1.Distinguished diagnosis of the benign and malgnant nodule in the thyroid by throid angiography
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(9, 10):65-65
It is difficult to distinguish the benign and malignant nodule in the thyroid. Basing on the principle that the organs with the cancer have much vascular than these with benign nodules, the thyroid angiography was implemented to distinguished diagnose the benign and malignant nodules in the thyroid.

2.Rapid diagnosis of the thyroid function by the radio angiography
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;233(2):67-67
The thyroid function was evaluated by the radio angiography. This method involved the use of intravenous Tc- 99 m gamma camera with the image display of 1 picture/ second or 2 pictures/second has been setup before. The picture and the duration of the first radioactive transfer into the carotid and duration of radioactive transfer from carotid to the thyroid were monitored to evaluate the thyroid function.

3.The primarily survey on the radioactive dose in the X-ray Department and patients with thyroid cancer treated by I-131 in the Nuclear medicine Department of Cho Ray hospital.
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1988;221(2):101-105
A study aims to evaluate the radioactive safe level in health staffs during exposure with radioactive resources, patients during tests or treatement, the radioactive contamination level in the environment and the radiactivity of patient after discharge. This study determinated the dosage in the X-ray unit, the exposured radiative dose in cardiologist’s thyroid, the exposured dose in patients during X-ray tests and the radioactive activity of patient with thyroid cancer treated in the nuclear medicine department.

4.Role of trendelenburg 300 test for diagnosing the hypovolemic status in cardiac surgery.

Journal of Medical Research 2007;52(5):7-11
Background:Hypovolemia is a common cause of hypotension and low cardiac index (CI) in cardiac surgery but no hemodynamic parameters reflect this status well. The accurate diagnosis of hypovolemia is important because the wrong treatment will cause ineffectiveness and bad consequences such as severe heart failure, pulmonary edema, ... Objectives: To evaluate the performance of diagnostic characteristics of the trendelenburg 300 test for hypovolemia in cardiac surgery. Subjects and method: The prospective, cross \ufffd?sectional and randomized controlled trial (RCT) study was conducted on 30 patients (18 males, 12 females and average age 47,17 \xb1 13,93) undergoing valvular repair/replacement or coronary revascularization. The Swan \ufffd?Ganz catheters were placed in 20 patients and PiCCO catheters in 10 patients. Trendelenburg 300 test is considered positive if blood pressure (BP), central venous pressure (CVP), CI and intrathoracic blood volume (ITBV) increase. Results: The hypovolemic status in cardiac surgical patients is diagnosed if BP and/or CI increase in trendelenburg 300 position (Se 87.5% and 65.63%; Sp 100% and 75%, area under ROC 0.83 and 0.81, respectively). Conclusion: The increases in BP and CI responding to trendelenburg 300 position are good indicators of hypovolemia in cardiac surgery.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2007;17(3):16-21
Background: \r\n', u'In the antituberculosis chemotherapy, shortening treatment course, and applying new high effective methods are top prioritized. Of which, the immunotherapy with M vaccea an environmental saprophyte, combined with the antituberculosis medicines all over the world has been applied since 1985, aimed to enhance the host immune responses.\r\n', u'Objectives:\r\n', u'To evaluate the results after 6 months of shortened course anittuberculosis chemotherapy by combining the immunotherapy withM vaccae.\r\n', u'Subjects and method: \r\n', u'233 newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients with AFB smear (+) selected from Centers for Tuberculosis Control in some districts of Ha Tay and Ha Noi. They are 15 above, and not the pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetes, HIV infections, and hepatitis B (Unnecessary) \r\n', u'Dividing randomly into 2 groups, group A was in treatment of the standard 8 month chemotherapy regimen, and group B was treated in a shortned 6 month chemotherapy regimen in combination with immunotherapy by using M. vaccae vaccine. \r\n', u'Results:\r\n', u'The rates of AFB (-) sputum of group B were 98,2% and 100% respectively, the rates of the group A were 97,4% and 99% respectively after 2 and 6 months of treatment. There are 88.5% and 100% for group B, 85.6% and 98.8% for group A at the same time to achieve a negative sputum culture for M. tuberculosis. IgM responses against M. tuberculosis sonicated antigen before and after the follow-up time in Group A are not changed, whereas this level of the immunotherapy group had reduced significantly at the 6th moth (P<0.05). There is no responses in IgC to M. tuberculosis of both groups during the same follow-up period. The mean weight of patients in group B was higher than that of group A after 2 and 6 months of treatment.\r\n', u'Conclusion:\r\n', u'M. vaccae vaccine brings good benefits when be combined with the chemo-immunotherapy for newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients with AFB smear (+). The negative sputum indicators and clinic improvements in the chemo- immunotherapy group of treatment are better than that of chemotherapy only. This study created more effective method for treating tuberculosis infection.\r\n', u'
