Among all eases 21.5% were age-related macular degeneration (AMD) blindness, with a trend of ascending from 17.7% in 2003 to 29. 9% in 2008. Most of the cases were classified as grade 3 (56. 9% ) or grade 4 (41.3%) of blindness. AMD has become one of the leading causes of blindness at present and should be the key eye disease for prevention of blindness.
5.Progresses on radiotherapy in pancreatic cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(10):771-773
Recent researches have shown that resectable pancreatic cancer can benefit from post-operative adjuvant chemoradiation, regardless its surgical margins, tumor size, lymph node involvement and the level of cell differentiation. Several phase Ⅱ clinical trials indicated a good tolerance to preoperative chemoradiation. Although there is no gold standard for treating locally advanced unresectable pancreatic cancer, gemcitabine-based chemotherapy or chemoradiation therapy can increase survival rate compared with best supportive care.
6.Influence of Swan-like memory connector on osteopontin and osteonectin mRNA expression during experimental fracture healing
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;0(09):-
Objective:To explore the effect and mechanism of continuous dynamic pressure stress, which is produced by Swan-like shape memory connector(SMC), on osteopontin and osteonectin mRNA expression during experimental fracture healing. Methods: Bilateral humeral diaphyses of 30 adult rabbits were osteotomized in the middle and then 1 humerus was randomly chosen for internal fixation with SMC and the contralateral side was fixed with 4-hole dynamic compression plate(DCP). Six animals were sacrificed at 2, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days after operation and samples from the fracture gaps were obtained. Histological observation and RT-PCR were employed to study the expression of osteopontin and osteonectin mRNA.Results: In terms of histology, the endochondral bone formation and callus remodelling took place earlier in fractures fixed with SMC than with DCP. Osteopontin and osteonectin mRNA expression levels peaked at 14 and 28 days after the fracture, respectively. There was a delay in the increase and decrease of osteopontin and osteonectin mRNA in DCP fixed cases. Conclusion: The persistent dynamic longitudinal pressure stress produced by SMC may promote the healing process of long bones.

8.Progress of heterogeneous-nuclear ribonucleoproteins A1 in digestive system neoplasms
Cancer Research and Clinic 2017;29(5):349-353
Heterogeneous-nuclear ribonucleoproteins A1 (hnRNP A1) is one of the important members of hnRNPs family. The function of hnRNP A1 is closely related to RNA transcription, mRNA translation, splicing of splicing sites, splicing site selection, pre-RNA maturation and degradation, cell proliferation and transformation. Overexpression of hnRNP A1 in various types of digestive system tumors is associated with poor prognosis and may serve as an early biomarker for cancer. This article reviews the recent advances in the development of hnRNP A1 and characterizes their roles in cellular and gene expression and in the development of human tumors, highlighting that hnRNP A1 is likely to be an important indicator for tumor prognosis and a potential drug target for the treatment.
