The composition of volatile compounds of soils and that of soil bacterial metabolites were identified by using the SPME-GC/MS method. Results showed that some compounds, trimethylamine, 3-methyl-2-pentanoe, dimethyl disulfide, methyl pyrazine, 2,5-dimethyl-pyrazine, benzaldehyde, N,N-dimethyloctylamine and nonadecane, subsisted commonly in soils and soil bacterial metabolites with strong fungistatic activity. These compounds may be the key antifungal factors in soil fungistasis, especially soil volatile fungistasis. Otherwise, the method used in this study was a good tool for further study of soil volatle fungistasis.

Objective To investigate the effect of PBL combined with EBM applied in the teaching of fever of unknown origin. Methods PBL combined with EBM teaching was applied in fever of unknown origin course for 30 clinical medicine specialty(eight years) students of Tongji class of grade 2009(experiment group), while PBL teaching was applied in fever of unknown origin course for 30 clinical medicine specialty (eight years) students of Tongji class of grade 2008 (control group). After teaching, the theory examination for both basic knowledge and case analysis was organized for all students of both groups. At the same time the questionnaire survey was conducted to 30 students of grade 2009 to evaluate the teaching effect. The results were assessed by using SPSS 18.0 statistical software for the T-test of the experimental group and the control group.Inspection level was α=0.05. Results The theory test score of students in the experimental group was (93.5±3.2) point, signifi-cantly higher than that of the students in the control group(84.7±2.8). There was statistically signifi-cant difference between the scores of the two groups of students (P=0.00). Survey results showed 19 students ( 63 . 33%) thought that the development of PBL teaching combined with evidence-based medicine teaching had its necessity, and 16 students(53.33%) thought that the teaching method im-proved their clinical thinking ability of logical reasoning. Conclusion The concept of PBL combined with EBM has achieved significant resultsinthe teaching offever of unknown origin, and it is necessary to carry out this teaching mode in medical colleges with certain teaching strength.

Object To select the optimum extracting procedure for quercetin from bud of Sophora japonica L. Methods The optimum extracting procedure was selected with the content and extraction effeciency of quercetin from bud of S. japonica by orthogonal test design. Results The optimum extracting procedure was determined with 10 times of 0.05% sodium hydroxide decocting 20 min and 4 times, adjusting pH value to 6, hydrolyzing with 10 times of 4% sulfuric acid for 1 h after precipitated. Conclusion The optimum extracting procedure increased the content and extraction efficiency of quercetin from bud of S. japonica.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of extraction and non-extraction decompensation to bimaxillary orthognathic surgery in skeletal class III malocclusion and the effect on postoperative.

METHODSRecords of 36 completed surgical-orthodontic treatment skeletal class III malocclusion patients were obtained from School of Stomatology, China Medical University, 18 underwent maxillary premolar extraction, the other 18 underwent non-extraction. Their post-decompensation and postsurgery cephalometric radiographs were analyzed objectively, and their profile scissors-shadows in different groups were evaluated subjectively.

RESULTSThe cephalometric index of post-presurgical orthodontics showed that there were significant deviations between the extraction and non-extraction groups including U1-SN, Overjet and Cm-Sn-UL values (P<0.05). During surgery, mandible was retruded (8.66 +/- 1.42) mm in extraction group compared with (6.21 +/- 3.06) mm in non-extraction group (P<0.05). After surgery, the extraction group achieved more normal ANB, U1-SN, NA-PA values (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONMaxillary premolar extraction can make incisor decompensation more complete so that mandible can be retruded to more ideal position and concave face can be successfully corrected.

This review is outlined in terms of the advances in mechanism about microbial degradation of phenanthrene. The degradation pathways of phenanthrene by bacteria and fungus , including aerobic and anaerobic conditions, are discussed respectively. Furthermore, both the enzymes involved in the reactions and the gene clusters encoding for the enzymes are summarized. The application of gene probe is introduced briefly. Based on the preliminary results of our laboratory, it is found that some questions should be taken into more consideration.

Objective To observe quantitatively the optic radiation alterations in chronic Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) using MR diffusion tensor imaging at 3.0 T.Methods Twenty-five patients with chronic LHON and twenty-eight sex-and age-matched disease-free control subjects wereenrolled from March 2011 to December 2014.The whole brain DTI examination and retinal opticalcoherence tomography were performed in all the subjects.The parameters values of optic radiation includingfractional anisotropy(FA),mean diffusivity(MD),principal eigenvalue(λ//),orthogonal eigenvalue(λ⊥) and average retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and temporal retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL) thickness were measured.For DTI and OCT parameters,differences between patients and controls and differences right and left of the patient group were evaluated using independent-samples t test and paired t test respectively.Results In LHON patients,the DEC maps showed that the bilateral optic radiation fibers were obviously sparse and slender.The values of FA,MD,λ// and λ⊥ in the right optic radiation were 0.523±0.050,(0.903±0.061) × 10-9 mm2/s,(4.999 ±-0.097) × 10-9 mm2/s and (4.126-± 0.065) × 10-9 mm2/s respectively,and the corresponding values of left optic radiation were 0.537±0.041,(1.057±0.573)× 10-9 mm2/s,(5.052±0.119)×10-9 mm2/s and (4.138±0.072)×1009 mm2/s.Compared with optic radiation in the control group,the bilateral FA was significant reduced,the bilateral λ⊥ value and right MD value were significant increased (t=-6.524,-6.045,6.932,6.454,3.471,P＜0.05).However,there were no significant difference of the bilateral λ〃 and left MD (t=-0.457,1.221,1.833,P＞0.05).There were no significant differences in FA,MD,λ//and λ⊥ between the left and right eyes in LHON patients(P＞0.05).The values of average RNFL thickness and temporal RNFL thickness in right eyes were (59.36± 10.94) and (41.72±9.43) μm respectively,and the corresponding values of left eyes were (60.12±9.81),(44.72±9.43) μm.The average and temporal RNFL thickness were significantly thinned in LHON patients compared with the control group(t=-16.357,-10.398,-17.169,-9.672,P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in average RNFL thickness between the left and right eyes (t=0.959,P＞0.05),temporal RNFL thickness between the left and right eyes was statistically significant (t=2.645,P＜0.05).Conclusion The bilateral optic radiation had significant degeneration and atrophy in chronic LHON.

Neural stem cells in brains have capacities of proliferation and differentiation, which is very critical to rebuild the cerebral cortex functions. Therefore, it is of great importance to find key targets and network pathways that regulate the proliferation of neural stem cells, which is also a pressing problem in the medical circle. With the Notch pathway as the core of the network, this paper summarized the advance of the bimolecular network system composed of Wnt, Shh, EGFR, cytokines and Notch signal, and analyzed such key nodes as Notch receptor, CBF1, NICD, Hesl, which may become potential targets of new-type drugs in the future. With the multi-component, multi-target, multi-lever characteristics, traditional Chinese medicines have many common grounds with the network pharmacology. The active component groups or active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicines are one of the material bases for showing their network pharmacological effect, which is worth exploring. This paper aims to provide a new strategy for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease and nerve injury with traditional Chinese medicines.

Abstract: Objective To analyze a case of bloodstream infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum after abortion in Anxi County Hospital, so as to provide basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods　The diagnosis of Ureaplasma urealyticum in this patient with bloodstream infection was retrospectively analyzed. The basic clinical data and laboratory diagnosis data were collected, including the characteristics of blood culture curve, Wright staining of culture medium, drug sensitivity of Mycoplasma liquid identification, colony characteristics of solid medium, and the conclusion of targeted DNA sequencing. Through the comprehensive analysis of the above data, the rapid diagnosis of this case can be realized by optimizing the detection and diagnosis process. Results　The clinical manifestations of this patient were fever of 38.5 ℃, CRP:14.85 mg/L, WBC:14.33×109/L, NET: 85.40%, PCT: 0.12 ng/mL, IL-6: 665.6 pg/mL, positive after 3 days of blood culture, no bacteria were found in Gram stain, and sand-like purple bacteria were observed after adding Wright's stain. After inoculation in blood agar, Mycoplasma solid and liquid medium, no colonies were grown in blood agar, after 48 h and 5 d. On Mycoplasma A7 agar, the edge of brown fried egg colony was striature, and it could be identified as Ureaplasma urealyticum with the Mycoplasma ID & AST panel, which was resistant to quinolones and spectinomycin, but sensitive to macrolides, tetracyclines and lincomycin. Subsequent targeted DNA sequencing results were also confirmed for Ureaplasma urealyticum. Before receiving the report, clinical experience treatment with ceftriaxone metronidazole was used to fight infection with negative bacilli and anaerobic bacteria. Mycoplasma was not treated with targeted treatment. After 3 days, the patient's body temperature returned to normal, inflammation index decreased, and the patient asked to be discharged. Conclusions　At present, there are few reports of bloodstream infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum, and the lack of clinical understanding can easily lead to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. In order to improve the detection rate of Mycoplasma in blood culture, it is necessary to optimize the detection procedure of blood culture and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment basis for clinical practice. However, it is clear from this case that Mycoplasma bloodstream infection cases are self-limited infection and can recover by themselves without targeted treatment in patients with normal immunity. Therefore, it is very important to protect the immunity of patients.

To investigate the role of volatile components in the compound and to find the substance foundation of Gualou Guizhi decoction (GLGZD) for curing extremities spasticity after stroke. The chemical compositions of essential oil, obtained by hydrodistillation from Gualou Guizhi decoction and its major constituting herbs (Trichosanthis Radix, Paeoniae Alba Radix, Cinnamomi Ramulus, Zingiberis Recens Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus) were analyzed by GC-MS to evaluate the correlativity between volatile components of GLGZD and its major constituting herbs, and volatile components after oral administration of GLGZD in the rats' brain. Volatile components of GLGZD are mainly derived from Cinnamomi Ramulus, Zingiberis Recens Rhizoma, Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus, Trichosanthis Radix. The volatile components in the brain is mostly derived from radix trichosanthis. Compared with individual herbs of GLGZD, the dissolution of the components increase or new components appear after compatibility of six herbs. Adminstrated with GLGZD, the results point out that volatile components in the brain play a neuroprotective role through passing the brain.
