Renal vein thrombosis is usually a complication of multiple underlying renal disease rather than primary process. High incidence of renal vein thrombosis in patients with nephritic syndrome, which suggest the nephrotic syndrome play a paramount role in the genesis of renal vein thrombosis or thromboembolic phenomena. But these are likely to relationship of “egg and chicken”, and then we cannot determine what is primary of these. Recently authors experienced a case that was questioned renal vein thrombosis with nephrotic-syndrome clinically, laboratory and preliminary radiologically, and this case in confirmed by selective left renal venography. Here we report a case of renal vein thrombosis with nephrotic syndrome which successfully managed with oral anticoagulants and reviewed literatures.

2.Influence of Stress, Social Support and Lifestyle on Health-related Quality of Life in Middle Aged Women
Journal of Korean Biological Nursing Science 2019;21(1):62-69
PURPOSE: Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of stress, social support, and lifestyle on health-related quality of life among middle-aged women. METHODS: One hundred forty three-middle aged women were recruited and completed questionnaires regarding their stress, social support, lifestyle and health-related quality of life. Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. RESULTS: Regression model was statistically significant (F=24.80, p<.001) with 46% of adjusted R2. Stress showed to be a major factor influencing health-related quality of life in middle-aged women (p<.001) and the presence of chronic illness (p=.011) was noted as next in the result of a multiple regression analysis. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that nursing professionals should include strategies to reduce stress and to consider helping women with chronic illness when developing a health promotion program to increase health related quality of life for middle-aged women.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1985;21(6):975-984
With simple abdomen, double contrast colon study, and ultrasongraphy, authors retrospectively analyzedradilogic findings of 46 cases which were proved periappendiceal abscess, due to perforation of appendix, byhistology or follow-up ultrasnongraphy from May in 1983 to July in 1985 at Yeung-Nam University Hospital. Theresuls obtained were as follows: 1. Of 46 cases, 24 cases were males and 22 cases females, with the results ofabove statistics, periappendiceal abscess was not influenced by sex. 2. Periappendiceal abscess was mostfrequently demonstrated in forties. 3. Comparison of ultrasonography and B.E. Pseudorenal pattern(Ultrasonography)- well defined defect (B.E.) Cystic pattern(Ultrasonography)- serrated defect (B.E.) 4. Missed 2 cases inultrasonography were detected in B.E., i.e. sensitivity of B.E. is higher than that of ultrasonography. 5.Differences of ultrasonography and B.E.

A stomach cancer patient is reported, who presented with asterixis and dysarthria, after the administration of 5-fluorouracil derivatives, and progressed to a state of arnnesia and disorientation. At first impression was metastatic brain tumor however7 the result of a cerebrospinal fluid cytology for malignancy was negative, and magnetic resonance imaging study(MRI) revealed diffuse hyperintense lesion of the white matter, indicative of leukoencephalopathy. Upon discontinuing the drugs, patient recovered significantly.lly predominant muscle weakness from distal myopathy with rimmed vacuole formation While we present a young female.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1995;33(3):407-409
Emphysematous cystitis is a rare condition characterized by gas collection in the wall and lumen of the bladder. We experienced three cases of emphysematous cystiris. All patients were female; one was associated with a long term history of diabetes mellitus and another with urinary indwelling catheter. All of the cases were easily diagnosed on plain radiograph and CT scan, and were successfully treated with antibiotic therapy. In one of the cases, however, associated abscess due to perivesical extension of inflammation was treated by combined external drainage.

With advancement of endoscopical instruments and technique, gallstone diseases can be managed with laparoscopic cholecystectomy which has rapidly and radically changed the surgical treatment of gallstone diseases. The ideas of laparoscopic surgery was introduced by Germany gynecologist Semm, in 1967 and was first performed by French surgeon Mouret, Dubois in 1987. Although many reports of early laparoscopic cholecystectomy were excellent, many surgeons want to know the surgical results of laparoscopic cholecystectomy are enough good to perform comparing with the conventional cholecystectomy, especially in early complications and late complications. Journal of the Korean Society of Neonatology 1998;5(1):95-99
Craniofacial clefts are rare among facial anomalies with an incidence of 1.5 to 5 per 100,000 births, and 1 per 100 cases of cleft lip and palate. The Tessier No. 7 clefts are unusual lesions that result from failure of the embryonic mandibular and maxillary processes to properly fuse and form the corners of the mouth. We experienced a case of Tessier No. 7 craniofacial cleft in a 1 day-old female patient who presented with a macrostomia and auricular malformation. The diagnosis was established by clinical and radiographic findings. A brief review of literature was made.

Journal of the Korean Neurological Association 1983;1(1):53-59
Twenty-one patients of the adult Japanese encephalitis, who had been admitted in National Medical Center during recent two years, were investigated to evaluate their epidemiological features and clinical courses. Male patients were more frequently affected than female, and forty-three percepts of patients were third decade. The peripheral leukocytosis and mild pleocytosis and non specific inflammatory findings in cerebrospinal fluid were observed, all case had positive titer in hemoagglutination inhibition test. The incidence of neuropsychiatric sequelas of Japanese encephaltis was about 67%, and among them speech disturbance was most frequent. Further epidemiological and microbiological studies should be necessary to evaluate the tendency of recent increment in incidence of adult type of Japanese encephalitis.
