Objective To probe into the kinetics of gallstone formation. Methods Fifty seven rabbits were divided into five groups: (1) normal control with standard fodder, (2)1 2% cholesterol was added into the fodder,(3)1 2% cholesterol plus indomethacin in the fodder,(4)1 2% cholesterol plus erythromycin,(5) 1 2% cholesterol plus Dong Li San, a Chinese herb compound. All animals were feed four weeks before measurement. Results Gallstone developed in 0 out of 13 in group 1, in 12 out of 14 rabbits in group 2, in 4 out of 10 rabbits in group 3, in 0 out of 10 in group 4, and in 2 out of 10 in group 5. Compared with that in group 1 rabbits in group 2 had higher level of cholesterol and mucin in bile, much higher common bile duct pressure and cystic duct resistance, much lower gallbladder emptying rate ( P

Objective To investigate the degree of pain, pain control and influencing factors of patients with silicone drainage tube after endoscopic sinus surgery, so as to provide the basis for the management of pain and comfort nursing. Methods From March to August in 2016, 102 patients undergone endoscopic sinus surgery were selected as the research objects. They were treated with silicone drainage tube within 48 h after operation. The patient's pain status and its influencing factors were assessed by the Brief Pain Scale (BPI) at 24 h and 48 h after operation. Results In 24-48 h after surgery, the most degree of pain, the lightest degree of pain, the average degree of pain, the exist degree and the overall degree of pain were significantly reduced than those in 24 h after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant (t=3.446, 4.790, 5.413, 4.758, 5.374;P<0.05); In 24-48 h after the surgery, the pain impact on daily life, mood, work, sleep and overall effects were significantly reduced than those in 24 h after the surgery, and the differences were statistically significant (t=2.729, 2.912, 3.260, 2.080, 2.702; P <0.05); 24-48 h after operation, the overall pain state of patients with patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) (2.15±1.69) was significantly lower than that patients who did not receive the PCA (3.26±1.94), and the difference was statistically significant (t=2.871, P=0.005). Conclusions The pain nursing of the patients with silicone tube should not be neglected, especially in 24 h after surgery nurses should strengthen the assessment and management of pain, and pay attention to the impact of pain; For pain control, we should not use single control mode, but should focus on exploring various ways to control pain.

Heracleum candicans is extensively utilized for its abundant medicinal components, which are applied in various treatments, including insecticides, hemostatic agents, dispersing wind, relieving cough, and alleviating rheumatic pain. This paper reviewed the various chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Heracleum candicans. It aims to provide new insights for its promotion and application,as well as to provide a basis for establishing quality standards for Heracleum candicans.

We conducted a prospective study to assess the non-inferiority of adjuvant chemotherapy alone versus adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) as an alternative strategy for patients with early-stage (FIGO 2009 stage IB-IIA) cervical cancer having risk factors after surgery. The condition was assessed in terms of prognosis, adverse effects, and quality of life. This randomized trial involved nine centers across China. Eligible patients were randomized to receive adjuvant chemotherapy or CCRT after surgery. The primary end-point was progression-free survival (PFS). From December 2012 to December 2014, 337 patients were subjected to randomization. Final analysis included 329 patients, including 165 in the adjuvant chemotherapy group and 164 in the adjuvant CCRT group. The median follow-up was 72.1 months. The three-year PFS rates were both 91.9%, and the five-year OS was 90.6% versus 90.0% in adjuvant chemotherapy and CCRT groups, respectively. No significant differences were observed in the PFS or OS between groups. The adjusted HR for PFS was 0.854 (95% confidence interval 0.415-1.757; P = 0.667) favoring adjuvant chemotherapy, excluding the predefined non-inferiority boundary of 1.9. The chemotherapy group showed a tendency toward good quality of life. In comparison with post-operative adjuvant CCRT, adjuvant chemotherapy treatment showed non-inferior efficacy in patients with early-stage cervical cancer having pathological risk factors. Adjuvant chemotherapy alone is a favorable alternative post-operative treatment.
