1.Analysis of heart rate variability in the patients with malignant tumor of different phases
Fudan University Journal of Medical Sciences 2009;36(4):413-416
Objective To evaluate the clinical practical value of the heart rate viability test in the patients with malignant tumor during their therapies. Methods Totally 187 cases were analyzed and were divided into three different groups, which included 90 malignant tumor patients before therapy, 45 patients with chemotherapy and 52 non-malignant tumor cases (control group). We compared four HRV indexes(ASDNN5,SDANNS, SDNN and RMSSD) of the patients between the different groups as well as inside each group. Results There were statistical significances in the indexes of ASDNN5, SDANN5 and SDNN of patients at different stages before therapy, the three indexes of the stage Ⅲ group were lower than those of the stage Ⅰ group and the control group as well. The three indexes of the stage Ⅳ group compared with the stage Ⅰ group or the control group (P<0.05) were lower either. There was also statistical significances in SDNN between the stage Ⅲ and the stage Ⅱ of the before-therapy group (P< 0. 05). The indexes of SDANN5 and SDNN of the stage Ⅳ in the chemotherapy group were lower than those of the same stage in the before-therapy group(P<0.05). Conclusions The later the stage of malignant tumor patients is, the more the index of HRV declines. Chemotherapy may affect autonomic nerve function of stage Ⅳ patients with malignant tumor and decrease their HRV.

3.Epithelial cells-stem cells interactions in wound healing
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(6):1092-1096
BACKGROUND: At the process of wound healing, the epithelial cells and epidermal stem cells interactions is complicated which promoting the mechanisms of wound healing. The abnormities of any fine phase can be result in delayed healing or scarring. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the characterization of epithelial cells and epidermal stem cells and their interaction in wound healing so that we can recognize the mechanisms of scarring from histomorphology, biochemistry and molecular variations. METHODS: A computer-based online search of Pubmed Database was undertaken to identify the relevant articles on epithelial cell and epidermal stem cells interactions in wound healing and results in scarring published from 1974 to 2009 with the key words of "epithelial cells, epithelial stem cells, wound healing, keratinocytes, fibroblasts, hypertrophic scar, keloid" in English. At the same time, Chinese relevant articles were searched in China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) published between 1999 and 2009 with the same key words in Chinese. A total of 43 articles were collected about the cell structure (3 articles), the cell interactions in wound healing and scarring (16 articles), the relevant on epithelial stem cells (24 articles).RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The effect of different cells in epithelial tissue is known to all. The keratinocytes and fibroblasts had been on studying frequently, and their closely correlated to scarring. At present, the epithelial stem cells has been confirmed, but the relevant on their location, quality and specific epidermal markers are unclear which need to study and explore. With the rapidly development of science and technology, we maybe control the expression of cells by genic regulation not only culture the cells of our need but to prevent the scarring.

According to the analysis of current do-mestic and foreign teachers, the comparison of teachers' training mode and drawing lessons from for-eign experience of cultivating teachers, the suitable training mode of Chinese situation was explored, putting forward the thinking of the culture and construction of general medicine teachers by deepening the reform of medical education and the comprehensive reform of the medical and health system.
6.Effect of simple phototherapy or phototherapy combined with albumin therapy on severe jaundice in full-term neonates
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2015;(5):943-946
AIM:To analyze the effect of non-exchange transfusion therapy, including simple phototherapy or phototherapy combined with albumin therapy, on severe jaundice in full-term neonates.METHODS: The full-term neo-nates (n=110) with serum total bilirubin (TBIL) level over 342 μmol/L recewed simple phototherapy or phototherapy combined with albumin therapy. The changes of serum bilirubin levels and neurological signs of these neonates were ob-served.RESULTS:Serum TBIL and indirect bilirubin ( IBIL) levels in the 2 groups of hospitalized cases significantly re-duced after the first day of treatment and at discharged (P<0.01).The reduced degrees of TBIL and IBIL levels in the neonates given phototherapy combined with albumin therapy were higher than those in the neonates given simple photothera-py.All these neonates did not have bilirubin encephalopathy on admission or at discharged.CONCLUSION:Both simple phototherapy and phototherapy combined with albumin therapy treat severe jaundice effectively and prevent acute bilirubin encephalopathy in full-term neonates.
7.Role of stem cell transplantation in multiple myeloma in the era of novel agents
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2013;22(6):343-347
Autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) has been considered as frontline therapy for patients with multiple myeloma (MM) based on the increased rate of response and prolonged progression-free survival compared with conventional chemotherapy. In the recent years, the favorable results shown by newdrug-based multidrug inductions, consolidations, and long-term maintenance approaches have challenged the role of ASCT.Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) has shown to be a potentially curative treatment for MM.However, the effectiveness of high-dose conditioning with conventional allo-HSCT is compromised by transplant-related mortality (TRM).Nonmyeloablative transplantation has showed reduced TRM and promising graft-versus-myeloma effects, but rates of acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease remain high. This article provides an overview of clinical trials and aims to define the role of stem cell transplantation in the era of novel agents.
8.Effect of thyrotropin on bone metabolism
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2015;(6):555-557
[Summary] Epidemiologic evidence favors strong correlations between low thyrotropin(TSH) and high bone turnover, low bone mineral density ( BMD), and high fracture risk in hyperthyroid patients. Even subclinical hyperthyroidism, in which TSH is low and thyroid hormones are normal, is associated with osteopenia and osteoporosis. These evidences indicate that action of TSH on bone metabolism is independent of thyroid hormones and thus support the theory of the pituitary-bone axis. TSH plays its osteoprotective effect by binding TSH receptor on osteoclasts and inhibiting TNF-α expression. Physicians should screen the BMD in patients with overt and subclinical hyperthyroidism, especially the elderly, and make early diagnosis and better management for the underlying osteopenia and osteoporosis.
9.Transcription factors as new targets for cancer therapy
Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2010;41(2):97-103
Mechanism studies in the gene regulation in the eukaryotic cells is one of the momentous areas in molecular biology.Regulation at transcription level is a complex progress with multiple steps with the presence of the gene functions. There exist ubiquitous occurrence of transcription factors in mammalian tissues and biodiversity in the factors. These transcription factors are found to relate closely to various carcinogeneses, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and angiogenesis.Understanding of transcription factors and their action mechanisms, through the activation and inhibition of transcription factors, would potentially lead to the discovery of new entities in the targeting treatment and prevention of the cancer diseases.
