Purpose To analyze the clinicopathologic features, immunophenotypes, image features and diagnosis of hemangioblastoma.Methods The clinical and pathological features were studied with HE and immunohistochemical staining in 40 cases of hemangioblastoma.The image features were studied with CT and MRI.Results The clinical symptoms of these cases were dizziness,headache,vomitting, optic disc edema and ataxia. The CT and MRI showed a sharply demarcated tumor with cystic areas and a solid mural nodule. After enhancement scanning, the mural nodule was usually enhanced and the wall of the cystic area was not. Histopathologically, this tumor was characterized by two main components: capillary and stromal cells. Immunohistochemically, the endotheliocyte was positive for CD34 and FⅧRAg, but most of the stromal cells were positive for S-100 and part of the cells were also positive for NSE. The endotheliocyte and the stromal cell were all positive for vimentin, but negative for GFAP, EMA and p53. The expression of Ki-67 was very low.Conclusions Hemangioblastoma is characterized by stromal cells and numerous capillary, but the origin of the stromal cell is not clear. Its image features have some characteristics. It needs to be distinguished from pilocytic astrocytoma, angiomatous meningioma and renal carcinoma.

BACKGROUND:Stromal cel derived factor-1 is a smal molecular protein with a wide range of biological activity that can cause immune cel chemotaxis, and it also has a chemotactic effect on bone marrow stem cels and periodontal ligament cels.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of stromal cel derived factor-1 with different concentrations on the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels and to probe the best concentration.
METHODS:Bone marrow stem cels from beagle dogs were culturedin vitro and stimulated by different concentrations of stromal cel derived factor-1 (100, 200, 300 μg/L). MTT was used to detect the influence of stromal cel derived factor-1 on the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels so as to screen the best concentration of stromal cel derived factor-1. Then, stromal cel derived factor-1 at the best concentrations was used to intervene the bone marrow stem cels, and MTT was used again to detect the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Stromal cel derived factor-1 at concentrations of 100, 200, 300 μg/L could promote the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels, and the effect was more notable at 200 and 300 μg/Lbut withno significant difference. Therefore, 200 μg/L was considered to be the best concentration of stromal cel derived factor-1 for intervention of bone marrow stem cels. Compared with the blank control group, 200 μg/L stromal cel derived factor-1 could significantly promote the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels. Taken together, stromal cel derived factor-1 can promote the proliferation of bone marrow stem cels, and its best concentration is 200 μg/L.

Objective To investigate the correlation between Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection-associated gastritis and the ap-optotic genes in gastric mucosa .Methods Forty-five patients with chronic gastritis were registrated in our study from November 2013 to December 2014 .HP infection status in the patients was detected by using urease test and 13C-urea breath test .The degree of gastritis in the gastric mucosa with HP infection was confirmed via histopathology .qRT-PCR was used to measure the mRNA ex-pressions of Bax ,Bak and Bcl-2 in the gastric mucosa with HP infection and matched normal gastric mucosa .Person analysis was used to assess the correlation between the HP infection-associated gastritis and the mRNA expressions of Bax ,Bak and Bcl-2 in the gastric mucosa .Results Forty-five patients with HP infection in antrum and 45 patients (100% ) with chronic antrum gastritis were identified ,including 28 patients (62 .2% ) with light gastritis ,16 patients (35 .6% ) with moderate gastritis ,1 patient (2 .0% ) with severe gastritis .9 patients (20 .0% )with metaplasia ,5 patients(11 .1% ) with low grade intraepithelial neoplasms .The urease tests were negative in the gastric body of 45 patients ,6 patients (13 .3% )were mild chronic gastritis in the body ;Patient with meta-plasia and intrapithelial gastritis was not found .The Bax expression in the HP-infected gastric mucosa was markedly increased when compared with the normal gastric mucosa (P< 0 .01) ,and positively correlated with the degree of gastritis (P< 0 .01) , whereas the expressions of Bak and Bcl-2 have no significantly deferences bttween two groups(P>0 .05) .Conclusion HP infec-tion-associated gastritis positively correlated with the expressions of apoptotic genes in gastric mucosa ,suggesting that HP infection might result in increasing the Bax expression and further enhancing the cell apoptosis .

ObjectiveTo unify the definitions of colonoscopic characteristics of Crohn disease (CD) and intestinal tuberculosis ( ITB),and to evaluate colonoscopic and clinical features in the differential diagnosis of CD and ITB.MethodsA collaborative group composed of 10 experts from 5 hospitals voted to identify and confirm the colonoscopic characteristics.Clinical and colonoscopic characteristics were analyzed,thereafter,characteristics were scored based on different diagnostic specificity.ROC curve was used for determining the cutoff point to differentiate CD from ITB.ResultsFirstly,standard endoscopic images and descriptions were determined.Secondly,colonoscopic parameters which were significantly different between the CD and ITB patients included the follows:involvement of more than four intestinal segments,anorectal involvement,longitudinal ulcers,cobblestone appearance and transverse ulcers.Clinical findings which were significantly different between the CD and ITB patients included active pulmonary tuberculosis,PPD-test strong positive,anal fistula/perianal abscess and extra-intestinal manifestations in CD.4.4％(6/136) patients were confirmed by histological evidence of caseating granulomas.By using our scoring system,39.7％ (54/136) confirmed diagnoses and 18.4％ (25/136) suspected diagnoses were made in patients without histological evidence.ConclusionIdentification of colonoscopic characteristics and unification of the colonscopic diagnostic criteria were helpful in the differential diagnosis between CD and ITB.The differential diagnosis rate could he improved by using the scoring system.Half cases could not be confirmed even with combined pathology and the scoring system,so a more comprhensive scoring system would be warranted.

Objective To study the iodine nutritional status of pregnant women in Foshan City,Guangdong Province,and to provide basis for iodine supplementation scientifically for them.Methods In 2017,five districts Chancheng,Nanhai,Shunde,Sanshui and Gaoming in Foshan were selected.Each monitoring site was divided into five sections according to stratified random sampling in five directions:east,west,south,north and middle.One township (street) was taken in each section,and 20 pregnant women were taken from each township (street) to detected their family salt iodine and urinary iodine levels.Results A total of 500 edible salt samples were collected from the families of pregnant women,the median of salt iodine was 24.8 mg/kg,the qualified iodized salt consumption rate was 95.8％ (479/500),and the iodized salt coverage rate was 99.0％ (495/500).There was a statistically significant difference in the iodine content of edible salt of pregnant women in diffierent districts (H =26.9,P ＜ 0.05).A total of 500 urine samples were collected from pregnant women,the median of urinary iodine was 138.9 μg/L.There was a statistically significant difference in the levels of urinary iodine content of pregnant women in different districts (H =14.5,P ＜ 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in urinary iodine of pregnant women during different stages of pregnancy (H =2.6,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions The iodine intake for pregnant women is in a state of deficiency (＜ 150 μg/L) in Foshan of Guangdong Province.It is necessary to further strengthen the health education of key populations,and improve the iodine nutritional status of pregnant women.

Objective:To compare the feasibility and safety of a new portable endoscopic system and the conventional endoscopic system for the detection and emergency treatment of abdominal trauma in animal models.Methods:Three healthy Bama pigs, which were fasted and water deprivation for 8 h before surgery and then underwent induction anesthesia. A layer-by-layer incision was made into the abdominal cavity of Bama pigs. An artificial pneumoperitoneum was established using a laparoscopic pneumoperitoneum machine. A bullet model was inserted into the abdominal cavity to build the bullet wound model. After the bullet model was removed, a shrapnel model was inserted into the mid-abdomen to build the shrapnel wound model. The two types of endoscopic system were used to detect, remove bullet model or shrapnel model of the three Bama pigs respectively. The procedure order of the two systems was assigned according to the random number table method. The surgical success, operation time, endoscopy pipeline patency, endoscopic operation satisfaction, adverse events and equipment defects were recorded.Results:Three surgeries were performed using the new portable endoscopic system and three other surgeries using the conventional endoscopic system, all of which were successful. The time of the new portable endoscopic system to find and remove the bullet model, and the shrapnel model were 232.33±11.68 s, 300.33±57.70 s, 170.00±44.44 s and 52.67±2.52 s, respectively. The corresponding time of the conventional endoscopic system were 232.67±21.20 s ( t=-0.054, P=0.962), 256.67±67.00 s ( t=0.880, P=0.472), 176.00±52.42 s ( t=-0.111, P=0.922), 58.67±14.84 s ( t=-0.832, P=0.493), respectively. There was no significant difference between the two systems ( P>0.05). The endoscopy tubes of the two endoscopic systems were both smooth. The operator was satisfied with the endoscopic procedures of both endoscopic systems, and no adverse event or device defect occurred. Conclusion:The portable endoscopic system proves to be safe and feasible for the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal trauma in animal models.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of oseltamivir in the treatment of suspected influenza in children. Method: A multicenter, randomized and open-label trial was conducted among 229 individuals with suspected influenza which were collected from the clinic of 5 hospitals in Guangdong province (Guangzhou Women and Children′s Medical Center, Shenzhen Baoan District Maternity and Child Care Service Center, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College, Dongguan Maternity and Child Care Service Centre, Yuexiu District Children′s Hospital of Guangzhou) from April to July 2015. They were randomized either to oseltamivir group (oseltamivir 30-75 mg, twice daily for 5 days) or control group who were given symptom relief medicines for 5 days. Result: No significant difference was found between two groups in influenza symptoms of the patients before the treatment(P>0.05). Altogether 229 individuals (114 in oseltamivir group, 115 in control group) were analyzed for efficacy, in which 73 individuals (42 oseltamivir, 31 control), 31.9%, were identified as influenza-infected through laboratory test. No significant difference was found between the two groups in the duration of fever although shortened. In the 229 individuals , the cumulative alleviation proportion between oseltamivir and control group was not significantly different (P>0.05): the median duration of illness was 69.9 hours (95% CI 65.3-91.5) in oseltamivir group and 75.4 hours (95%CI 63.9-91. 7) in control group; the median duration of fever was 40.4 hours (95%CI 31.5-53.4) in oseltamivir group and 44.0 hours (95%CI 33.2-50.0) in control group. In the 73 individuals, the cumulative alleviation proportion between oseltamivir and control group was significantly different (P<0.05). The median duration of illness was 61.2 hours (95%CI 48.0-121. 0) in oseltamivir group, being significantly shorter than that of 116.0 hours (95%CI 91.5-175.0) in control group. But it was not significantly different that the median duration of fever was 32.8 hours (95%CI 24.0-47.0 ) in oseltamivir group and 55.8 hours (95%CI 43.6-78.3 ) in control group (P>0.05). And the median duration of fever in 60 individuals (38 oseltamivir, 22 control) was significantly different between two groups(P<0.05), who had finished a course of taking oseltamivir in the 73 individuals, 34.8 hours (95%CI 24.0-48.5 ) in oseltamivir group being significantly shorter than that of 53.3 hours (95%CI 43.6-104.0 ) in control group. There was certain difference in side effects rate between the two groups (oseltamivir 10%, control 2%, P<0.05). The main side-effects were gastrointestinal symptoms (stomachache, diarrhea, poor appetite, vomiting). Conclusion The duration of illness and fever in suspected influenza patients treated with oseltamivir was shorter than those in the patients treated with no oseltamivir, the difference was not statistically significant, when 31.9% was confirmed with positive result of virus test in suspected influenza in children. But in these patients with positive result of virus test, the duration of illness was significantly shortened with treatment with oseltamivir as compared with no treatment with oseltamivir, and it would be better if full oseltamivir course was completed for reducing the duration of fever. Oseltamivir treatment was safe with mild side effects.

Objective: To investigate the role of the bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2)⁃Smad1/5 and p38MAPK signaling pathways in the osteogenic differentiation of MSMSCs by insulin⁃like growth factor 1 (IGF1). Methods : A re⁃ combinant adenovirus (RAD) and IGF1 expressing IGF1 gene were constructed. After osteogenic induction, qRT⁃PCR and Western blot were used to detect the phosphorylation level of Smad1/5 and the expression of the BMP⁃2 protein in the BMP⁃Smad signaling pathway; immunohistochemistry was used to observe the nuclear translocation of Smad1/5; qRT⁃PCR and Western blot were used to detect IGF with Noggin and SB203580, inhibitors of the p38MAPK signaling path⁃ way 1⁃mediated osteogenic differentiation of MSMSCs Results: The recombinant IGF1 adenovirus was constructed suc⁃ cessfully. MSMSCs were cultured in inductive medium after infection with different concentrations of Ad⁃IGF1, and then, the protein levels of BMP2 and p⁃Smad1/5 increased. IGF1 can also induce nuclear translocation of Smad1/5. In addition, Noggin significantly reduced the phosphorylation level of Smad1/5 and the formation of mineralized nodules in the MSMSCs. The mRNA levels of Runx2, OPN and ALP also decreased. In contrast, SB203580 decreased neither the phosphorylation level of p38 nor the mRNA expression of Runx2, OPN and ALP in the Ad⁃IGF1 MSMSCs Conclu⁃sion IGF1 can promote the osteogenic differentiation of MSMSCs via the BMP2⁃Smad1/5 signaling pathway. In con⁃ trast, IGF1 may not promote the osteogenic differentiation of MSMSCs via the p38MAPK signaling pathway.

ObjectiveTo review the drug information and research progress on oral Chinese patent medicines in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia to identify existing problems and provide references for follow-up research. MethodChinese patent medicines against cardiac arrhythmia were retrieved from the three major drug catalogues，Yaozh.com，and relevant guidelines with arrhythmia as the retrieval term. The instructions for included Chinese patent medicines were retrieved through Yaozh.com and specific information was extracted. The research articles on Chinese patent medicines included were retrieved from the five databases，and the information meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria was extracted and displayed in the form of text description and graphs after statistical analysis. ResultSixty-five oral Chinese patent medicines were included in this study，with the main functions of activating the blood and resolving stasis. The average daily cost of medicines was 8.17 yuan，and there were 42 medicines with an average daily cost of less than 10 yuan，showing a moderate medicine cost. A total of 351 research articles on Chinese patent medicines were screened out，including 259 randomized controlled trials （RCTs），16 non-RCTs，eight non-controlled trials，62 systematic reviews，two guidelines，and two expert consensuses. Eighteen types of Chinese patent medicines were involved，whose clinical trials had been conducted in 28 provinces，cities，autonomous regions，and municipalities in China. Wenxin granules and Shensong Yangxin capsules were the top medicines under investigation，accounting for 75.21% of all research articles. Among the included studies，the most common comparison design was Chinese patent medicine combined with western medicine vs western medicine （64.25%）. The outcome evaluation was mainly based on clinical efficacy，symptom efficacy，arrhythmia efficacy，adverse reactions，and heart rate changes. ConclusionThe number of clinical studies of oral Chinese patent medicines against cardiac arrhythmia varies greatly，but traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome differentiation thinking is less considered in practical application. Due to unstandardized clinical research and low-quality literature，further advancement is required in the future.
