Korean Journal of Dermatology 1971;9(2):15-22
The patient was a 24-year-old Korean man with an extensive nevus flammeus over the rigbt buttock, penis, leg, ankle and dorsal aspect of foot. Varicose veins on the flexor aspect of mid-portion of lower extremity of right side are noted remarkable hypertrophy of the soft tissue and bones are also found on the area where hemangioma is associated with them. Radiological examination of spine, pelvic, femur, tibia and fibula bones showed longer and thicker in affected side (right) than unaffected (left), and vertebral bones showed compensatory scoliosis-convexity to the left (normal side)and damage of vertebral bodies at the level of L-3, 4, 5. These are well established and described as Klippel-Trenaunay-Parkes Weber Syndrome by Klippel, Trenaunay and Parkes-Weber. Authors are made extensive review of literatures of the syndrome and discussions on the type, varient, heredity, sex, onset of age, affected location, racial distribution, right name of syndrorne and differential diagnosis of the syndrome.

2.Subcutaneous Fat Necrosis Associated with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma: A case report.
Korean Journal of Pathology 1996;30(2):155-160
Subcutaneous fat necrosis is manifested by erythematous tender nodules on the legs, buttock or trunk and is associated with pancreatic disease including acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic carcinoma, pseudocyst, pancreatic stone and other diseases. Its histologic findings are pathognomonic and reveal foci of subcutaneous fat necrosis with "ghost-like" anucleated cells with thick "shadowy wall" and surrounding inflammatory infiltrate consisting of polymorphonuclear cells, eosinophils, lymphocytes, histiocytes, foam cells and foreign body giant cells. We experienced a case of subcutaneous fat necrosis associated with pancreatic adenocarcinoma manifested by subcutaneous nodules in the buttock and lower extremities and by arthralgia of the left knee in a 67-year-old woman. Therefore, we are reporting to emphasize the importance of the skin findings of the internal disease.

7.A Clinical Evaluation of Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Kwang Hee KIM ; Chang Duck KIM ; Jin Hai HYUN
Korean Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 1993;13(1):99-110
To investigate the diagnostic accuracy of ERCP in pancreatobiliary disease, the authors analysed the 1,244 cases of ERCP. The success rate of ERCP was 91.5%. The diagnostic accuracy of ERCP was 93.6% and complications occurred in 2.1%. Complications included pancreatitis, cholangitis and drug reactions. Among the biliary tract disease diagnosed, by ERCP, biliary tract stone was the most common finding. Compared with operative diagnosis of biliary tract stones, the sensitivity of ERCP diagnosis was 92.7% while that of sonographic diagnosis was 81.4%. The specificity of ERCP diagnosis was 94.4% while that of sonagraphic diagnosis was 80.9%. ln the diagnosis of common bile duct stones, ERCP was more accurrate than sonographic diagnosis. The results show that ERCP was a safe and effective diagnostic tool in the assessment of pancreatobiliary tract disease.
