Abstract Developmental dyslexia (DD) is a common learning disability that can cause long-term psychological and physical damage to children. However, up to now, the underlying mechanism of DD is still unclear, and there is no gold standard diagnosis and treatment measures. Compared with western countries, research on Chinese DD is lagging behind, which greatly affects the prognosis of Chinese DD children. Extensive research on DD is needed for developing a diagnostic system suitable for children with developmental disorders in China.
