Purpose To explore the findings and diagnostic values of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and diffusion weighted image (DWI) of the portal venous tumor thrombus (PVTT) caused by hepatic carcinoma.Materials and Methods Thirty-one patients with hepatic carcinoma (43 lesions) with 63 PVTT in the main branches and trunks diagnosed by clinical and MRI were enrolled. All patients underwent conventional MRI (cMRI) imaging, DWI and ADC imaging, the features of cMRI, DWI and ADC were observed, the relevance of ADC values between the hepatic carcinoma lesion and PVTT were analyzed.Results Among the total 43 lesions, DWI image showed low signal, iso-signal and high signal in 1, 4 and 38 lesions, respectively; and ADC image showed low signal, iso-signal and high signal in 36, 5 and 2 lesions, respectively. In the total 63 PVTT, DWI showed low signal, iso-signal and high signal in 4, 7 and 52 lesions, respectively;while their ADC images showed low signal, iso-signal and high signal in 54, 6 and 3 branches, respectively. There was good consistency for the results of two observers on the findings of ADC of tumor lesions (Kappa=0.8334,P<0.05), and a moderate consistency on that of PVTT (Kappa=0.5215,P<0.05). The average ADC value of tumor lesion and PVTT was (1.127±0.268)×10-3 mm2/s and (1.021±0.363)×10-3 mm2/s, respectively; there was a correlation of the mean values of ADC between tumor lesion and PVTT (r=0.246,P<0.05). Conclusion The features such as low signal and low value on ADC image and high signal on DWI obtain a certain clinical application value for qualitative diagnoses of PVTT.

Objective To investigate and evaluate the method of PCR amplification blocking associated with fluorescent probe for the detection of pre-C region of HBV G1896A gene mutation.Methods The primers were designed based on the mutation of HBV DNA 1896 locus.The 3′end of primers was at 1896 site,and it was complemented with the base sequence of mutation template of 1896 site.The mismatching bases were separately introduced into the second and the third base of the primer by inverse counting from the 3′end for increasing the specificity of reaction.Results The PCR amplification for wild plasmid with the mutant primer showed an effectively blocking,but not showed blocking for the mutant plasmid (G1896A).The sensitivity of detection for the mutant plasmid was 5?103 copies/ml.Ninety-five cases of HBV-positive serum was selected randomly and amplified with the mutant primer,and 8 cases were positive HBV G1896A gene mutant(mutant rate of 8.4%).Conclusion The amplification blocking associated with fluorescent probe for the detection of HBV G1896A gene mutation is a effective,convenient method for the detection of clinical samples.

Objective To investigate thc cvent-based prospective memory (EBPM)and time-based prospective memory(TBPM)in the inpatients with abstinent alcohol dependence and the relationships between prospective memory and symptoms.Methods 32 male patients with alcohol dependence and 30 normal controls matched by age,education,HAMD and HAMA were assessed with a neuropsychological battery of tests including EBPM and TBPM tasks.Results A statistically significant in EBPM was observed between patients with alcohol dependence and normal controls (3.91 ± 0.69 vs.4.47 ± 0.63,t =-3.348,P ＜ 0.0 1) and the same result in TBPM (3.28 ±0.77 vs.4.20 ±0.66,t=-5.032,P＜0.01).The positively correlation was showed between the duration of abstinence and EBPM (r =0.444,P ＜ 0.05),as well as TBPM (r =O.423,P ＜ 0.05) in the patients.Conclusion The results suggest abstinent alcohol dependence patients impairs both EBPM and TBPM.PM shows correlated with duration of abstinence moderately in the patients.

A new method was established for the direct, rapid and quantitative analysis of pesticide residues, dimethoate chlorothalonil and malathion by low temperature plasma ( LTP) ionization miniature ion trap mass spectrometer. The LTP ionization probe and sample inlet of ion trap mass spectrometry were enclosed in a metal cavity. With non-contact heating, the samples placed on the sample platform were desorbed into gaseous phase and ionized by LTP ionization probe. The results showed that closed ionization had an edge over the opened ionization. The quantitative analysis of 3 pesticides within the range of 0. 5-10 mg/L was realized by optimizing heating time and flow rate of air, and the relative standard deviations of signal intensity is less than 11%. LODs of pesticide, which were obtained within 5 s, were as low as several hundred pictograms. The results showed that the method could be used for the analysis of pesticide residue on green and organic fruits or vegetables.

ObjectiveTo investigate the event-based prospective memory (EBPM)and time-based prospective memory( TBPM )in late-onset depressive patients and to explore the relationships between prospective memory and depressive symptoms.Methods 32 late-onset depressive patients and 30 normal controls matched in age,gender and education were assessed with a neuropsychological battery of tests including EBPM and TBPM tasks.The patients were also assessed with Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD).ResultsA statistically significant in EBPM was observed between patients with late-onset depression and normal controls (2.31 ± 1.06 vs 3.07± 0.87,t =- 3.052,P ＜ 0.01) and the same result in TBPM (2.03 ± 0.93 vs 2.67 ± 0.92,t =- 2.695,P ＜0.01 ).The negatively correlate was showed between the total scores of HAMD and EBPM ( r =- 0.436,P =0.013 ),TBPM ( r =- 0.467,P =0.007 ) in the patients.ConclusionThe results suggest late-onset depressive patients impair both EBPM and TBPM.Prospective memory shows correlation with depressive symptoms in the patients.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the origin and the recombinant model of H7N9 virus prevailing in China by sequence analysis.

METHODSThe sequences of H7N9 virus were collected and analyzed with the software BLAST and MEGA 5.0. The phylogenetic trees were constructed after multiple sequences alignment. The homologous sequences of H7N9 segments were determined and the model was inferred according to the origin of H7N9 segments.

RESULTSThe most relevant sequences of HA, NA, NS and PB2 segments were located at one branch of the phylogenetic tree, while the closest relevant sequences of PB1, PA, NP and MP contained two H9N2 virus origins. According to the analysis of sequence origin, H7N9 viruses might be divided into 5 genotypes: namely A, B, A/Shanghai/1/2013-H7N9, A/Pigeon/Shanghai/S1069-H7N9 and A/Zhejiang/HZ1/2013-H7N9, and the genotype A consisted of A1 and A2 subtypes.

CONCLUSIONThe prevailing H7N9 virus might be derived from 5 different viruses after 4 times of recombination, which resulted in the two major types of A and B. The subtypes of A1 and A2 were two different derivatives from one reassortant. The A/Pigeon/Shanghai/S1069-H7N9 strain might be the recombinant of type A H7N9 virus with a local H9N2 virus during the H7N9 epidemics. The A/Zhejiang/HZ1/2013-H7N9 strain could be the re-arrangement of subtype A2 with type B H7N9 virus.

BACKGROUNDS: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of deaths nationwide. However, little is understood about its temporal trend and corresponding influence on longevity improvements. We aimed to describe the updated tendency in CVD mortality and to quantify its impact on life expectancy (LE) increase in China. METHODS: All-cause mortality rates were calculated with population sizes from the National Bureau of Statistics and death counts from the National Health Commission. We estimated CVD mortality rates by allocating age- and sex-based mortality envelopes to each CVD subtype based on its proportion derived from the Disease Surveillance Points system. The probability of CVD premature deaths and LE were calculated with life tables and we adopted Arriaga's method to quantitate age- and cause-specific contributions to LE gains. RESULTS: During 2013 to 2018, the age-standardized mortality rate of CVD decreased from 289.69 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 289.03, 290.35)/100,000 to 272.37 (95%CI: 271.81, 272.94)/100,000, along with a decline in probability of CVD premature deaths from 9.05% (95%CI: 9.02%, 9.09%) to 8.13% (95%CI: 8.10%, 8.16%). The gap in CVD mortality across sexes expanded with more remarkable declines in females, especially for those aged 15 to 64 years. Among major subtypes, the probability of premature deaths from hemorrhage stroke declined fastest, while improvements of ischemic stroke and ischemic heart disease were limited, and there was an increase in stroke sequelae. LE in China reached 77.04 (95%CI: 76.96, 77.12) years in 2018 with an increase of 1.38 years from 2013. Of the total LE gains, 21.15% (0.29 years) were attributed to reductions of CVD mortality in the overall population, mostly driven by those aged >65 years. CONCLUSIONS The general process in reducing CVD mortality has contributed to longevity improvements in China. More attention should be paid to prevention and control of atherosclerotic CVD and stroke sequelae, especially for the elderly. Working-age males also deserve additional attention due to inadequate improvements.
