Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(10):944-946
ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus neuromuscular electrical stimulation in treating motor aphasia after ischemic stroke.MethodSeventy-five patients were randomized into a control group of 38 cases and a treatment group of 37 cases. The two groups both received basic treatment. Besides, the control group was given acupuncture treatment; the treatment group was given acupuncture plus neuromuscular electrical stimulation. The acupuncture treatment and neuromuscular electrical stimulation were given once a day, 10 d as a treatment course, totally for 2 successive courses. The Aphasia Battery of Chinese (ABC) was observed before and after treatment to evaluate the speech function.ResultThe total effective rate was 81.6%in the control group versus 89.2% in the treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The Communication Activities of Daily Living (CADL-T) scores were significantly increased after intervention in both groups (P<0.01), and the CADL-T score of the treatment group was significantly higherthan that of the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture is effective in improving the speech dysfunction and the quality of life in patients after ischemic stroke, and it can produce a higher therapeutic efficacy when combined with neuromuscularelectrical stimulation.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2000;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the value of barium meal examination in diagnosing heterotopic pancreas in the stomach and duodenum. Methods Five cases with pathologically or stomach endoscopy proved heterotopic pancreas were analyzed retrospectively with emphasis on imaging findings. Results Heterotopic pancreas localized in the stomach in 3(the antrum of stomach in 2 and the body of stomach in 1) and in the duodenal bulb in 2.On barium meal examination, the atypical findings were well-defined as oval or round masses with smooth margins and omphaloid barium patch in three, dilatation of heterotopic pancreatic duct in two.The lesions ranged from 1.5 cm to 3.5 cm in size. Conclusion The characteristic findings of heterotopic pancre as are well-defined as oval or round masses with smooth margins and omphaloid barium patch, and dilatation of heterotopic pancreatic duct.To understanding these X-ray findings may be helpful in making a correct diagnosis.

Objective To evaluate the findings of fat necrosis in the breast. Methods 9 caes of fat necrosis of the breast proved by pathology and were reviewed. All patients underwent mammography,3 cases underwent plain CT and contrast-enhanced CT.Results The mammographic features of fat necrosis included: the lesion out of gland tissue showed multiple rope and node with fat density(7 cases);thelesion in gland tissue showed regular(1 case) and irregular mass(1 case). Conclusion The image has a higher accuracy than physicalexamination in distinguishing fat necrosis and breast carcinoma.Multiple rope and node with fat density is the typical signs of fat necrosis of the breast.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(08):-
[Objective]To study the pertinency of position of the lesser trochanter and lateral shaft of femur for internal fixation of fracture of the lesser trochanter.[Method]One hundred and twenty thigh bones were taken X-ray films on normotopia and lateral position, anatomical observation and measurement of the the lesser trochanter were completed with angel and length relative to lateral shaft of femur.[Result]Vertical axis length of the lesser trochanter was 26.38?2.44 mm and transverse diameter was 15.61?1.49mm.Its retroverted angle was 17.66??10.56?and uptilted angle was 26.33??3.33?.[Conclusion]The appropriate position in fixation of the fracture of the lesser trochanter is the point on the besctor of the lateral cortex of the femur on level of the lower of the lesser trochanter. Its retroverted angle is 10?-15?and uptilted angle is 25?-30?.The length of the screw is 45-50 mm,it is beneficial to design the plate in femur with the data.

Objective To analyze the effect of iodine-131I in the treatment of patients with hyperthyroid heart disease(HHD).Methods The clinical materials and therapeutic effect by 131 I were reviewed in 100 patients with HDD.Results The heal rate of hyperthyroidism and HHD were 82.3%,86.5% in treatment group, and were higher than that of the control group (69.0% and 76.2% ) ( x2 =3.80,3.83,P < 0.05 ) ; HHD with atrial fibrillation was 65.0%,average cardioversion after 131I treatment was 74.4% after the treatment by 131I;The LVEDD、LVESD、LVEDV and HR after 131 I treatment were lower compared with before treatment ( all P < 0.05 ),SV and EF were increased ( all P < 0.01 ).Conclusion 131I treatment in patients with HHD,can significantly improve the efficacy of a heart disease

Chinese Journal of Medical Physics 2005;22(2):441-447
Registration of serial images plays an increasingly important role in medicine. A novel registration method used for serial images matching is proposed, which is based on the joint histogram. After thresholding the two images to be registered, the joint histogram is divided into four separate regions. Then the criterion function is defined as bin counting in a specific region of the joint histogram, which simplifies the computation of the criteria function greatly and speeds up the alignment process significantly. We choose the Powell optimization algorithm to calculate the registration parameters. The comparison of the results from both mutual information and our method shows that the new method based on segmentation and counting is a fast, simple, efficient and accurate registration method.

Objective To evaluate the influence of sevoflurane anesthesia on the expression of growth-associated protein 43 (GAP-43) and neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) in hippocampal neurons of neonatal rats. Methods Thirty-six pathogen-free Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 7 weeks, weighing 15-20 g,were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =9 each) using a random number table:control group (C group),1.5% sevoflurane 6 h group (L group),3% sevoflurane 2 h group (H1 group) and 3% sevoflurane 6 h group (H2 group).Group L inhaled 1.5% sevoflurane in oxygen for 6 h.H1 and H2 groups inhaled 3% sevoflurane in oxygen for 2 and 6 h,respectively.Group C inhaled 30% oxygcn only. When the neonatal rats were 14 days old,the rats underwent Morris water maze test for 7 consecutive days.Place navigation and spatial probe tests were carried out. After the end of Morris water maze test, the rats were sacrificed, and the hippocampus was obtained for determination of the expression of GAP-43 and NCAM in hippocampal neurons. Results Compared with group C,the escape latency was significantly prolonged, the time of staying at the original platform quadrant was shortened, and the expression of GAP-43 was down-regulated in L,H1 and H2 groups, and the frequency of crossing the original platform was decreased in L and H2 groups. There was no significant difference in NCAM expression among the four groups. Conclusion The mechanism by which sevoflurane anesthesia decreases the cognitive function may be related to down-regulated expression of GAP-43,but not related to NCAM expression in hippocampal neurons of neonatal rats.
