Aim To establish a LC-MS/MS method to measure the concentration of ginsenoside Rg1 in intrac-erebral dialysate and compare the probe recovery in vitro and in vivo. Methods The assay was conducted with a ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18(2. 1 mm × 50 mm, 1. 7 μm) . The mobile phase consisted of methanol and ultrapure water and it was detected by gradient elution. The flow rate was 0. 4 mL·min-1 . Specificity, linear range, precision and accuracy, stability were evaluated to investigate the reliability of the method. The recov-ery of ginsenoside Rg1 in probe in vitro and in vivo was compared. Results The retention time of ginsenoside Rg1 was 1. 91 min, the linear range was 0. 1 ~50 μg · L-1 , intra-day and inter-day precisions were less than 15%. The recovery of ginsenoside Rg1 was (4. 05 ± 0. 28)% in vitro and(26. 96 ± 4. 45)% in vi-vo. Conclusion The LC-MS/MS method is accurate, sensitive, and reproducible for quantitative determina-tion of ginsenoside Rg1 in microdialysate. The probe recovery of ginsenoside Rg1 in vivo is higher than in vitro, and both are stable in different concentrations.

Objective To study the effect of background music on spatial long-term learning and memory in rats. Methods Morris' water maze was used to examine the mean latencies and strategies of the rats to the target while playing rock music(RM) and light music(LM).The long-term memory was tested on day 7 after the training sessions. Results During Morris' water maze training,no significant difference was found in the mean latencies and the strategies to the target between RM and LM groups as well as LM and the normal control(NC) groups. But the mean latency in RM group was significantly longer than that in the NC group. The average percentage of straight strategy in RM group was significantly smaller than that in the NC group. The examination of memories, when tested on day 7 after the end of training, indicated that the mean latencies and the strategies to the target as well as the time taken to cross the target in the three groups were not significantly different. Conclusion Background rock music can influence the spatial learning ability, but not the spatial long-term memory. On the other hand, there is no effect in the spatial long-term learning and memory when light background music is played.

Objective To construct the molecular transmission networks of HIV-1 CRF01 AE strains circulating in China and to analyze their characteristics. Methods Sequences of the pol genes of Chinese CRF01 AE strains were downloaded from Los Alamos database and the related demographic informa-tion was checked. Transmission networks were created by four steps, including phylogenetic tree construc-tion,transmission cluster extraction, minimum genetic distance identification and network visualization. Chi-square test was performed to analyze the differences in the distribution of different populations in the networks and the differences in the distribution of subjects with different degrees among different sub-populations. De-scriptive analysis was used to investigate the transmission links between sub-populations and various regions. Results The 2 419 sequences constituted 250 separate networks including 847 nodes and 610 edges. The number of subjects covered by different networks ranged from 2 to 25. Subjects with degree ≥2 represented only 26. 4%(224 / 847)of network-individuals,but were connected with 66. 5%(563 / 847)of all network-individuals. There were 37. 6%(669 / 1 781)of men who have sex with men(MSM),28. 4%(102 / 359) of heterosexual men,16. 1%(10 / 62)of intravenous drug users(IDUs)and 30. 4%(66 / 217)of hetero-sexual women involved in the networks(χ2 =23. 774,P﹤0. 001). The percentage of subjects with degree ≥2 was high in MSM(10. 8% ,193 / 1 781)compared to that in heterosexual men(5. 6% ,20 / 359)(P =0. 002)and heterosexual women(4. 6% ,10 / 217)(P=0. 004). Of the 669 MSM in the networks,95. 5%(639 / 669)linked to other MSM and only 2. 4% (16 / 669)linked to heterosexual women. However, 15. 1%(10 / 66)of the heterosexual women in the networks linked to MSM. Of the heterosexual men in the networks,35. 3%(36 / 102)linked to heterosexual women,9. 8%(10 / 102)linked to MSM. Of the sub-jects in the networks,20. 9%(177 / 847)linked to other regions' individuals. Conclusion The super-spreaders played an important role in the molecular transmission networks of HIV-1 CRF01 AE strains even though they were in a minority. The transmission of HIV-1 CRF01 AE strains between sub-populations and various regions was complicated and active.
9.Ways to improve measurement accuracy of blood glucose sensing by mid-infrared spectroscopy.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;23(3):688-691
Mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy is applicable to blood glucose sensing without using any reagent, however, due to a result of inadequate accuracy, till now this method has not been used in clinical detection. The principle and key technologies of blood glucose sensing by MIR spectroscopy are presented in this paper. Along with our experimental results, the paper analyzes ways to enhance measurement accuracy and prediction accuracy by the following four methods: selection of optimized spectral region; application of spectra data processing method; elimination of the interference with other components in the blood, and promotion in system hardware. According to these four improving methods, we designed four experiments, i.e., strict determination of the region where glucose concentration changes most sensitively in MIR, application of genetic algorithm for wavelength selection, normalization of spectra for the purpose of enhancing measuring reproduction, and utilization of CO2 laser as light source. The results show that the measurement accuracy of blood glucose concentration is enhanced almost to a clinical detection level.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2020;41(1):55-57
Objective:
To understand the status of dietary behaviors among urban primary school children, to explore the relationship with the family environment in order to provide a basis for adopting the intervention measures and reducing the occurrence of child dietary behavior problems.
Methods:
A questionnaire survey was conducted among 507 children of grade 5 randomized selected through dustering method from 4 in primary schools in Haidian district,as well as their parents.
Results:
About 80.3% of the surveyed children reported the rate of frequency consumptions of vegetables 6-7 days per week. The frequency of consumption of fruits was lower than that of vegetables(67.8%). The frequency of consumption of meat, eggs, milk and beans was lower(the rate of 6-7 days per week was 57.5%,45.3%,60.0%,17.3%, respectively), and the number of children who did not eat beans was the highest(9.9%). The multiple linear regression revealed that parents’ dietary behaviors(β=0.21), parents’ restrictions on snacks(β=0.21), family cohesion(β=0.15), and family monthly income(β=0.13) were promoting factors for children’s good dietary behaviors. The stock of snacks was a risk factor for children’s good dietary behaviors (β=-0.11)(P<0.05).
Conclusion
Dietary behavior of primary school children in urban area was influenced by family environment factors, especially dietary environment in family. Family environment factors could promote children’s dietary behaviors through parental support and modelling. Giving the parents intervention on nutrition and healthy diet, normalizing the family dietary environment are conducive to children’s dietary behaviors.
