The important role of nursing work environment has received much attention in the management of nursing workforce and the quality of health care services. This paper analyzed current studies on nursing work environment, and suggested that the government and hospital administrators pay more attention to the development of nursing workforce, adequate clinical nurse staffing levels and promoting healthy work environment for nurses.

Objective To explore the effects of low frequency electric stimulation on the clinical manifes- tation and its influence on the level of plasma Endothelin (ET),atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP),thromboxane B_2 (TXB_2),angiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ),Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide(CGRP) and Neuron-specific Enolase(NSE) and its clinical significance in the patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency(VBI). Methods One hundred and tewenty cases of VBI patients were randomly divided into two groups:a treatment group and a control group.Both groups received routine drug treatment.The treatment group (n=60) was also treated with low frequency electric stimulation at bilateral mastoid processfes in addition.The improved rate of the clinical symptom,the plasma level of ET,ANP,TXB_2,AngⅡ,GRP and NSE were observed after treatment. Nursing work environment impacts patient outcomes. This article summarized the concept and connotation of nursing work environment, related theories of how nursing work environment impacts patient safety outcomes and related researches conducted by foreign scholars. The effort of this review article aims to put forward new research direction.

The occupational hazards to nurses are important factors which may influence the physical and mental health of nurses, and further more influence the quality of care the nurses providing to patients. This article reviewed the occupational hazards to nurses and the related factors in organizational environments and nursing human resources, so as to provide references for further studies and evidence for taking measures to prevent occupational hazards to clinical nurses.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic values of (1,3)-β-D-glucan (G) and galactomannan (GM) for invasive fungal infection (IFI) in patients of acute radiation sickness (ARS).Methods Samples of periogeral blood,pharyngeal secretion,urine,and feces were collected from 316patients with ARS and suspected to suffer from IFI,192 males and 124 females,aged 60.50(1-96),with the underlying diseases of blood or respiration systems.Platelia Aspergillus EIA kit was used to detect the plasma BG (G test),and ELISA was used to detect the serum GM (GM test).Fungal culture and bacterial culture were performed.Results The positive rates of G test,GM test,and fungal culture were 36.33%,35.84% ,and 34.18% respectively,but the positive rate of fungal culture of blood sample was 1/316 only.Pearson correlation analysis showed that G test,GM test and fungal culture test were positively correlated with IFI clinical diagnosis respectively (x2 = 0.564,0.357,0.727,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Easy to operate,rapid,and highly sencitive,G test and GM test can be used as adjunctive methods for early IFI diagnosis in ARS patients.

Objective To investigate the influence of an anti-integrin α6 monoclonal antibody (GoH3) on the in vitro infection of a human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT with HPV6/11 virus particles (VP). Methods HaCaT cells were infected in vitro with 4 different concentrations of HPV6/11 VP alone, HPV6/11 VP of 106 copies/ml after incubation with 6 different dilutions of GoH3, or 8 clinical isolates of HPV6/11 VP of 106 copies/ml before or after the incubation with 1∶ 100 dilution of GoH3. After additional culture, the infected HaCaT cells were collected and fluorescence quantitative (FQ)-PCR was performed to detect the HPV DNA load in cells. The inhibition rate of CoH3 on the infection was calculated. Results The viral load was different among the HaCaT cells infected with different concentrations of HPV6/11 VP (P < 0.01). The inhibition rate on the infection positively correlated with the concentration of CoH3 when the dilution was more than 1∶ 100; however, when the dilution was less than 1∶ 100, the increase in CoH3 concentration had no influence on the inhibition rate. The average viral load in HaCaT cells infected with clinical isolates of HPV6/11 VP was (5.81 ± 2.51) × 104 copies/ml in the absence of GoH3, (3.02 ± 1.21) × 104 copies/ml with the presence of CoH3, and the average inhibition rate of GoH3 was (46.9 ± 4.7)%. Conclusions GoH3 could partially suppress the adhesion of HPV6/11 VP to HaCaT cells, hinting that integrin a6 is an important HPV6/11 VP receptor on host cells.

Objective To explore the value of 64-slice spiral CT angiography in diagnosis of pulmonary arteriovenous fistulas(PAVF).Methods 12 patients with suspect PAVF were performed by enhanced scan with 64-SliceCT.Two-dimensional and three-dimensional reformation were performed in all cases including coronal multiplanar reconstruction(MPR),maximum intensity projection(MIP),volume rendering(VR).Resnlts 12 cases were diagnosed as PAVF by 64-SliceCT angiography.Single PAVF in 7 cases,Multi-PAVF in 5cases.We found 20 lesions in 12 patients,Except direct multi-pulmonary arteriovenous fistulas in the area of near the heart in one case.Conclusion 64-slice spiral CT angiography is a useful and noninvasive means to identify PAVF and is also useful for therapeutic planning and postoperative follow-up.

Objective To describe the prevalence and change of rationing of nursing care (RNC) in medical and surgical units of level 2 and level 3 general hospitals across Guangdong province. Methods RNC were measured by asking nurses about the completion status of 12 necessary nursing care activities, and the prevalence of RNC in 2014 was compared with the study results from the China Hospital Nursing Workforce Research(CNWR) in 2009 (exclusively using the data of Guangdong province) to describe the change of RNC. Results Six activities were rationed averagely in 2014, and the most frequent activities rationed wereComfort/talk with patients accounted for 69.8% (975/1 396) andEducating patients and familiesaccounted for 67.3%(940/1 396). According to the CNWR in 2009, the average number of nursing care activities rationed was 3 which was statistically lower than the number in 2014 (P < 0.01). Conclusions RNC is prevalent in level 2 and level 3 general hospitals across Guangdong province, especially psychosocial care to the patients; the prevalence of RNC has not decreased since 2009.
