Objective To investigate the effects of crude extracted proteins from lesions of condyloma acuminata on immunophenotypes of dendritic cells. Methods Plastic-adherent mononuclear cells(MNCs)were isolated from umbilical cord blood or peripheral blood and cultured in media containing cytokines(GM-CSF,IL-4and LPS).The morphology and phenotypes of these cells were analyzed by flow cytometry and microscopy in12day's culture.Cells on the fourth day were incubated with crude extracts from lesions of condyloma acuminata, foreskin proteins, and PBS,respectively, followed by phenotypic analysis after9-12days' culture. Results Expression of antigens CD1a,CD80,CD86,MHC-I,MHC-II,CD14,CD54was detected after12days' cul-ture.It was shown that MNCs could be induced to differentiate to mature dendritic cells in our culture system. After incubation with crude extracts from lesions of condyloma acuminata for another9-12days,expression of CD86and HLA-DR was increased on dendritic cells. Conclusions Compared to foreskin and PBS pulsed dendritic cells, expression of CD86and HLA-DR is upregulated on dentritic cells after pulsing with condyloma acuminata lesion proteins. The data suggest that crude extracts from lesions of condyloma acuminata might enhance antigen-pre-senting capacity of dendritic cells and strengthen activation of T lymphocytes.

Objective To study the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms of MMP1 gene (-1607) and cyclosporine-induced gingival overgrowth ( CsA-GO ) . Methods Polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) were used to detect 42 cases of cyclosporine-induced gingival hyperplasia patients and 118 normal controls. MMP1 (-1607) 1G/2G gene polymorphism type were detected and analysised;Logistic regres-sion model was used to calculate the different genotypes and the risk of cyclosporine-induced gingival hyperplasia re-lationship. Results Cyclosporine-induced MMP1 (-1607) 3 genotype frequency distribution of gingival hyperplasiacase group had no significant difference (P=0.37) with the control group. Patients who carry MMP1 (-1607) 2G genotype occurred cyclosporine-induced gingival hyperplasia have 1.37 times risk than 1G genotype (95%CI=0.81-2.36, P=0.24), and 1G genotype and cyclosporine-inducedgingival hyperplasiaun related torisk. Conclusion MMP1 gene promoter region (-1607) 1G/2G single nucleotide polymorphism of cyclosporine -induced gingival hyperplasia may not a genetic susceptibility factor, patients who carry 2G genotype has an increased risk of CsA-GO.

The clinical characteristics of the pneumonia includes hyperthermia, cough and pectoralgia, etc with simultaneous mixed signs of inflammatory infiltration, consolidation, cavity/air sac and abscess in pulmonary CT scan, and these signs change rapidly. Respiratory failure and septic shock frequently occur in severe such patients, resulting in refractory management and relatively long therapeutic course. The timely diagnosis, use of sensitive antibiotics, respiratory and nutritional support, etc comprehensive effective measures can elevate the rescue success rate with severe hematogenous staphylococcus aureus pneumonia.
