AIM: To study the absorption performance and purification process of total flavones from Bushen Recipe(Radix polygoni multiflori;Herba epimedii;Rhizoma drynariae;etc) with macroporous resin. METHODS: The contents of total flavones,icariin,tetrahydroxystilbene and naringin were worked as indexes,the adsorptive capacity of D101,DA201 and DM301 resins were investigated,and the static adsorption curve,dynamic leakage curve and elution curve were used for the selection of macroporous resin. RESULTS: The elution parameters of selected DM301 consisted of the 0.25 BV/h feed rate solution ratio of 4 BV water to elute resin and 4 BV 70% alcohol to be collected as elution solvent,and the elution rate of 2.4 BV/h was established. CONCLUSION: Macroporous resin method is a better candidate method for purifying flavones in Bushen Recipe.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the use of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007,and to analyze and evaluate the trend and rationality.METHODS The data about consumption quantity and consumption sum of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007 were retrieved by means of computer management software in the department of pharmacy for the analysis of the clinical use of antibiotics using the method of defined daily dose(DDD).RESULTS Fluoro quinolones,cephalosporins and plant antibiotics have dominated the first places among the antibiotics used in our hospital,and the consumption of cephalosporins kept increasing year by year.CONCLUSIONS The use of antibiotics in our hospital should be further standardized to ensure the drug using safe,efficient and economic in our hospital.

OBJECTIVE To promote clinical rational use of antibiotic prophylaxis through surveying it in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (OG) by pharmacists. METHODS Data of 223 cases using of antibiotic prophylaxis in OG were retrospectively analyzed. According to unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis,the clinical pharmacists put out reasonable measures and directed treatment in succedent 206 patients. To investigate the effects of Baoganning on injury of liver cells induced by hydrogen peroxide (H 2O 2) in rats.Rat models of injury of liver cells were induced by H 2O 2 at final concentration of 2 mmol/L. Six kinds of suspension of isolated rat liver cells were prepared according to the addition of serum. They were group A ( blank control), group B (H 2O 2 model), group C (normal control), group D (vitamin E), group E (low dosage of Baoganning) and group F (high dosage of Baoganning). Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, nitric oxide (NO) and malonyl dialdehyde (MDA) contents and glutamic pyruvic transaminase (ALT) level were detected.SOD activity and NO and MDA contents were increased and ALT level was decreased in Baoganning groups.[Conclusion]Baoganning exerts a protective effect on injury of liver cells induced by H 2O 2 in rats.

Objective To investigate the expression level of lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase (L-PGDS) mRNA and its protein in glioma.Methods The L-PGDS mRNA was determined by real-time quantitative RT-PCR in 23 glioma and 5 healthy brain specimens.
