Objective　To investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depression in epilepsy patients in rural areas,and to explore the influencing factors.Methods　The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were used to evaluate depression and anxiety of 388 epilepsy patients in rural areas From March 2020 to March 2021.Univariate analysis was performed on factors that may cause comorbid anxiety and depression of epilepsy patients,and logistic regression was used to analyze the possible influencing factors.Results　Among the 388 rural epilepsy patients,there were 198 (51.03%) patients comorbid with anxiety,159 (40.98%) comorbid with depression,and 130 (33.51%) comorbid with both anxiety and depression.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that patients，educational level,age of onset,seizure frequency,the cost of treatment and compliance were the influencing factors of anxiety.The seizure frequency,the cost of treatment and compliance of patients were the influencing factors of epilepsy comorbid depression.Conclusion　Epilepsy patients in rural areas have a higher prevalence of anxiety and depression.Low education level and age of onset between 21 and 30 years old are risk factors for comorbid anxiety in epilepsy patients.The seizure frequency,treatment cost and poor compliance are risk factors for comorbid anxiety and depression.Targeted interventions should be carried out for the epilepsy patients in rural areas.

Objective To investigate the clinical features,pathogenic distribution and drug susceptibility of patients with infective endocarditis (IE).Methods Clinical data of IE patients were collected,who were admitted to Capital Medical University Affiliated Beijing Anzhen Hospital from January 2012 to March 2015.Results Three hundred and three IE patients were enrolled with age of (43 ± 16)years old.Fever (85.5％)and cardiac murmur (62.4％)were the most common clinical presentations.Congenital heart diseases was the leading underlying diseases in IE patients.Non rheumatic valve diseases (13.5％) followed.Vegetations were found in 90.4％ (274/303) patients.Streptococcus which accounted for 44.2％ was the major pathogen of IE.Staphylococcus (28.9％) was the second common pathogen.Gramnegative bacteria were diversified in categories.Gram-positive cocci were consistently sensitive to vancomycin and linezolid.Conclusions Congenital heart disease is the main underlying disease related to IE.Streptococcus is still the primary pathogen.Gram-positive cocci keep good sensitivity to vancomycin and linezolid.

Objective To observe the effect of Chaihushugansan combined with fluoxetine on interleukin -6 ( IL-6 ) , interleukin -1β( IL-1β) , tumor necrosis factor ( TNF-α) in the treatment of patients with postpartum depression.Methods 83 patients from November 2013 to July 2015 in Jiaxing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital were randomly divided into 41 patients of observation group and 42 patients of control group.The control group were treated with fluoxetine treatment, the obsercation group received Chaihushugansan on the basis of control group.The Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA),IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and adverse reactions were followed up and recorded.Results The HAMD and HAMA score in observation group post-treatment were (8.31 ±2.05,9.03 ±2.08)points, which were lower than (13.96 ±2.16, 13.61 ±2.14) points in control group (P<0.05).The serum IL-6 and IL-1βlevels in observation group post-treatment were (6.59 ±3.20,5.01 ±2.83)pg/mL, which were lower than (10.64 ±3.86,9.31 ±3.42)pg/mL in control group (P<0.05).The serum TNF-αand hs-CRP levels in observation group post-treatment were ( 9.16 ±2.01 ) pg/mL, ( 3.62 ±1.06 ) mg/L, which were lower than ( 12.30 ±2.37 ) pg/mL, (5.29 ±1.14)mg/L in control group (P<0.05).The total adverse reaction rate in observation group was 7.32%, significantly lower than 23.81% in control group ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Chaihushugansan combined with fluoxetine has a good therapeutic effect in the treatment of postpartum depression, could significantly reduce the IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α levels, with fewer side effects, it is better than fluoxetine alone.

Objective: To evaluate the relationship between air pollutants and mortality of residents in Huairou District, Beijing, providing a basis for the formulation of air pollution control measures. Methods : The data of daily deaths, meteorological factors and air pollutants in Huairou District from 2014 to 2018 were collected from Beijing Disease Prevention Monitoring Information Integration and Analysis System, Huairou Meteorological Bureau and Environmental Monitoring Station. The generalized additive models were used to analyze the relationship between the average daily concentration of air pollutants and the daily deaths. Results: The medians of daily average concentrations of SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM10 and PM2.5 were 5.00 μg/m3, 24.00 μg/m3, 0.71 mg/m3, 77.27 μg/m3, 64.25 μg/m3 and 44.13 μg/m3, respectively. Except for O3, the daily average concentrations of SO2, NO2, CO, PM10 and PM2.5 showed decreasing trends from 2014 to 2018. An increase of 10 μg/m3 of NO2 resulted in an elevation of 1.69% ( 95%CI: 0.31%-3.08% ) , 3.31% ( 95%CI: 1.24%-5.42% ) and 3.31% ( 95%CI: 0.51%-6.19% ) for non-accidental death in the whole population, females and people under 65 years old, respectively, with a delay of 2 days (lag2). For every 10 μg/m3 increase in the daily average concentrations of CO and PM2.5, the risk of non-accidental death among people under 65 years old at lag2 increased by 0.08% ( 95%CI: 0.01%-0.14% ) and 0.88% ( 95%CI: 0.12%-1.64% ) , respectively. For every 10 μg/m3 increase in daily average concentration of O3, there was 0.69% ( 95%CI: 0.02%-1.36% ) increase in daily male non-accidental death risk at lag4. The results of the multi-pollutant model showed that after adjusting the effects of the other two air pollutants, NO2, CO and PM2.5 had no statistically significant effects on the daily non-accidental deaths of people under 65 years old at lag2 ( P>0.05 ) . Conclusion The ambient NO2, CO, O3 and PM2.5 pollution increase daily non-accidental deaths, which shows a lag effect．

Objective To investigate symptom characteristics and their their prevalence in terminally ill patients with ovarian carcinoma.Methods A retrospective study was carried out based on clinical data of 98 terminally ill patients with ovarian carcinoma who died in our hospital during January 1995 to December 2004.Fifteen most common symptoms were analyzed with a focus on the followings:symptom incidence,survival time after symptom occurrence,regularity of symptom cluster,and common causes of death.Fifteen symptoms were:pain,cachexia,pleural effusion and ascites,dyspnea,fever,intestinal obstruction,renal failure,bone marrow depression,lung infection,hemorrhage,deep venous thrombosis (DVT),intestinal or pancreatic fistula,mycotic infection,jaundice and emergency conditions.Results (1)The most prevalent symptom was pleural effusion and ascites(63%),followed by pain(60%), cachexia(59%),dyspnea(52%)and intestinal obstruction(49 %).(2)The symptom which lasted longest survival time was mycotic infection(77 days),followed by intestinal or pancreatic fistula(75 days), intestinal obstruction(67 days),pain(60 days)and eachexia(60 days).Symptoms such as bone marrow depression,renal failure,dyspnea and emergency conditions were comparatively critical associated with shorter survival times(14,13,12,7 days,respectively).(3)Terminal symptoms occurred typically in clusters,with 4.9?1.5 symptoms per case.Of 98 cases,84 cases(86%)had 4 or more symptoms,with the median survival time of 63 days from the last day of anti-cancer therapy,and a slow death process.The remaining 14 cases(14%)with 3 or fewer symptoms survived only 25 days,of which 10 cases(71%)died of emergency diseases.The survival time for two groups was significantly different(P

Objective To characterize hypersensitivity reactions to chemotherapy with carboplatin in patients with gynecologic malignancies and serve use of carboplatin.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical features,management,or outcome of carboplatin-related hypersensitivity reactions in 13 patients with gynecologic malignancies from 1983 to 2008.Results Twenty times hypersensitivity reactions happened in thirteen women with carboplatin hypersensitivity reactions.The earliest one was at the 5th cycle,the last one was at the 28th cycle;the average cycle was 11.6.The accumulative dosage of carboplatin was 1 900-11 400 mg.The average dose was 4840 mg,2500-7200 mg were the main dose range.More than 5 cycles and (or) more than 2500-7200 mg of carboplatin administration significantly increased the incidence of hypersensitivity reactions in the twelve patients.Beactions were generally occurred at the first 5-10 minutes during intravenous infusion.The average time was 7.6 minutes.Symptoms included mild-to-moderate reactions and severe reactions.Thirteen patients experienced earboplatin hypersensitivity.Two out of 13 cases exhibited severe hypersensitivity reaction at the first time.The first hypersensitivity reactions was mild-to-moderate in 11 cases.When retreated with carboplatin,4 exhibited no more reactions,5 exhibited mild-to-moderate hypersensitiviry reactions,2 exhibited severe reactions.Mildto-moderate reactions were resolved by temporary interruption of carboplatin infusion,and (or) using steroid,while severe hypersensitivity reactions were resolved by more medicines.Conclusions The hypersensitivity reactions in the patients receiving carboplatin are increased after multiple doses of the agent.The possible of retreat with the carboplatin for the mild-to-moderate reactions may be considered.Hypersensitivity reactions should be treated actively.The following chemotherapy should be planed individually.The primary chemotherapy protocol for the patients with severe hypersensitivity reactions should not be reconsidered.

Objective To explore the quality of life and the related factors in adult epilepsy patients in rural areas of Gansu province. Methods The Quality of Life in the Epilepsy-31 Inventory Chinese version (QOLIE-31) were used to evaluate the quality of life in 154 epilepsy patients and 149 healthy controls. The relationship of demographic variables (gender, age, marital status, profession and education, etc.) and clinical variables (age of onset, duration, type of seizures, seizure frequency and medication, etc.) with the quality of life were analyzed in patients. Results Compared with the con?trol group, the QOLIE-31 score was significantly lower in epileptic group [(47.63±7.74) vs. (52.28±5.75), P<0.05]. There was no significant difference in the patients' QOLIE-31 score between difference ages, genders, marital status, occupa?tions, and educations (P>0.05). The differences of patients' QOLIE-31 score were significantly different between differ?ent incomes, medication types of epilepsy (P<0.05). The patient's family income (β=3.115, P=0.002) and the type of medi?cation (β=3.261, P=0.027) were factors affecting their quality of life. Conclusion The quality of life in adult patients with epilepsy is lower. Economic status of family and the number of drug type significantly affects the quality of life in patients. Reasonable drug choice to treat seizure and reduce the economic burden of the family are effective measures to improve the quality of life of patients with epilepsy.

Investigation was undertaken for the purpose of examining any possible correlation between flocculence of a self-flocculating fusant of Schizosaccharomyces pombe mutant and Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant (called fusant SPSC for short) and the tolerance of this strain to ethanol. When exposed to 18% (V/V) ethanol for 7 h at 30 degrees C, 52%, 37% and 9% of viability levels remained for the cells of fusant SPSC and its two parental strains, Sch. pombe mutant and S. cerevisiae mutant respectively. Analysis of phospholipid fatty acid composition of plasma membrane showed that the content of palmitic acid of each flocculating yeast (fusant SPSC or Sch. pombe mutant) was around 2-fold higher than that of free S. cerevisiae mutant, with remarkably lower contents of palmitoleic and oleic acids than the latter. When 0.1 mol/L sodium citrate was initially included in the medium in which cells of each flocculating yeast were grown, free cells rather than aggregates were finally obtained. Furthermore, the content of palmitic acid in the phospholipid fatty acid composition of the plasma membranes of the free cells of each flocculating yeast was found to decrease significantly, with a marked increase in the contents of palmitoleic and oleic acids. As a result, the characteristics of the phospholipid fatty acid composition of the plasma membranes of the free cells of each flocculating yeast were similar to those of S. cerevisiae mutant. Meanwhile, the disappearance of flocculence of each flocculating yeast caused by the action of sodium citrate brought about a steeply decreased tolerance of the free cells to ethanol, thus being equivalent to that of S. cerevisiae mutant. These data suggest that the stronger ethanol tolerance of each flocculating yeast is related to the higher content of palmitic acid in the phospholipid fatty acid composition of the plasma membranes. Thus, the enhancement by flocculence on the tolerance of yeast cells to ethanol as well as its mechanism are first reported in this work.

Although alterations in fatty acid composition of phospholipids in plasma membranes had no effect on activities of plasma membrane ATPases of a self-flocculating fusant of Schizosaccharomyces pombe and Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells grown in the absence of ethanol (basal enzymes), they significantly affected the susceptibilities of the enzymes to in vivo activation induced by ethanol: the maximal values for the activated enzymes in cells pregrown with 0.6 mmol/L palmitic, linoleic or linolenic acid respectively were 3.6, 1.5 and 1.2-fold higher than their respective basal levels (in cells grown without ethanol), whereas the corresponding value for cells pregrown in the absence of fatty acid was 2.3-fold, with the concentrations of ethanol for the above maximal in vivo activation of enzymes being 7%, 6%, 6% and 7% (V/V) respectively. The Km values for ATP, the pH profiles, and the sensitivities to orthovanadate of the basal and the activated plasma membrane ATPases were essentially identical; however, the v(max) values of activated enzymes increased significantly. It was found that the characteristics of phospholipid fatty acid composition of plasma membrane leading to the enhanced ethanol tolerance of this strain, were also efficacious to increase the percentage of activation of plasma membrane ATPase per unit of ethanol. These data support a close correlation between the ethanol tolerance of this strain and the sensitivity of its plasma membrane ATPase to the in vivo ethanol-induced activation.

Ca2+ at 1.64 mmol/L markedly increased ethanol tolerance of a self-flocculating fusant of Schizosaccharomyces pombe and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. After 9 h of exposure to 20% (V/V) ethanol at 30 degrees C , no viability remained for the control whereas 50.0% remained for the cells both grown and incubated with ethanol in Ca2+ -added medium. Furthermore, when subjected to 15% (V/V) ethanol at 30 degrees C, the equilibrium nucleotide concentration and plasma membrane permeability coefficient (P' ) of the cells both grown and incubated with ethanol in Ca2+ -added medium accounted for only 50.0% and 29.3% those of the control respectively, indicating that adding Ca2+ can markedly reduce plasma membrane permeability of yeast cells under ethanol stress as compared with the control. Meanwhile, high viability levels acquired by the addition of Ca2+ exactly corresponded to the striking decreases in extracellular nucleotide concentration and P' achieved with identical approach. Therefore, the enhancing effect of Ca2+ on ethanol tolerance of this strain is closely related to its ability to decrease plasma membrane permeability of yeast cells subjected to ethanol stress.
