Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(5):366-368
OBJECTIVE:
To analyze the characteristics in the incarcerated inmate's death, investigate the main cause of death of the incarcerated inmate and provide some information for forensic investigation.
METHODS:
The cases from the forensic medical center of Shanxi Medical University from 2005 to 2013 were selected. The statistical analysis was performed by using the incarcerated inmate's gender, age, cause of death, manner of death, and disease as the markers.
RESULTS:
There were 100 men, 5 women in the 105 incarcerated inmates; the age range was from 16 to 65 years; Inmates were mostly died of natural diseases, mainly in the respiratory and cardiovascular diseases; the main unnatural death was suicide with a rate of 54.5%.
CONCLUSION
At present, most incarcerated inmate's death are due to natural diseases. The prison should improve incarcerated inmate's lives, work and health care conditions, and strengthen supervision of law enforcement.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2006;26(6):485-488
In order to realize the current situation and existing problems of integrative medicine of Chinese and Western medicine (ICWM) in China, a survey with questionnaires was conducted, its contents including the viewpoint of patients, who received ICWM therapy, on ICWM and on doctors of ICWM; the condition of ICWM researches; the present development of ICWM hospital and the existing problem in these hospital, etc. by inquiry on medical workers showed that most of them considered the best approach for medical research is the modern medical or the modern scientific studying method, and more than 71.2% patients prefered ICWM therapy the treatment most willing to receive.

7.Effect of Asterone on LPS-induced Inflammation and Autophagy in Airway Cells
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2023;52(6):791-795,822
Objective To investigate the effect of asterone on airway epithelial cell autophagy and its mechanism through LPS-induced airway epithelial cell inflammation model. Methods Beas-2B cells(human bronchial epithelial cells)were induced by LPS to construct an inflammation model. The effect of asterone on the proliferative activity of Beas-2B cells was detected by CCK-8.The levels of IL-6 and TNF-a in the cells were detected by ELISA.The expression levels of NF-κB and AP-1 in each group of cells were detected by RT-PCR.The relative expression of NF-κB、p-NF-κB、AP-1、Beclin 1、LC3-Ⅱ、LC3-Ⅰ、mTOR、p-mTOR、p-S6K1 and S6K1 was detected by Western blotting. The changes of autophagy in each group of cells were observed by acridine orange staining. Results Compared with the control group, the relative expression of AP-1 and p-NF-κB was signifi-cantly higher than that of LPS group(P<0.05);orange and red fluorescence with many dotted red spots of acidic membrane vesicles as well as increased autophagy level were observed in cells;the relative expressions of Beclin 1 and LC3-Ⅱ were signifi-cantly increased in cells(P<0.05),and expressions of LC3-Ⅰ,p-mTOR and p-S6K1 were significantly reduced(P<0.05).Compared with the LPS group, the relative expressions of AP-1 and p-NF-κB in the LPS+asterone group were significantly de-creased(P<0.05);less orange and red fluorescence was observed in cells, and the level of autophagy was decreased(P<0.05).The relative expressions of Beclin 1 and LC3-Ⅱ were reduced(P<0.05).The expressions of LC3-Ⅰ,p-mTOR and p-S6K1 were increased. Conclusion Asterone can inhibit the occurrence of autophagy in Beas-2B inflammatory cells, and the mechanism may be related to activation of mTOR signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the in vitro and in vivo function of anti-human bladder tumor human-mouse chimeric antibody ch-BDI and its future clinical application.
METHODSWith ch-BDI in high-expression cell-line medium, affinity chromatography was used for the purification. Labeled with (99m)Tc through reduction method, its immunoreactive fraction and association constant were measured. The constant was injected into nude mice with xenografted human bladder tumor. The biodistribution of the labeled ch-BDI was studied with radioimmunoimaging.
RESULTSch-BDI showed desirable immunoreactive fraction (76%) and association constant (3.56 x 10(9) M(-1)) in vitro and a terrific specific targeting effect in vivo.
CONCLUSIONch-BDI has fairly good function against human bladder tumor both in vitro and in vivo, and is promising in clinical use.
