Objective:To investigate the feasibility of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI)parameters in differentiating musculoskeletal tumors with different behaviours of pathological findings before therapy. Methods:A total of 34 subjects of musculoskeletal tumors were in-volved in this retrospective analysis.DCE-MRI was performed using a fat-saturated 3 D VIBE (volumetric interpolated breath-hold exam)imaging sequence with following parameters:FA,10 degree;TR/TE, 5.6/2.4 ms;slice thickness,4.0 mm with no intersection gap;field of view,310 mm ×213 mm;ma-trix,256 ×178;voxel size,1 .2 mm ×1 .2 mm ×4.0 mm;parallel imaging acceleration factor. The ac-tuation time for the DCE-MRI sequence was 255 s with a temporal resolution of 5 s and 40 image vo-lumes.Using pathological results as a gold standard, tumors were divided into benign, borderline and malignant tumors.Toft’s model was used for calculation of Ktrans (volume transfer constant),Ve (extra-vascular extracellular space distribute volume per unit tissue volume)and Kep(microvascular permeability reflux constant). Those parameters were compared between the lesions and the control tissues using paired t-tests.The one-way analysis of variance was used to assess the difference among benign,border-line and malignant tumors.P values <0.05 difference was statistically significant. Results:Based on the WHO Classification of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone(2012)criteria,34 patients were divided into three groups:1 1 for benign tumors,12 for borderline tumors, and 1 1 for malignancies.Compared with control tissues,Ktrans and Kepshowed no difference, but Ve was increased in benign tumors,Kep showed no diffe-rence,butKtransandVewereincreasedinborderlinetumors, Ktrans,KepandVewereincreasedin malignant tumors.Ktrans(P<0.001 )and Kep (P<0.01 )were significantly higher in malignant tumors than in benign and borderline tumors, but did not show any difference between benign tumors and border-line tumors.Ve was significantly higher in malignant tumors than in benign (P<0.05),but did not show any difference between malignant and borderline tumors, benign tumors and borderline tumors (P >0.05 ).Conclusion:DCE-MRI technique is useful to evaluate the pathological behaviour of musculoske-letal tumors. The quantitative analysis of DCE parameters in conjunction with conventional MR images can improve the accuracy of musculoskeletal tumor qualitative analysis.

Objective To explore the association between Q-1 and T1 locus polymorphism in ADAM33 gene and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Han population in northern Guizhou by detecting Q-1 and T1 locus polymorphism in ADAM33 gene in patients with COPD in the distribution of frequency ,provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of COPD. Methods Polymerase chain reaction and DNA sequencing tech-nology,electrophoresis separation method were applied to detect Q-1 and T1 locus polymorphism in ADAM33 gene. Results The genotype distribution of Q-1 and T1 locus in the case group and the control group of ADAM33 gene were in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium law and ADAM33 gene Q-1,T1 locus were C and T alleles. There was no significant difference in genotype and allele frequency distribution between the case group with control group, and COPD complicated with chronic respiratory failure(COPD)and hypoxemia(P > 0.05). T1(83 bp,112 bp)at a high probability of two heterozygous in the same samples(18/19),and is located in the encoding region. Conclusion No association was found between Q-1,T1 locus polymorphism in ADAM33 gene and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Han population in northern Guizhou.

Objective To analyze the CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) manifestations of the pelvic osteosarcoma. Methods The CT and MRI manifestations of 15 cases with pelvic osteosarcoma from January, 2013 to December, 2015 proved by histology were ret-rospectively analyzed. Results There were 10 males and 5 females in them. The median age was 27.0 years. Ilium was involved in 11 cases. A mixed lytic/sclerotic pattern of bone destruction was found in 11 cases, and the sclerotic type in 2 cases, the osteolytic type in 2 cases. Ra-dial periosteal reaction was found in 5 cases and immature bone formation in 8 cases. Soft tissue masses were seen in 13 cases. MRI showed enhancement in 15 cases and the CT showed no enhancement in 2 cases with sclerotic type. Conclusion The typical imaging manifestations of pelvic osteosarcomainclude mixed lytic/sclerotic appearance, radial periosteal reaction, soft tissue masses and immature bone formation.

Objective To investigate the effect of indoor coal PM2.5 on the airway inflammation and the pathological morphology alterations of lung tissue in asthmatic rats induced by ovalbumin(OVA). Methods Forty six?week?old male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups(Control,OVA,PM2.5,PM2.5+OVA). Normal saline,OVA(15μg/mL)and(or)PM2.5(2.5 mg/mL)were given to rats in the four groups through intratracheal instillation for four times (two weeks one time),respectively. Twenty?four hours after the last intratracheal instillation ,bronchoalveolar irrigation lavage fluid (BALF) was collected for determinations of serum interleukin 4(IL?4),interferon gamma (IFN?γ). The lung tissue was collected for HE staining and electron microscopy detection. Results HE staining showed less inflammatory cell infiltration was observed in the control group; In PM2.5 group and OVA group, there was medium quantity of inflammatory cell infiltration,In PM2.5+OVA group, severe inflammatory cell infiltration was observed. Electron microscopy showed no abnormal lung tissue in the control group, but organelles were gradually destroyed, endothelial cell edama, alveolar interval with a large number of fibersin were observed in PM2.5 group. The exfoliated cells, local typeⅡ cells with visible damage were found in OVA group. A large number of fibers were existed among the lung tissues and organelles were destroyed, thickness of basement membrane was non?uniform, and blood air barrier structure was not clear in PM2.5 + OVA group. Compared with PM2.5+OVA group, concentration of IL?4 in PM2.5,OVA and the control group was siganificantly different(P < 0.05). A negative correlation between IL?4 and IFN?γ was observed (r =-0.358,P < 0.05). Conclusion Indoor coal PM2.5 exacerbates the airway inflammatory cell infiltration and airway remodeling in OVA?induced asthmatic rats.

Objective To explore the correlations between image quality of prospective and retrospective electrocardiogram(ECG)-gated CT coronary angiogram and radiation dose in patients with different heart rates. Methods A total of 135 patients undergoing 256-slice spiral CT coronary angiography were enrolled in the study.Among them,66 cases received prospective ECG-gated scanning(prospective ECG-gated group)and further divided into two subgroups with heart rate≤80 beats/min(prospective ECG-gated+low heart rate subgroup,n=39)and>80 beats/min(prospective ECG-gated+high heart rate subgroup,n=27).The other 69 cases underwent retrospective ECG-gated scanning(retrospective ECG-gated group),including 45 cases with heart rate≤80 beats/min(retrospective ECG-gated+low heart rate subgroup)and 24 with heart rate>80 beats/min(retrospective ECG-gated+high heart rate subgroup). The baseline data, image quality[mean CT value, image noise,signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),subjective image quality score]and radiation dos[CT volume dose index(CTDIvol),dose length product(DLP),effective dose(ED)]were compared among 4 subgroups. The correlations of image quality with heart rate and radiation dose in prospective and retrospective ECG-gated groups were analyzed. Results The heart rates in prospective and retrospective ECG-gated+low heart rate subgroups were lower than those in prospective and retrospective ECG-gated+high heart rate subgroups(P<0.05).When comparing the mean CT value, image noise,SNR and subjective image quality score among 4 subgroups,no statistically significant differences were observed(P>0.05).The CTDIvol,DLP and ED in prospective ECG-gated+low heart rate subgroup were significantly lower than those in the other 3 subgroups(P<0.05),and the indicators in prospective ECG-gated+high heart rate subgroup were lower than those in retrospective ECG-gated group(including low and high heart rate subgroups)(P<0.05).Pearson correlation coefficient analysis revealed that the mean CT value, image noise,SNR,subjective image quality score had no significant correlation with heart rate,CTDIvol,DLP and ED in prospective and retrospective ECG-gated groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The subjective and objective image quality of 256-slice spiral CT coronary angiography is not correlated with radiation dose.Prospective ECG-gated scanning can reduce the radiation dose and ensure the image quality as compared with retrospective ECG-gated scanning. This holds true for eligible patients with high heart rate, and the former can effectively reduce radiation exposure. Therefore, prospective ECG-gated scanning is worthy to be promoted in clinic.
