OBJECTIVE:To explore the mechanism of ligustrazin in treating cerebral infarction.METHODS:60healthy volunteers were assigned to group A,and68patients with cerebral infarction were allocated o group B,the levels of TNF-?,ET-1and NO in plasma were determined,the pre-treatment and post-treatment results of these indices were compared in group B and they were all compared with those in group A.RESULTS:The levels of plasma TNF-?and ET-1were sig-nificantly higher and NO were remarkably decreased in patients group B as compared with group A(P

OBJECTIVE: To draw the attention to mucosal antral cyst, thus reduce the probability of missed diagnosis and missed treatment by retrospectively analyzing 17 cases of eye pain patients with no obvious nasal symptoms in our department from January 2003 to September 2011. METHOD: All patients were performed ophthalmologic examination including eye position, eyesight, refraction, visual field, intraocular pressure and fundus examination, and the results showed that all of them had no eye disease. After excluding the deviation of nasal septum, concha bullosa and Haller gas room, CT scanning of paranasal sinus showed the maxillary sinus cyst. The patients were operated by nasal endoscope through joint path of middle meatus or inferior meatus and given antibiotics after operation. The nasal cavity packing was removed 24 hours postoperatively and the patients were discharged from hospital a week later. All the patients continued using intranasal corticosteroids and were followed up for half a year to observe whether the eye pain disappeared or recurred, when various processing was given to the surgical cavity with the help of nasal endoscope. RESULT: Among the 17 cases, 14 cases of eye pain disappeared after the operation, and the remaining 3 patients got symptomatic relief without recurrence during the follow-up period. CONCLUSION Mucosal antral cyst can cause eye pain. After excluding eye disease, once we diagnosed patients for mucosal antral cyst and the routine application of corticosteroids treatment was proved to be invalid, we should take operation treatment as early as possible, regardless of the size and location of the cysts.

Objective We have recently shown that 5-azacytidine and butyrate can trigger apoptosis in human liver cancer cells. The purpose of our present study was to determine the effects of 5-azacytidine and butyrate on the invasion of liver cancer cells and the changes of the protein expression in the liver cancer cells during the treatment with these agents. Method Human liver cancer cell lines HepG2 and Hep3B were treated with either 5-azacytidine or butyrate; in vitro cell invasion, adhesion and proliferation, as well as the expression of the cell cycle inhibitory proteins p21waf1, p27kip1 and p53 were observed.Results Our results demonstrated that the combination of 5-azacytidine and butyrate effectively blocked in vitro invasion of these two liver cancer cell lines. Both agents inhibited the adhesion and proliferation of the liver cancer cells. The expression of p21waf1 and p27kip1 protein in the liver cancer cells was increased by the treatment with either agent. These two proteins may contribute to the inhibition of the liver cancer cells invasion.Conclusion Our finding suggests that the agents that specifically target the cell cycle inhibitor genes may clinically useful in the adjuvant treatment of liver cancers.

OBJECTIVE:To classify the herbs for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis.METHODS:Database of 33 commonly used herbs for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis was established by means of SPSS10.0 software package;and the nature,tastes,meridian attributions and actions of the herbs were collected as variables showing the characteristics of classification,and the names of the herbs served as variables for measurement to proceed Q Cluster in Hierarchical Cluster.RESULTS:When the herbs were classified into 4 groups,the first group included the herbs for promoting blood circulation to restore menstrual flow,the second the herbs for promoting blood circulation to arrest pain and dissipate tumor,the third the herbs of herbs for activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis and kill pain,the fourth the herbs for severely activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis.When the herbs were classified into 5 groups,the fifth group included herbs for activating blood circulation to cure wound.When the herbs were classified into 6 groups,the third one included the herbs for activating blood circulation to exclude wind and the sixth the herbs for activating blood circulation to stanch blood.CONCLUSION:Fuzzy grouping analysis can be applied to classify herbs of different kinds yet with the same efficacy and to classify the same group of herbs according to their drug actions.

With the special organization structure and function,retina is thought to be a prime candidate for developing the cellular therapies.Many types of stem cells have been explored to use for the treatment of retinal diseases and exhibit significant potential for further clinical application.However,before these results are translated to a clinical setting,sufficient investigations are required,such as the selection of the type of stem cells,transplantation strategy,the mechanism of therapeutic effect and biological safety,and how to get high differentiation efficiency,clarify the best development phase before transplantation,and achieve effective functional and structural integration of stem cells in the retina,etc.

Objective:To explore,on the basis of principles of bibliometrics,the distribution of the writers,institutions,regions and journals of the publications on HIFU and the literature amount,and to learn the situation of cross discipline study on HIFU and of the different regions where the articles on HIFU came in order to make a clear view of the characteristics and the status of co-operations in HIFU work and to determine,among them,the key authors,key institutes and key regions so that the progress of HIFU study was turned out.Method:Based on the information drawn from VIP-database,bibliometric method was used to analyze all the data on HIFU before the year of 2007.Result:833 articles were published before the year of 2007,in which 686(72.87%) were written by more than one authors,with a degree of collaboration as 2.78.The number of articles by mono-author was 312(37.45%).186 articles(22.33%) were from Chongqing,taking the first place in number.134 of the key authors published 410 papers(49.22%).10 of the institutes with more than 9 articles turned out 249 papers(29.89%).2000 saw an obvious change in the situation of publications on HIFU and the collaboration among the authors and from that year to 2006,792 papers were published with a degree of collaboration as 3.72 and the average rate of co-authership as 81.12%.Conclusion:The authors on HIFU,with a group as their key authors who were advanced in academy,productive in papers and influential on various journals in medical field,were widely distributed and had a high cooperative rate.But it was also revealed that the researchers in the field of HIFU were unevenly distributed,with the institutions in Chonqing taking the lead.

Fructus Ligustri Lucidi ( FLL) is a traditional Chinese medicine commonly used in clinic. This paper reviews the phar-macological action of FLL and its compounds, especially demon-strates the regulation and mechanism in calcium homeostasis and bone metabolism.

Objective To explore the correlation between the change of CT value of osteolytic bone metastasis after the treatment of zoledronic acid and bone metabolism before treatment in breast cancer patients.Methods Twenty breast cancer patients with osteolytic bone metastases were diagnosed by 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy and 99m Tc-MDP SPECT/CT ( contain 16-slice spiral CT) for the first time entered this study.After treatment of zoledronic acid for 3-12 months with the same method, 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy and 99mTc-MDP SPECT/CT were peformed in the 20 breast cancer patients again with the same CT scan parameters(voltages:120kV, tube currents:80mA, pitches:3.75mm).With using regions of interesting (ROI)technique, the T/NT value of osteolytic bone metastases in the first 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy were measured.The CT value of same ROI before and after zoledronic acid therapy were measured (CT1 and CT2), and the change of CT value (△CT,△CT=CT2-CT1) were calculated.The correlation between them were analyzed. SPSS 16.0 was applied for variance and linear correlation analyses.Results (1)A total of 30 lesions of osteolytic bone metastases were detected in the 20 breast cancer patients by the first 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy and 99m Tc-MDP SPECT/CT.The CT value before therapy was significantly higher than that after therapy(425 ±152HU vs 120 ±73HU, t=9.95, P<0.01).(2)The change of CT value after therapy was positively correlated with and the T/NT value of osteolytic bone metastasis(r=0.907, P<0.01).(3)The change of CT value of positive lesions after therapy was significantly higher than that of negative lesions by 99mTc-MDP bone scan(W=15,P=0.001). Conclusion 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy provides an effective method to predict the efficacy of zoledronic acid for breast cancer pa-tients with osteolytic bone metastases.The breast cancer patients with high bone metabolism should be recommended zoledronic acid thera-py, conversely should not be recommended.

Objective To analyze the clinicopathological features of diffuse large B -cell lymphoma(DL-BCL)and its relationship with prognosis.Methods The clinical data of 64 cases of DLBCL patients were retrospec-tively analyzed,and relationship between the clinical pathological features and efficacy were also analyzed.Results There were 25 cases of patients with extranodal infiltration,accounting for 39.06%.There were 26 cases of anemia in patients with newly diagnosed,accounting for 40.63%.Molecular/immune typing results showed,GCB(biochemistry center B cell -like)patients with 19 cases,accounted for 29.69%.45 patients with non -GCB,accounted for 70.31%.ECOG performance status indicators,hemoglobin levels and B symptoms were statistically significant in the two groups(χ2 =6.218,6.100,5.042,all P <0.05).Serum LDH level,large lesions were statistically significant difference(χ2 =10.005,9.227,all P <0.05).Extranodal infiltration,peripheral blood lymphocyte counts,T cell infil-tration,Ki67 and Bcl -6 and other indicators of the difference were not statistical significant (all P >0.05 ). Conclusion Uygur patients with DLBCL mainly are GCB subtype,ECOG score,hemoglobin level,B symptoms,LDH levels and large lesions can affect the prognosis.

Objective To investigate esophageal high-resolution manometry (HRM) combined with 24-hour pH monitor in detecting endoscopy-negative chest pain of esophageal origin.Methods Test results of esophageal HRM combined with 24-hour pH monitor from 40 patients with recurring chest pain of esophageal origin were retrospectively analyzed.Results In 40 patients,27 (67.5％) were diagnosed as gastroesophageal reflux disease with an average DeMeester scores at 18.3 ± 3.4,including 19 patients with esophageal body dismotility and 11 with reduced lower esophageal sphincter pressure (LESP) at a mean reduction of 5.7 mm Hg.There were 6 cases (15.0％) of achalasia,in which 1 (2.5％) was type Ⅰ and 5 (12.5％)was type Ⅱ,with an average relaxation ratio of lower esophageal sphincter (RRLES) at (30.1 ± 2.3) ％.There were 4 cases of diffuse esophageal spasm (DES),with an average contraction frontal velocity (CFV) of 12.3 ± 2.4 cm ·s-1 and abnormal contraction waves in esophageal body,spontaneous synchronous contraction waves were observed in 3 of 4 patients LESP increased in 1 patient with DES and remained normal in other 3.RRLES decreased in 2 cases with DES and remained normal in other 2.There were 2 cases (5.0％)of nutcracker esophagus,with an average distal contractile integral at 6745.5 ± 175.2 mm Hg·cm-1 ·s-1 and an average CFV at 4.3 ±0.4 cm·s-1.There was 1 case (2.5％) with absence of esophageal peristalsis,with a low LESP at 2 mmHg and DeMeester scores at 38.3.The patient was finally diagnosed as systemic sclerosis according to esophageal biopsy and other auxiliary examination.Conclusion HRM combined with 24-hour pH monitor is valuable in detecting endoscopy-negative chest pain of esophageal origin.
