Chinese Journal of Dermatology 1995;0(01):-
To evaluate the relationship between the family atopic history(FAH) and clinical,labo- ratory parameters and diagnosis in patients with atopic dermatitis(AD).One hundred and fifty-eight AD patients were included in this study and the patients were divided into two groups,89 eases (56.3%) with FAH and 69 cases(43.7%) without FAH.The personal and family atopie history, the distribution and morphology of the lesions, five associated clinical manifestations and laboratory tests were per- formed in 158 cases with AD.In comparison of the patients with FAH with the cases without FAH,the age of onset in AD patients under two years was 92.1% and 84.1%,respectively;persistent course, 55.1% and 43.5%;the average time of intermittent course,5.7 years and 9.6 years;the age of onset of respiratory tract allergy(AR),4.1 years and 6.2 years in cases with asthma,8.8 years and 11.1 years in allergic rhinitis (R).The morbidity of asthma in patients with personal and family atopic history was higher and it was higher in Ⅰ and Ⅱ generation also. The levels of serum IgE in AD patients with per- sonal and family history of AR were higher than those in without AR history(P
2.Applications of ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2017;33(1):90-92
Ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography (UWFA) is a novel breakthrough in ocular fundus imaging technology, which can capture a single, high-resolution, 200° wide image of the ocular fundus that traditional fluorescein angiography cannot reach. This technology has important impacts on the screening, diagnosis, staging, treatment and follow-up of vascular diseases involving peripheral retina (such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, uveitis and so on).

BACKGROUND:At present, dexamethasone has been widely used in the perioperative period of major surgery in the orthopedics for reducing postoperative pain and nausea and vomiting, but the study on the application of methylprednisolone to reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting and pain after unilateral total knee arthroplasty is rarely reported.OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effects and safety assessment of the application of methylprednisolone on postoperative nausea and vomiting and pain after unilateral total knee arthroplasty. METHODS:A total of 86 patients undergoing unilateral total knee arthroplasty were randomly assigned to two groups. Patients in the methylprednisolone group were given methylprednisolone 40 mg in intravenous drip within 24 hours during and after replacement. Patients in the control group were given an equal volume of saline in intravenous drip at the same time. The incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting was observed and recorded at 0-6 hours, 6-24 hours, 24-48 hours, and 48-72 hours after surgery, as wel as the total incidence was recorded in both groups. Pain visual analogue scale (VAS) score at 6, 24, 48 and 72 hours after replacement, and knee joint scoring system (KSS) score at 3 days after replacement were recorded. C-reactive protein and fasting blood glucose were determined. The occurrence of adverse reactions postoperatively was recorded in 6-month fol ow-up in both groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The total incidence rate of postoperative nausea and vomiting during 0-72 hours after surgery, and incidence rates of nausea and vomiting at 6 and 24 hours were significantly lower in the methylprednisolone group than in the control group (P<0.05). (2) Pain VAS score was significantly lower in the methylprednisolone group than in the control group at 6 and 24 hours after surgery (P<0.05). (3) KSS scores were significantly higher in the methylprednisolone group than in the control group after surgery (P<0.05). (4) C-reactive protein and fasting blood glucose were not significantly different between two groups before and after surgery (P>0.05). (5) The surgical incision was found to heal in 3-month fol ow-up and no postoperative infection occurred in both groups. (6) Results show that methylprednisolone can obviously reduce postoperative nausea and vomiting and pain in unilateral total knee arthroplasty, and did not increase the incidence of postoperative infection.

Objective To improve disadvantages such as asynchrony during embryoid bodies(EBs)preparation, and to establish a novel method to prepare EBs by using attached mouse embryonic stem Cells. Methods Mouse R1 embryonic stem(ES)cells were trypsinized to a single cell suspension when reaching a sub-confluent state of 70 %~80 %,then 1?106 ES cells were plated into 100 mm tissue culture dishes. After being cultured in medium containing low concentration leukemia inhibitory factor(LIF,1 ?g/L)for 3 days,EBs were collected and suspended in EBs culture medium for further development.Morphology studies were performed on suspended EBs and their cryosections, then immunofluorescent staining of ?-fetoprotein(AFP),platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1(PECAM-1),and neurofilament 68 KD(NF-68)were performed on suspended and attached EBs.Results EBs obtained by this method were homogeneous in size, synchronous in developmental stage;typical in structure and could well display the developmental process from simple EBs to mature cystic EBs.Immunofluorescent staining showed that AFP,PECAM-1 and NF-68 were positive. Conclusion Compared with present methods of preparing EBs,this novel method have advantages of simple manipulation, high efficiency of EBs formation and obtaining EBs at synchronous developmental stage, furthermore, these EBs have typical structures and the potential to differentiate into derivatives of all three embryonic germ layers. Thus this method can be used as an ideal tool for studies on early embryonal development,ES cell differentiation and so on.

Objective To investigate the character and risk factors of coronary artery disease in prediabetes. Methods The 193 patients with coronary artery disease were divided into 3 groups according to the American diabetes associations (ADA) standard of diabetic diagnoses. (1) Normal glucose tolerance group(NGT group,122 cases). (2) Impaired glucose tolerance group (IGT group,39 cases). (3) Diabetes mellitus group (DM group,32 cases). All patients were checked by the coronary angiographic semiquantitative (CAG) and the 75g oral glucose tolerance test. Blood glucose, insulin, TG, TC, HDL C, blood pressure, BUN and Cr were determined. The coronary artery changes were analysed by CAG, and the severity of coronary artery stenosis were evaluated by AHA standards. The risk factors in coronary artery disease were analysed by pluralized straight line statistics. Results The coronary multivessel changes and the severity of coronary artery stenosis and calcification were more frequent in IGT group than in NGT group (66 5% vs 35 1%,8 9?3 6 vs 6 5?3 9,6 6?6 1 vs 3 9?4 1,P

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To investigate the characteristics and the effect of severed hallux replantation. Methods Eighteen completely severed halluces had been replanted since 1991.Injuried foot were kept in extending at 90?-120? position. The sequence of hallux replantation was opposed to the classical order and was so called"the retrograde replantating means(RRM)".The order of RRM was defined as follows: skin of toe abdomen→subcutaneous vein of toe abdomen→inhered toe nerve→inhered toe artery→flexor toe tendon→toe fixation by a single K-needle→extendor toe tendon→artery in the back of toe→subcutaneous vein of toe back→skin of bilateral and back. Results Sixteen of eighteen halluces survived replantation(89.9%).The total flexion degree in replanted halluces was 25?~70?.The appearance of amputated toes restored well. The two-point discrimination was 10~16 mm.Eleven cases walked as entirely usually in gait, and seven cases had basic normal gait. Conclusions Replantation of severed halluces could alleviate wound and remnant greatly. The recovery of foot function and aspect of replanted toes was satisfactory. The RRM gradation showed a distinctive advantage that there was no requiring for injuried foot be moved during operation.
