With the development of proteomics, the application in the research for the function of proteins becomes popular. This review article presents that proteomics, a kind of tools of molecular biology, has been successfully used for studying the pathogenesis of type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Objective To compare effect of chemotherapy agent DDP to MACS in sorting cancer stemcells (CSC) of laryngeal carcinoma cell line Hep-2. Methods CD133 magnetic beads were applied to sort Hep-2 cells. Different dosages of DDP were used to treat Hep-2 cells for 48 hours. Enrichment rate of CD133+ cells by MACS and after DDP treatment was detected by Flow Cytometer (FCM). Morphologic change was observed under inverse-phase microscope. Results FCM showed that the sorting rate of CD133+ cells through MACS was 64.33 %, while after DDP treatment for 48 hours, the rate of CD133+ cells was enriched significantly in each dosage of DDP, with the maximal rate was 50.7 %, in the dosage of 4 μg/ml. There was a significantly difference between MACS and each of DDP group (P <0.01). Cells treated with DDP were abnormal in morphology. Conclusion MACS and DDP sorting has respective advantages in enriching CSC in Hep-2 cell lines.

Objective To develop measles and Japanese encephalitis(JE)combined attenuated live vaccine. Methods The independent development of China′s Shanghai 191 measles vaccine strains and Japanese encephalitis SA14-14-2 vaccine strains were selected to prepare two of monovalent vaccines solution,which were used to conduct the interference test,the ratio test,the screening test of protection agent,the screening test of dilution,and the alternative of the curve of freeze-dried.Results The preparation technology of measles and Japanese encephalitis combined live attenuated vaccine was determined.The batches of the products met the quality requirement of the three kinds of monovalent vaccine in the Pharmacopoeia of the people's Republic of China(edition 2005,volume 3).The cross-interference and increased response were not found in the animal test,and the immune response of mouse was not influenced,which indicated the safety and immunogenicity of with good combined vaccine.Conclusion Measles and Japanese encephalitis combined attenuated live vaccine was developed successfully.

Objective To evaluate the effect of laparoscopic myomectomy. Methods Clinical data of 62 cases of laparoscopic myomectomy were analyzed retrospectively. Results Success was achieved in all the operations.Of the 62 cases,intramural myoma was confirmed in 45 cases,and subserous myoma,17 cases (non-pedicled,10 cases; pedicled,7 cases).A total of 101 myomas were removed,with a diameter of 1～9 cm (mean,6 8 cm).The mean operative time was 25～270 min (mean,99 min),and the intraoperative blood loss,10～400 ml (mean,63 ml).The postoperative hospital stay was 2～8 days (mean,4 7 days) and the overall complication rate was 25 8% (16/62).Follow-up observation in 42 cases for 2～36 months (mean,9 months) found recurrence in 2 cases and full-term pregnancy in 2 out of 10 cases with infertility. Conclusions Laparoscopic myomectomy has advantages of safety,quick recovery,short hospital stay and fewer complications.

Objective To compare the clinical effect of povidone-iedine cream plus vagina scrubbing with traditional preoperative vaginal preparation method in order to seek a more safe,effective,convenient and efficient method to prepare the vagina.Methods 100 cases of married patients undergoing elective gynecological surgery were divided into the observation group and the control group with 50 patients in each.The observation group adopted povidone-iodine cream plus vagina scrubbing and the control group used traditional method.Two groups were prepared in the vagina before and after taking cervical swabs for bacterial culture to compare the positive rate of bacterial culture.Results Intra-group comparison of vaginal bacterial culture before and after vaginal preparation was significantly different,but no statistical significance was seen between the two groups.Conclusions Vagina preparation with povidoneiodine cream plus vagina scrubbing can not only reduce the workload of nurses but also improve patient comfort degree.

Objective To investigate the effects of isoflurane (Iso) on the water-maze performances in scopolamine (Sco) treated rats.Methods Fifty-five male SD rats weighing 150-200 g were randomly divided into 8 groups :group I control (Con)/1 d ( n = 6); group II Iso/1 d ( n = 7);group III Sco/1 d ( n = 9);group IV Iso + Sco/1 d ( n = 9) ; group V Con/7 d ( n = 6); group VI Iso/7 d ( n = 6); group VII Sco/7 d ( n = 6) and group VIII Iso + Sco/7 d ( n = 6) . In Iso and Iso + Sco groups the animals inhaled 1.5% isoflurane 2 h per day for four consecutive days. The Morris water-maze (MWM) test was performed for 3 consecutive days starting from the first day (group I -IV ) or the 7th day (group V -VII) after the 4 day isoflurane inhalation. Scopolamine 0.8 mg.kg-1 was given ip 20 min before the beginning of the MWM test in Sco and Iso + Sco groups.
