Objective:To study the biologic characters of human foreskin fibroblasts(HFF)to lay the foundation for a long-term culture for human embryonic germ cells in vitro.Methods:The method of separating HFF was investigated.By immunocytochemical method,MTT and flow cytometry,we investigated the morphology and the purity of HFF,study the cell growth curve and cell cycle of HFF,and the effects of different concentrations of mitomycin on growth of HFF at different times.Results:Epidermis and dermis were more easily separated after overnight digestion(12~16 h)in 0.25% Trypsin at 4℃,compared with incubation for 2 h in 5% CO2 at 37℃.Vimentin was strongly positive stained with the purity of 95 percent.There was no obvious stranded period.The rapid proliferation period was in 1~6 d of cell growth curve.The platform stage began at 7 d.Majority of the cells were in G1/G0 phases.The cell cycle corresponded to cell growth curve.Mitomycin C(MMC)inhibited the proliferation of HFF at 12.5 ?g/ml over 2.5 h of MMC treatment.Conclusion:Its biological characters showed that HFF can be used as feeder layer for in-vitro cultured human embryonic germ cells。

Analysis of differences between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) philosophy with malnstream western medicine was done with reference to intercultural communication theory. It was found that the differences are malnly manifested through holism philosophy of TCM and dualism of Western medicine, intuition thinking mode of TCM and mechanical thinking mode of western medicine, and ideographic Chinese language and objective description of the Western medicine. The translation principle was also discussed with the perspective of intercultural communication. It is of great significance to respect the recipient’s privilege, to create intimate text, and to understand the bilingual differences if TCM translation is to be promoted.

Objective To establish an analytical method for fingerprint of Citri Reticulatae decoction pieces by HPLC. Methods Thermo C18 chromatographic column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5μm) was used with methanol-0.3%phosphoric acid in gradient elution. The flow rate was 0.8 mL/min, the detection wavelength was set at 280 nm, and the temperature was 40 ℃. The similarities of the 15 batches of samples were compared by similarity evaluation, cluster analysis and principal component analysis. Results Based on the fingerprints of Citri Reticulatae decoction pieces, 8 common peaks were identified. The similarities were all more than 0.9 among all batches. 15 batches can be divided into three categories. Conclusion The method is simple and steady. It provides a basis for the quality control and evaluation of Citri Reticulatae decoction pieces.

120 cases of nuchal ligament strain were treated with Tuina at the nape, tapping Dazhui (GV 14) with plum-blossom needle, and cupping Dazhui(GV 14). Objective To study the effective constituents from the stem bark of Erythrina variegata.Methods The compounds Ⅰ-Ⅸ were isolated by a combination of silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,and ODS chromatographies and their structures were identified by spectral methods.Results Nine known compounds were isolated from the stem bark of E.variegata.Their structures were identified by means of spectroscopic analysis as: 5,4′-dihydroxy-8-(3,3-dimethylally)-2″,2″-dimethylpyrano [5,6∶6,7] isoflavone(Ⅰ),stigmasterol(Ⅱ), erythrinasinate B(Ⅲ),3-hydroxy-2′,2′-dimethylpyrano [5,6∶9,10] pterocarpan(Ⅳ),5,7-dihydroxy-8-(3,3-dimethylally)-dihydroflavanone (Ⅴ),5,4′-dihydroxy-2″,2″-dimethylpyrano [5,6∶6,7] isoflavone(Ⅵ),5,7,4′-trihydroxy-6,8-di(3,3-dimethylally) isoflavone(Ⅶ),5,2′,4′-trihydroxy-8-(3,3-dimethylally)-2″,2″-dimethylpyrano [5,6∶6,7] isoflavone(Ⅷ),5,4′-dihydroxy-6-(3,3-dimethylally)-2″,2″-dimethylpyrano [5,6∶7,8] isoflavone(Ⅸ).Conclusion Compounds Ⅰ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅶ,and Ⅸ are isolated from this plant for the first time and compound Ⅴ is newly isolated from the plant of Erythrina Linn.
