1.The Effects of Bleopuncture Technique in the Treatment of Warts.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1994;32(3):446-450
BACKGROUND: The warts may promptly return despite being treated with a myriad of destructive methods. The most successful treatment has been the intralesional injection of bleomycin sulfate, but unplessant side effects caused by the difficulty of infiltrating only the wart tissue have limited its use. OBJECTIVE: Our purpose was to determine the effects of bleopunciure technique in the treatment of warts. METHODS: We performed a multiple puncture technique using a 25 gauge hypodermic needle to introduce bleomycin hydrochloricle into warts. RESULTS: This technique resulted in elimination of 91.4% of a random series on 105 warts after a single treatment. Recurrence and side effects were not observed during a 1 year follow-up period. CONCLUSION: We experienced a superior technique for introducing Heomycin into the wart, which has resulted in the cure of a signficant number of warts following a sing treatment.

Korean Journal of Pathology 1985;19(4):463-467
Anisakiasis refers to the accidental infection of humans by a marine nematode as a result of eating a raw flsh which contains larval stages of the nematode sub-family Anisakidae. This patient developed acute epigastric pain three days after eating a raw flsh, Astroconcer myriaster. Gastrofiberscopy revealed Anisakis larva invading the stomach wall and the larva could be extracted using a biopsy forceps via gastrofiberscopy. The worm was identified as Terranova type A larva based on their morphologic features such as its length, width, intestinal cecum reaching to anterior one-third level of ventriculus and a mucron at posterior end.

This mycological and cultural investigation was made in 86 cases of onychomycosis diagnosed on positive KOH wet mount at Chosun University Hospital from October, 1989 to February, 1990. The results were as follows : l. The ratio of male to female was 1.2:1. According to Zaiass classificat.ion, distal subungual onychomycosis (DSO) was the most predominant type(79 cases) and others, in decreasing frequency, were superficial white onychomycosis (SWO) (Fcases), total dyst, rophic onychomycosis (TDO) (1 cases, and proximal subungual onychomycosis (PSO) was not. found. 2. In DSO, isolat,ed fungi were T. mentagrophyte(31 cases), "i'. rubrum(23 c

Slipped femoral capital epiphysis is a rare entity in Korea and only three cases have been reported so far1,2,3). One of our cases was a unilateral mild chronic slip in a 14 year old boy with Frohlich body type. It was treated by gentle closed reduction followed by knowles' pin fixation. The other case, a 20 year old female, presented chondrolysis of the left hip. Scrutinization of roentgenograms revealed typical features of an unrecognized slipped femoral capital epiphysis. It was treated by Wagner resurfacing replacement arthroplasty.
