International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(1):63-66
Proteome is defined as all proteins expressed in a cell, a tissue or an organism. Proteomics, a science of understanding the life activity law at the whole protein level, takes proteome as a research object; it is also a scientific method for quantitative detection of one or more protein populations or proteomes in a cell or tissue. Cerebral ischemic preconditioning has been one of the research hotspots in the field of neuroscience for decades. Its neuroprotec-five mechanism is associated with the changes of protein expression levels after cerebral ischemia, Therefore, proteomics has become more and more important in its mechanism study. This article mainly presents the major techniques of proteomics and their application in the studies of cerebral ischemic preconditioning.

6.Effective radiation dose in cardiac interventional procedures: the difference between ICRP publication 60 and publication 103
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2009;18(12):923-926
Objective to compare the calculated effective radiation dose variations in cardiac interventional procedures of coronary angiography (CAG) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PCI) by using the different tissue weighting factors recommended by ICRP Publication 60 with that recommended by ICRP Publication 103. Methods Measurements of organ doses were carried out with an anthropomorphic phantom equipped with thermoluminecent dosimetry. The effective radiation doses were separately calculated using the tissue weighting factors provided by ICRP 60 and provided by ICRP 103, and the results obtained from ICRP 60 were compared with that obtained from ICRP 103. Conversion factors of effective, radiation dose to dose area product (DAP) were also calculated according to different publication. Results The variations in the effective dose were 6.88% for CAG and 8.46% for PCI. The effective dose variations in CAG and PCI were. 7.25% and 8.76% for female and were 6.51% and 8.17% for male, respectively. The effective conversion factors of DAP were. 0.10 ~ 0.11 and 0.13 ~ 0.14 for CAG and PCI,respectively, according to ICRP 60 and 103. Conclusion The variation of conversion factors of effective dose indicates that in making estimation of effective radiation dose. by using the widely accepted conversion factors, the adjustment of organ weighting factors recommended by ICRP 103 should be considered.

8.Measures of infection source control of schistosomiasis and their effects in Four-lake regions of Hubei Province
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2014;(1):78-80
Objective To evaluate the effect of a new schistosomiasis control strategy based on the infection source control in four-lake regions of Hubei Province. Methods The new strategy based on the infection source control included the safe water sup-ply,feces harmless treatment, replacing cattle with machine, captive livestock, chemotherapy,Oncomelania hupensis snail con-trol in susceptible areas, hardening ditches, etc, and the new control strategy was implemented for 7 years in 9 counties(cities or districts)of the four-lake regions. The schistosomiasis situations were investigated before and after the intervention of the new strat-egy. Results The coverage rates of feces harmless toilets(three format toilets),biogas digesters, and safe water supply were 42.00%,23.16% and 93.76%,respectively. The number of ditch hardening was 1 960;the area of eliminating snails was 1 378.42 hm2;the number of persons who received the health education was 3 524 818 accounting for 92.17%of the total popula-tion;the number of person-time of taking active protection measures was 516 636 963. The average annual decline rates of schisto-some infection were 24.42%and 38.38%in residents and cattle, respectively. The endemic villages decreased by 4.77%,the vil-lages with snails decreased by 7.05%,and the villages with snails accounted between 63.19%and 66.21%of the total endemic vil-lages. The area with snails decreased by 90.35%,and the advance schistosomiasis patients decreased by 5.55%,and the fatality rate of advanced schistosomiasis patients decreased by 1.24%. No acute schistosomiasis patients occurred. Type One and Two en-demic(heavy endemic)villages decreased to zero;Type Three endemic(moderate endemic)villages decreased by 10.22%;but Type Four endemic(mild endemic)villages increased by 66.38%;and Type Five endemic(no endemic for 5 years)villages de-creased by 0.22%. The standards of schistosomiasis transmission controlled have achieved on schedule. Conclusion The imple-mentation of the new schistosomiasis control strategy based on the infection source control in four-lake regions of Hubei Province can effectively control schistosomiasis.
9.Analysis of relationship between 1633C/T polymorphism of IL-8 gene and late-onset Alzheimer's disease
Journal of Chinese Physician 2012;(10):1319-1322
Objective To explore the relationship between interleukin-8 (IL-8) gene 1633C/T polymorphism and late-onset Alzheimer's disease in order to provide genetic reference data for late-onset Alzheimer's disease. Methods Polymorphism distribution of IL-8 gene 1633C/T in 80 LOAD and 80 normal controls were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCRRFLP) analysis. The alleles and gene frequencies type were calculated by the direct counting.Type of gene was proceeded with the Hardy-Weinberg balance estimate. The other statistical analyses were carried out with SPSS13.0 software. The genotype frequencies and allele frequencies were compared with the Chisquare test (x2 test). Results For IL-8 gene1633 C/T,the genotype frequencies (CC,20.0% ; CT,41.2% ; TT,38.8%) in the LOAD group were not significantly different from those (CC,11.3% ; CT,40.0% ; TT,48.7%) in the control group (P > 0.05).Conclusions IL-8 gene 1633 C/T polymorphism is probably not related to the genetic susceptibility of late-onset Alzheimer's disease.
10.Clinical Observation of Intensive Rosuvastatin Therapy in the Treatment of Acute Coronary Syndrome
China Pharmacy 2017;28(11):1510-1513
OBJECTIVE:To observe long-term efficacy of intensive rosuvastatin therapy in the treatment of acute coronary syn-drome (ACS) and explore its possible mechanism,so as to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. METHODS:ACS patients receiving rosuvastatin after cured in our hospital during Jan. 2013-Jan. 2015 were divided into observation group(55 cases)and control group(47 cases)according to the dose of rosuvastatin. Under same guidance of physicans,2 groups were addi-tionally given Rosuvastatin calcium tablets(20 mg for observation group,10 mg for control group,qd,po)orally on the basis of routine treatment. Both groups were treated for 1 year. The incidence of 1-year accumulative main adverse cardiac event (MACE) were compared between 2 groups as well as the levels of blood lipid and serum cytokines, the occurrence of ADR before treat-ment,after 3 months of treatment. RESULTS:The incidence of accumulative MACE in observation group was significantly lower than control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of TC and LDL-C in 2 groups were de-creased significantly;the level of LDL-C was inCreased significantly compared to before treatment, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in 2 groups were decreased significantly (P<0.05);the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical signifi-cance (P<0.05). The peripheral blood LDL-C was positively correlated with IL-1β and TNF-α in observation group after treat-ment,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Intensive rosuvastatin therapy can significantly improve the long-term prognosis for ACS patients, which may associate with lipid metabolic regulation and anti-inflammatory effect.
