5.A Case of Solitary Fibrofolliculoma.
Kyu Han KIM ; Jee Ho CHOI ; Yoo Shin LEE
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1984;22(6):672-674
The fibrofolliculoma is characterized by abnormal hair follicles with epithelial strands extending out from the infundibulum of the hair follicle into a hyperplastic mantle of specialized fibrous tissue. We have seen a peculiar case of a 1 year and 2 months old male who had a solitary papule on the left side of his face which histologically showed a typical fibrofolliculoma pattern.

6.Clinical Experience of Etafenone (Baxacor(R)) in the Treatment of Angina Pectoris.
Chi Ho CHOI ; Hee Sung SONG ; Soon Kyu SUH
Korean Circulation Journal 1975;5(2):87-92
The clinical effect of etafenone on 12 cases of angina pectoris(9 males and 3 females with average age of 58.3 years) were studied and following results were obtained: 1. Anginal chest pains were improved after average 9 days (3~15 days) of medication and the dreug was very effective in 41.7%, moderately effective in 33.3% and slightly effective in 25.0% of cases. 2. The ST segment depression of E.C.G. were reduced in 50.0%, improvement of T waves inversion or enlargement of T waves were observed in 66.7% and E.C.G. improvement either ST segment or T wave observed in 75.0% of cases. 3. No side reactions such as hypotension, palpitation, dizziness, headache or gastrointestinal disturbances were seen during the treatement with etafenone.

8.Comparative study of STIR image with SE image in diagnosis of the orbital disease.
Soo Nami CHOI ; Ho Kyu LEE ; Dae Chul SUH
Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1993;29(6):1140-1145
To evaluate the efficacy of STIR (short tau inversio recovery) image in the diagnosis of orbital diseases, we compared the STIR images with conventional SE(spin-echo) images in 17 patients. The fat signal was reliably nulled at inversion time of approximately 160-170 msec in all cases. We analyzed all the cases in the aspects of the detection of lesion and the lesion-to-back ground contrast retrospectively. Regarding lesion, the detection rates of STIR, T1 and T2-weighted images were 89, 88 and 83% respectively. In the aspect of lesion-to-background contrast, the contrast ratios of STIR and T1, T2-weighted image were 87% and 64, 56%, respectively. In conclusion, STIR images were similar to T1-and T2-weighted images in the detection of lesion, but superior in the aspect of lesion-to-background contrast. So the STIR images may be a useful adjunct to conventional SE images for the diagnosis of orbital disease.

9.A Case of Herpes Genitalis Associated with Childhood Sexual Abuse.
Koo Il SEO ; Kyu Han KIM ; Jee Ho CHOI
Annals of Dermatology 1993;5(1):41-43
We report a case of recurrent herpes genitalis in a 5-year-old girl which was considered to result from childhood sexual abuse. The skin lesion was an eroded erythematous macule with overlying multiple vesicles on the labia majora. We detected Herpes simplex virus DNA by using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in a biopsy specimen from the vesicular lesion.
