2.NUTRITIONAL EVALUATION OF PROTEIN——Ratio Coefficient of Amino Acid
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(02):-
The method of ratio coefficient of amino acid, based on the theory of amino acid balance, is a new one designed to evaluate nutritional value of food protein. The calculation and the meaning of Ratio Coefficient (RC) and Score of RC (SRC) are described. RC can be used to judge limit amino acid and to calculate the amount that shall be added to a fortified food. SRC can be used to evaluate nutritional quality of protein. A high correlation was obtained between SRC and Biological Value (BV), P

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(5):380-381
ObjectiveTo compare the early rehabilitation of child with brain impair syndrome and cerebral palsy executed in hospital and in family.Methods180 children of 0~2 years old with brain impair syndrome and cerebral palsy were divided into group A and group B randomly. The children of 0~6 months old were in group A1 and group B1, while that of 6 months~2 years old were in group A2 and group B2, correspondingly. Children in group A accepted early formal strengthen rehabilitation training in hospital, and that in group B accept family rehabilitation through guidance. Development quotient (DQ) were assess with Japan Yuanchengsi infant analysis growth scale half a year after.ResultsThe DQ of group A showed higher than that of group B(P<0.01), and DQ of group A1 was higher than DQ of group A2(P<0.05).ConclusionEarly rehabilitation training in hospital is more effective on early cerebral palsy.

5.Current researches and existing problems of molecular biology in neovascular age-related macular degeneration and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(4):289-292
Neovascular age-related macular degeneration(nAMD)and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV)are leading causes of blindness and visual impairment in older population. They are both with a hemorrhagic and exudative macular disorder.PCV has been proposed to be a sub-type of nAMD,hut this is a matter of controversy.Although several genes are found to be associated with PCV and nAMD(CFH,ARMS2/HTRA1),but more genes show no common association with the two diseases.such as BF/C2,Elastin,PEDF,SERPlNG1,VEGF,APOE genes. All these Results might imply that PCV and nAMD have different pathogenesis. But in the current state of our knowledge for PCV and nAMD.we still could not conclude if they are the same diseases. The purpose of these review is to discuss the recent progress in the molecular biology of PCV and nAMD.

AIM To study the effects of vitamin E succinate (VES) on the cell growth and the DNA synthesis of human gastric carcinoma cell (SGC-7901). METHODS The growth curve was determined with counting viable cell numbers. The colony formations were counted with Giemsa dye staining. The cell cycle was analyzed using flow cytometry (FCM) and the DNA synthesis was observed with the 3H-TdR incorporation method. RESULTS VES could inhibit the growth and colony formation of SGC-7901 cells. Growth curve display:after SGC-7901 cells were treated with 5 mg*L-1、10 mg*L-1 and 20 mg*L-1 VES for seven days, the inhibition rate are 41.2%、98.3% and 100%, respectively. The colony formation of SGC-7901 cell at 24 h was inhibited 6.7%、50.4%、87.2%, and at 48 h was 24.7%、73.4%、100%, respectively. FCM analysis revealed that VES could decrease the percentage of cells in G2-M phase after treated 48 h in a dose-dependent manner, while increase the percentage of cells in S pheise. The assays of 3H-TdR incorporation into DNA showed obvious inhibition dose-dependently after exposure to VES for 48 h. CONCLUSION VES could inhibit gastric carcinoma cell growth by arresting DNA synthesis in vitro.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 2004;0(06):-
Objective:To study the effect of sulforaphane(SFN) on the growth of human bladder cancer cell and its mechanism in vitro. Method:Morphological characteristics of T24 cell nucleus induced by SFN were observed by AO/EB fluorescein staining .The effect of SFN on the T24 cell cycle was determined by flow cytometry. The expression of TrxR at the transcriptional and translational levels were measured by RT-PCR and Western blot methods respectively. Results:(1) After the cells were treated with 10 ?mol/L and 20 ?mol/L SFN for 24 h and 48 h, nuclear fragmentation and apoptotic body were seen under fluorescence microscope. (2) SFN could block the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase showed by flow cytometry. Moreover, the treatment of 20 ?mol/L SFN for 48h could cause the appearance of sub-G1 before G0/G1 phase. (3) The expression of TrxR mRNA were increased by the treatment of 10 ?mol/L SFN for 4 h, 10 h,24 h ,compared with the control group. Furthermore ,the treatment with high dose SFN (20 ?mol/L ) for 10h or 24 h could induce the expression of TrxR mRNA more significantly . (4)The expression of TrxR protein in the 10 ?mol/L SFN for 24 h group was augmented compared with the control group , and aftertreatment with 20 ?mol/L SFN for 8 h and 24 h, its expression was significantly higher than that in the control group . Conclusion:SFN can inhibit the growth of T24 cell ,induce apoptosis and arrest T24 cell in G0/G1 phase. Its mechanism is associated with the induction of TrxR both at the transcriptional and translational levels.

International Eye Science 2014;(8):1558-1560
AIM: To immediately observe the complication of corneal flap after LASIK surgery.
METHODS:A retrospective case series were studies. Totally 2 040 cases ( 4 080 eyes ) from January 2010 to October 2012 in our hospital were collected, the corneal flap was observed using lamp microscope after LASIK within 30min. Corneal flap dislocation, corneal flap strial and intraface debris were examined after operation, the effective treatment and controlled measure should be taken for these complications.
RESULTS: Postoperative complications were corneal flap dislocation 102 eyes (2. 5%), corneal flapstriae 95 eyes (2. 33%), interface debris 105 eyes (2.57%). No failure case was seen. There had no corneal flap-related complications, which seriously impact the visual quality after the surgery.
CONCLUSION: Carefully postoperative examination at the first - time is an effective way to manage some complications of post - LASIK. Thus promoting the diagnosis and treatment of post-LASIK complications.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(08):-
Objective To study the effect of pravastatin on the patients with chronic renal failure(CRF)and normal blood lipid. Methods 48 cases of CRF patients with normal blood lipid were randomly divided into two groups. 26 patients of group 1 were given pravastatin besides basic treatment. 22 patients of group 2 were only given basic treatment. The treatment was consecutive for one year. Blood lipid, serum creatinine, clearance rate of serum creatinine(Ccr), urinary retinol-binding protein(RBP) and protein amount in urine were tested respectively before treatment and one month, six months and one year after the treatment. Results Compared with the patients of group 2, blood lipid, urinary RBP and total urinary proteins and serum creatinne decreased, and Ccr increased in the patients of group 1. Conclusion Pravastatin can postpone the renal dysfunction of the CRF patients with nomal blood lipid.
