Journal of Practical Stomatology 2017;33(4):561-563
1263 children aged 3-6 years old in Wuxi city were included.Overweight 191 children were overweighte,104 obese and 968normal.SPSS analysis showed that deciduous teeth caries and age were positively relative (F=31.77,P=0.0001);obesity and age were not relative(x2 =36.00,P=0.33);deciduous teeth caries and obesity were not relative (F =0.21,P =0.808).Deciduous teeth caries is not related with obesity.

AIM: To explore the effects of high glucose a t fluctuant concentrations on glucose transport activity and expression of phosp hoinositide 3-kinase (p85) in primary cultured skeletal muscle cells. ME T HODS: Rat skeletal muscle cells were cultured at fluctuant glucose conce ntrations (5, 25mmol/L) for 48h. Then the glucose uptake and the expression of p hosphoinositude 3-kinase were measured. RESULTS: The skeletal mu s cle cells treated with fluctuant high concentration glucose showed the impairmen t of the basal and insulin-induced increase in glucose uptake and significant de crease in p85 protein expression as well as p85 mRNA. Particularly, there was a significant decrease in p85 protein and mRNA expression in the high fluctuate l evel of glucose concentration. CONCLUSION: The exposure to fluct uant high concentration of glucose inhibits glucose uptake and induces insulin r esistance in skeletal muscle cells.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of subacute thyroiditis (SAT ) manifested as fever of unknown origin (FUO) for early diagnosis .Methods The clinical and laboratory data were retrospectively reviewed for 20 SAT patients manifected as fever of unknown origin from October 2009 to February 2013 .Results A total of 20 patients were finally diagnosed as subacute thyroiditis ,about 3% of the 661 FUO patients .Only 5 SAT patients had complained of angina or pain in the anterior region of neck .Thyroid enlargement and tenderness were observed in 14 SAT cases .Elevated serum thyroid hormone and a very low serum level of thyroid stimulating hormone were seen in 17 patients with SAT .Ultrasound scan of thyroid showed inhomogenous hypoechongenic texture in 14 patients .99m Tc pertechnetate scan of thyroid showed extremely low radiopharmaceutical uptake in all the 20 cases .All patients had received antibiotic treatment prior to admission .Conclusions Subacute thyroiditis is an uncommon but important cause of FUO .Detailed history ,physical examination and laboratory evaluation can help minimize the chance of misdiagnosis and unnecessary antibiotic therapy .

China Pharmacy 2015;(18):2562-2563,2564
OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the identification and content determination of leguminosae in Qizhu bishi granules. METHODS:Thin layer chromatography (TLC) was used to identify the leguminosae. HPLC-ELSD was used to deter-mine the content of astragaloside A in leguminosae. The column was Diamonsil C18 with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water(32∶68,V/V)at the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,the column temperature was 40 ℃. The sample size was 20 μl. The drift tube temperature was 108 ℃ with the nitrogen gas flow rate of 2.8 ml/min. RESULTS:The TLC features of leguminosae were obvious with clear spots and good specificity. Astragaloside A had a good linear relationship in the range of 0.402 4-4.02 μg(r=0.997 0). RSDs of pre-cision,stability and reproducibility tests were≤0.8%. The average recovery was 99.00%(RSD=1.29%,n=9). CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, accurate and reliable and can be used for the quality control of Qizhu bishi granules.

BACKGROUND:The incorporating of zeolites or porous fillers into polymer membranes can improve the pervaporation separation properties of membranes. But the effect mechanism of zeolites or porous fillers on membrane properties needs to be further studied.OBJECTIVE:The study was designed to prepare ZSM-5 zeolite incorporated chitosan membrane by solution blending method to investigate the effecIs of zeolite on membrane pervaporation properties.DESIGN:A controlled observation.SETTING:Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences.MATERIALS:This study was performed at the Laboratory of New Type Membrane Separation Technology,Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences in May 2006.Chitosan,with deacetylation degree of 75%-85%,was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich Chemical Company,USA;Dimethyl carbonate(DMC),with purity of 99%,was purchased from Fluka Chemical Company,USA:ZSM-5 zeolite was kindly supplied by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,China;Methanol, with purity>99.5%,were purchased from Shenyang Lianbang Chemical Company,China.METHODS:ZSM-5 zeolite incorporated chitosan membranes were prepared by solution blending method.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:①Swelling and sorption of ZSM-5 zeolite-incorporated chitosan membranes in the DMC/methanol mixture.②Effects of zeolite content in the membrane and operating temperature on pervaporation properties.RESULTS:Scanning electron mieroscope demonstrated that zeolite was uniformly distributed in the membrane matrix and the membranes were free from possible defects. The separation selectivity of dimethyl carbonate(DMC)/methanol mixtures was dominated by solubility selectivity rathcr than diffusivity selectivity.Swelling degree increased and the permeation flux of the membranes increased significantly with the zeolite content increasing. From the temperature-dependent permcation values, the Arrhenius activation parameten were estimated.CONCLUSION:The pervaporation results indicated that the membranes incorporated with the ZSM-5 zeolite exhibited better separation properties for DMC/methanol mixtures comparing with homogeneous chitosan membranes.

Objective To investigate the microecological status of vaginal microflora in the women with different vaginal symptoms. Methods From March 2006 to October 2007, 6982 cases with varying degree vaginal symptoms including pruritus, increaseed leucorrhea, the leucorrhea having unusual smell, in the gynecology outpatient department were studied. The vagina secretions were examined in terms of the pH value, the hydrogen peroxide test, and Gram dyeing inspection of vaginal bacteria and microecology appraisal for colony's density, the multiplicity, the superiority fungus, and the inflammatory response. Results Among 6982 patients, normal vaginal microecology was identified in 750 (10. 74%, 750/6982 );abnormal mieroeeology was found in 6232 ( 89. 26%, 6232/6982 ) ; bacterial vaginosis (BV) was detected in 729 (10. 44%, 729/6982);vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) was in 1527 ( 21.87%, 1527/6982 ). Ninety five patients (1.36% ,95/6982) were with both BV and VVC. Abnormal bacteria colonies were found in 1229(17. 60% ,1229/6982),and others were found in 2652(37. 98% ,2652/6982). Conclusions The vaginal microecology in the women with different vaginal symptoms can be either normal or abnormal. Microecology clinical evaluation system can assess the vaginal microecosystem.
