Objective To investigate the features of surface electromyography of lumbar muscles in non-specific low back pain (NLBP) patients when they were practicing different types of bridging exercise. Methods 18 healthy subjects (control group) and 18 NLBP patients (NLBP group) were included and asked to practice bridging exercise with single and double feet. The root mean square (RMS) of surface electromyography of both sides of lumbar muscles were recorded. Results No significant difference was found in the control group. The RMS of erector spinae was more in the supported side than in the contra side for NLBP patients in bridging exercise with single foot. There was no significant difference among different time points in the same muscle. Conclusion The contractions of erector spinae in both sides are not equal in asymmetric bridging exercise in NLBP patients.

Objective To study the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) combined with hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy on the recovery of neurological functional after cerebral infarction, and to discuss its possible mechanism. Methods Forty-five patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into a control group,an rTMS group and an rTMS plus HBO group, each group with 15 patients. The patients in the two treatment groups received 1 Hz rTMS to inhibit the unaffected hemisphere and 3 Hz rTMS to stimulate the affected hemisphere. One of the treatment groups also received HBO therapy,14 daily sessions. The National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) and the Barthel index (BI) were evaluated on the 1st,14th and 30th day of treatment. Results The neurological function scores of those in the rTMS group and the rTMS & HBO group improved significantly. On the 1st and 14th day,no significant difference in NIHSS or BI scores was observed among the three groups, but by the 30th day the average neurological functional score in the rTMS & HBO group had improved significantly compared with the control group. The rTMS plus HBO group showed significantly better improvement than the rTMS group in terms of BI scores, but no significant difference in average NIHSS and BI scores was observed between the rTMS group and the control group.Fifteen days after the treatments had finished, the follow up results showed the improvements of the patients in the rTMS plus HBO group were significantly better than those in the other groups. Conclusion For patients with cerebral infarction,rTMS combined with HBO therapy can improve neurological function more significantly than rTMS therapy alone.

On hundred cases of B—hepatitis were treated by self—formulatel B—hepatitis No.1 granules made of traditional drugs.A control group of100 cases were treat-ed with Jiaosanxian(scorched triple ingredients,con-sisiting of hawthorn, malt.and membrane of chickengizzard).Resultsshowed that,in the experimentedgroup, the lowering of transaminase, inhibition ofvirus duplieation and improvement of globulin ratioareall—superior to the control group. The resultswere also verified bylaborarory experiments.

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of spirulina kinase(SPK)on the vascular endothelial function of model rats with atherosclerosis. METHODS:60 rats were randomly divided into normal control group(distilled water),model group(distilled wa-ter),positive control group(simvastatin,0.005 g/kg)and SPK low-dose,medium-dose,high-dose groups(80,160,320 U/kg). Except for normal control group, rats in other groups were induced for model of atherosclerosis. All groups were intragastrically ad-ministrated relevant medicines at the same time, once a day for consecutive 12 weeks. Total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) contents in serum of rats were measured. And the changes of thoracic aortic endothelium morphology were ob-served by HE staining. RESULTS:Compared with normal control group,TC,TG,LDL-C,IL-6,TNF-α contents in serum of rats in model group were increased(P<0.01),HDL-C content in serum was decreased(P<0.01);vascular endothelial cells fell off, intimal proliferation projected into the lumen, smooth muscle cell proliferated and disordered, medium film elastic fiber disintegrat-ed and fractured. Compared with model group,TC,TG,LDL-C,IL-6,TNF-α contents in serum of rats in administration groups were decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01),HDL-C content in positive control group and SPK medium-dose,high-dose groups was in-creased (P<0.05). Vascular endothelial cell morphology was improved significantly in administration groups,in which, vascular endothelial cells were structurally intact in SPK medium-dose,high-dose groups, inner membrane was basically smooth;medium smooth muscle cells arranged slightly disordered in SPK medium-dose group. Compared with normal control group, there were no obvious changes. CONCLUSIONS:SPK shows obvious lipid-lowering and anti-inflammatory effects,it can protect vascular endo-thelial function. The mechanism may be related to reducing TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,IL-6,TNF-αcontents and increasing HDL-C content in serum.

Journal of Clinical Medicine in Practice 2024;28(8):113-118
Objective To analyze and explicate the conceptual connotations of exercise rehabili-tation preferences in stroke patients. Methods A systematic search was conducted across multiple da-tabases including the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),the Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase, and CINAHL,with the search period extending from inception to October 2022.In accordance with in-clusion and exclusion criteria, eligible literatures were selected, and a comprehensive analysis was per-formed by Rodgers'evolutionary concept analysis method. Results A total of 34 literatures were in-cluded.Exercise rehabilitation preferences for stroke patients encompassed 5 concept attributes:prefer-ences for exercise rehabilitation programs, risk tolerance in rehabilitation, time preferences for engaging in exercises, supervision and support, and confidence and challenges;the antecedents to these prefer-ences included demographic factors,disease-related factors, emotional and psychological factors,exter-nal environmental factors, and fatigue;outcomes associated with these preferences included the realiza-tion of individualized exercise rehabilitation, improvement in adherence to rehabilitation regimens,in-creased levels of physical activity, and facilitation of motor function recovery. Conclusion Through the conceptual analysis of exercise rehabilitation preferences in stroke patients, healthcare professionals can better understand its underlying dimensions, thereby enabling more in-depth research and explora-tion into exercise rehabilitation practices tailored for stroke patients.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2024;30(9):1151-1158
Objective:To conduct an overview of systematic reviews on the safety and effectiveness of early mobilization in stroke patients. Methods:Systematic reviews of early mobilization in stroke were electronically searched on China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Data, VIP, Chinese Biology Medicine, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, Embase, and the Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center Database. The search period was from database establishment to May 2023. Two researchers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, and methodological quality evaluation of the included literature, as well as evidence summary and grading. Results:A total of 10 systematic reviews were included. The methodological quality evaluation showed that one article was of medium quality, two articles were of low quality, and seven articles were of extremely low quality. The evidence quality evaluation indicated that there were three pieces of high-quality evidence, 17 pieces of medium-quality evidence, 21 pieces of low-quality evidence, and 17 pieces of extremely low-quality evidence. Conclusions:Early mobilization is beneficial for improving the daily living ability and limb motor function of stroke patients, reducing the incidence of complications, shortening hospital stay, and enhancing their walking ability in the short term. However, the quality of evidence in the systematic review is relatively low, and further improvement is needed in the research design of early mobilization intervention measures to provide strong support for clinical practice.
