Objective To explore the risk factors of hospital infection for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage ( HIGH). Methods 408 patients from Department of Neurology whose length of stay equaled or exceeded 72 hours and who fitted in with the criterion for the diagnosis of hospital infection were chosen as the HICH infection group while HICH patients without hospital served as the control group. The risk factors for HICH were studied by means of both single factor analysis and multifactor analysis. Results Of more than 30 possible risk factors that were studied by means of single factors analysis, more than 20 manifested marked difference (P < 0.05). Uncondition Logistic regression analysis of the more than 20 variables indicated that rise of inhalation of food resulting from indwelling, stomach tube, kinds of antibiotics used, spray inhalation and fasting blood-glucose,accidental were the risk factors of HICH infection. Conclusion HICH infection results from the synergetic action of various factors and hospital infection could be controlled and reduced by strengthening supervision.

Objective: To investigate the expression of PDCD5 in tissues of normal cervix, CIN Ⅰ-Ⅲ,cervical cancer and explore the relationship between PDCD5 and cervical cancer. Methods: After we defined the most fitful condition, tissues from 18 cases of normal cervix, 19 of CIN Ⅰ, 18 of CIN Ⅱ, 20 of CIN Ⅲ and 18 of cervical cancer were defined by indirect immunohistochemical technique. Positive expression rates and intensity of PDCD5 protein were investigated by observing under microscope and analyzing with computer imaging technique. The results were analyzed with one way anova. Results: The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that the percentage of strong positive cells in normal cervical tissue and CIN Ⅰ were significant higher than those of CIN Ⅱ, CIN Ⅲ and cervical cancer. On the whole of the condition of immunohistochemical staining, the expressions of PDCD5 were downregulated along the progression of cervical atypical epithelia, but that in CIN Ⅰ was upregulated. The ODs of normal cervix,CIN Ⅰ-Ⅲ,cervical cancer were 0.322,0.366,0.287,0.252,and 0.206 respectively. The intensity of each group showed obvious differences. Conclusion: We found that the expression of PDCD5 was upregulated in CIN Ⅰ and downregulated in CIN Ⅱ, CIN Ⅲ and cervical cancer. It suggests that PDCD5 is an important apoptosis regulating factor in the occurrence of cervical cancer.

Objective To observe the toxicity and adverse reaction of interleukin(IL) 2 gene modified allogenic gastric cancer cell line in far advanced gastric cancer patients. Methods A phase Ⅰ clinical trial was conducted for sixteen far advanced gastric cancer patients with IL 2 gene modified gastric cancer cell line. By gene recombinant technique, human IL 2 cDNA was transfected into human gastric cancer cell line MKN45 via retrovirus based vector. These cells were then inactivated by irradiation (100 Gy) and were cryopreserved for the vaccine. The immunization were administrated subcutaneously at the first, 8 th , 15 th , 29 th and 58 th day. The patients were divided into 4 dosage groups, which the dosage of the vaccine was administrated in each subsequent level. The toxicity and adverse reaction were evaluated by WHO criteria. Results Fifteen of the 16 patients completed the immunization. Side effects of treatment consisted of mild to moderate fever, redness and swelling at the site of injection, which were the most common symptoms. Only one patient abandoned after the third injection due to rapidly progressive disease. Other reactions including allergic shock, bone marrow depression and disturbance of hepatorenal function were not observed during the immunization. In some patients, the serum transferrin, humoral immune parameters such as IgG, IgA, IgM,IL 2 and cellular immune parameters such as CD + 3,CD + 4,CD + 8 had been improved after treatment. Conclusions This trial demonstrates the feasibility, safety and potential therapeutic effects of vaccination of gastric cancer patients with allogenic, gene modified gastric cancer cell line. The dosage of the vaccine recommended for phase Ⅱ clinical trail is 5?10 7 cells per time.

Objective:To investigate the effect of body mass index(BMI), waist circumference(WC) and waist hip ratio (WHR) on blood pressure, serum lipids, renal function, protein and lymphocyte. Methods:175 middle and elderly patients were measured. Results:Compared to normal weight cases, SBP and uric-acid were significantly higher in over-weight cases. Triglyceride, SBP and DBP were all significantly higher in obesity cases. When waist circumference was beyond 85 cm in women, triglyceride, lymphocyte and DBP were all significantly higher than those in normal weight women. When waist circumference was beyond 90 cm in men, triglyceride was significantly higher than that in normal weight men. Conclusion:When BMI increases, triglyceride and blood pressure will increase accordingly. When WC is higher than normal, triglyceride in male and female will be higher. Control of obesity, is helpful to prevent cardiovascular diseases.

Objective To determine the accuracy of multi-slice CT pneumocolon in the staging of colonic carcinomas. Methods Thirty-six patients, who were strongly suspected to have colonic disorders, underwent CT pneumocolon before and after intravenous injection of iodinated contrast agent. CTVE, MPR, SSD, and Raysum images were then obtained by using 4 different softwares in workstation (ADW3.1). 33 positive cases were staged preoperatively according to TNM standard. All cases were proved by surgical or colonoscopic histology. Sensitivity and accuracy of MSCT were determined for the detection of cancers, lymph nodes, and metastases. Results MSCT pneumocolon examinations demonstrated 32 lesions, missing one case. Sensitivity and positive accuracy value for T staging were 96.97% (32/33) and 87.88% (29/33), respectively; Sensitivity and positive accuracy value for lymph node involvement were 73.91% (17/23) and 69.57% (16/23), respectively. The density of metastatic lymph node was higher than that of normal one. Five cases in M stage were all diagnosed correctly. Conclusion MSCT pneumocolon is a better method of depicting the colorectal carcinoma. It allows for accurate staging of the colorectal carcinoma, especially detecting the invasion of adjacent tissues and distant metastasis. However the value for early T staging in colorectal carcinoma and minute metastasis of lymph nodes is limited. It is helpful to combine all the findings of lymph nodes, including the size, density, and location, to make a correct diagnosis.
