closely related to the development of glioma. In this review we discussed the progress on the study of miRNA in Glioma.
4.MicroRNAs: novel crossroads of multiple myeloma treatment
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(7):1118-1120
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematologic malignancy of differentiated plasma cells that accumulate in the bone marrow, where a complex microenvironment made by different cell types supports proliferation, survival, and drug resistance of tumor cells.MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression at post-transcriptional level.Emerging evidence indicates that miRNAs are aberrantly expressed or functionally deregulated in MM cells as the result of multiple genetic or epigenetic mechanisms and that also the tumor microenvironment regulates MM cell functions by miRNAs.Consistently, modulation of miRNA levels in MM cells has been demonstrated to impair their functional interaction with the bone marrow microenvironment and to produce significant antitumor activity to overcome the protective bone marrowmilieu. This review will describe the most recent findings on miRNA function in the context of MM bone marrow microenvironment, focusing on the therapeutic potential of miRNA-based approaches.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(20):3095-3097
Objective To observe the mini -invasive treatment for patients with medium volume of hyper-tensive criatocapsular hemorrhage. Methods 59 patients with medium volume of hypertensive criatocapsular hemor-rhage(20 -30mL)were selected and randomly divided into mini -invsasive surgery group and conservative treatment group. Two groups were compared the average length of stay, hospital costs and clinical effect. Results The avergae hospital stay (14 ±3.26)days and avergae cost (1.1 ±0.33)ten thousand yuan of the mini -invsasive surgery group was lower than those of the conservative treatment group (25 ±6.58)days and (1.8 ±0.56)ten thousand yuan],the differences were statistically significant (t =7.999,5.768,all P <0.01).After 3 months follow -up,the recovery of self -care ability after operation estimated by ADL scores in the mini -invsasive surgery group was significantly better than that in the conservative treatment group(12 /31 vs.25 /28,χ2 =16.093,P <0.01).Conclusion For patients with medium volume of hypertensive criatocapsular hemorrhage(20 -30mL),minimally invasive surgery can shorten hospital stay, reduce the financial burden of patients, and improve the prognosis significantly.
6.Measures of infection source control of schistosomiasis and their effects in Four-lake regions of Hubei Province
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2014;(1):78-80
Objective To evaluate the effect of a new schistosomiasis control strategy based on the infection source control in four-lake regions of Hubei Province. Methods The new strategy based on the infection source control included the safe water sup-ply,feces harmless treatment, replacing cattle with machine, captive livestock, chemotherapy,Oncomelania hupensis snail con-trol in susceptible areas, hardening ditches, etc, and the new control strategy was implemented for 7 years in 9 counties(cities or districts)of the four-lake regions. The schistosomiasis situations were investigated before and after the intervention of the new strat-egy. Results The coverage rates of feces harmless toilets(three format toilets),biogas digesters, and safe water supply were 42.00%,23.16% and 93.76%,respectively. The number of ditch hardening was 1 960;the area of eliminating snails was 1 378.42 hm2;the number of persons who received the health education was 3 524 818 accounting for 92.17%of the total popula-tion;the number of person-time of taking active protection measures was 516 636 963. The average annual decline rates of schisto-some infection were 24.42%and 38.38%in residents and cattle, respectively. The endemic villages decreased by 4.77%,the vil-lages with snails decreased by 7.05%,and the villages with snails accounted between 63.19%and 66.21%of the total endemic vil-lages. The area with snails decreased by 90.35%,and the advance schistosomiasis patients decreased by 5.55%,and the fatality rate of advanced schistosomiasis patients decreased by 1.24%. No acute schistosomiasis patients occurred. Type One and Two en-demic(heavy endemic)villages decreased to zero;Type Three endemic(moderate endemic)villages decreased by 10.22%;but Type Four endemic(mild endemic)villages increased by 66.38%;and Type Five endemic(no endemic for 5 years)villages de-creased by 0.22%. The standards of schistosomiasis transmission controlled have achieved on schedule. Conclusion The imple-mentation of the new schistosomiasis control strategy based on the infection source control in four-lake regions of Hubei Province can effectively control schistosomiasis.
7.PROLIFERATIVE EFFECT OF INSULIN-LIKE GROWTH FACTOR-1 ON MUSCLE-DERIVED STEM CELLS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1953;0(01):-
Objective To explore the effect of insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) on the growth of muscle-derived stem cells(MDSCs). Methods MDSCs were isolated from the hindlimb muscle of new born mice through serial preplates.DMEM with 2% fetal bovine serum was used to induce MDSCs to differentiate into skeletal muscle lineage. The expression of stem cell marker Sca-1 or skeletal muscle cell marker ?-sarcomeric actin was examined by immunocytochemistry SP method.MTT colorimetric microassay was conducted to determine the effect of IGF-1 on MDSCs proliferation. The relationship between functioning and culture time and the relationship between functioning and IGF-1 concentration were studied. Results MDSCs were successfully isolated from the hindlimb of neonatal mice.Over 90% of the MDSCs showed Sca-1 positive immunoreactivity.MDSCs could give rise to ?-sarcomeric actin positive myotubes in differentiation cultures. The proliferative effect of IGF-1 on MDSCs increased gradu ally with prolonged culture time. The elevation of IGF-1 concentration also increased the proliferative effect until it came to a saturation point. Conclusion IGF-1 can promote the proliferation of in vitro cultured MDSCs.
8.Review of Magnetic Resonance Diffusion-Weighted Imaging in Liver
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(03):-
Objective To review the examination techniques and the current research progress of the magnetic resonance diffusion weighted-imaging (DWI) used in liver. Methods The recent and relevant literatures about the principles and the current study situation of liver DWI were scrutinized and analyzed retrospectively. In addition, the existing problems of liver DWI were discussed. Results DWI could demonstrate the normal and abnormal structure and function through measuring the diffusion motions of water molecule in the liver. With the improving technology and better understanding of diffusion dynamics, DWI has been used for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis for hepatic diseases. Conclusion DWI as a non-invasive examine method, may provide valuable functional information for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
