1.Applications of ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2017;33(1):90-92
Ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography (UWFA) is a novel breakthrough in ocular fundus imaging technology, which can capture a single, high-resolution, 200° wide image of the ocular fundus that traditional fluorescein angiography cannot reach. This technology has important impacts on the screening, diagnosis, staging, treatment and follow-up of vascular diseases involving peripheral retina (such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, uveitis and so on).

Objective To evaluate the advantage of laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (TME) and the clinical value of pull-through anastomosis in the treatment of rectal carcinoma. Methods From November 2005 to December 2006, laparoscopic TME combined with pull-through anastomosis was carried out on 8 patients with rectal cancer. Results In all of the 8 patients, TME was completed under a laparoscope without additional incision, and the pull-through anastomosis was performed by hand. The mean operation time was 220 minutes (range, 180 to 300). The patients were followed up for 8-18 months (mean, 13 months), during which none of them developed implantation at puncture sites or local recurrence. Conclusions Laparoscopy provides a direct, magnified and reliable view for TME. Pull-though anastomosis is a convenient and low-cost method.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(05):-
Objective To investigate if the cell death in hippocampus can occur after single and kindled audiogenic seizure, and the pertinent mechanisms involved. Methods HE staining was used to show the distribution of the dead cells and the immunocytochemistry was used to show the expression of the apoptosis\|related proteins Bcl\|2 and Bax. Results After single audiogenic seizure, there were a few dead cells in hippocampus. After kindled seizure a lots of pyknotic, acidophilic cells were found in hippocampal CA\-1,CA\-2,CA\-4 subregions and the granular layer of dentate gyrus. The CA (corrected optic density) values of Bax immunoreactivities in CA\-2 and CA\-4 subregions were increased significantly in kindled rats, in contrast with that in control rats.Conclusions\ Audiogenic kindling can induce marked cell death in hippocampus.Apoptosis may be one of the mechanisms underling this kind of cell death.

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2001;0(01):-
Objective To study the relationship between endothel in-1 in plasma and TCD in patients with brain injury. Methods We measured dynamically the level of ET-1 in plasma on 33 adult brain injured patients. Cerebral vasospasm was detected by transcranal Doppler sonography (TCD).Results 1.During 6-8 days, 13-15 days after injury, there was a significantly positive correlation between the level of ET-1 in plasma and cerebral vasospasm (r=0.533,P=0.002;r=0.423,P=0.02),especially during 6-8 days after injury. The increase of the level of ET-1 in plasma paralleled paroled with the time of cerebral vasospasm developed. 2.During 6-8 days after injury, the level of ET-1 in plasma of patients with cerebral vasospasm was obviously higher than those without cerebral vasospasm obviously (P

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2005;0(S1):-
Objective: To evaluate the effects of percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty ( PBPV) for pulmonary valve stenosis (PS) by single-balloon, double-balloon and Inoue-balloon methods. Methods: PBPV was performed in 42 patients with PS. The systolic right ventricular pressure (SRVP) , systolic right ventricular outflow pressure and systolic pulmonary arterial pressure ( SPAP) were contrasted before and after the procedure. Systolic transpulmonary valve pressure gradient (TVPG) and total pressure gradient from right ventricular to pulmonary arterial after the procedure were compared among the three gropes. Results:SRVP, SRVOP were decreased from (14. 69?6. 01 )kPa, (12. 16?3. 48)kPa to (8.14?5.26)kPa, (5.39?2.21)kPa and PAP increased from (1.57?0.56)cm to (17. 16? 2.16)cm after PBPV, respectively. TVPGs were (2. 40?2. 05) kPa, (3. 29?2. 25 ) kPa, (2.52? 1.95)kPa and TPGs were (2. 40?2. 05)kPa, (4.98?4.26)kPa, (6.16?6.93)kPa, (5.65?4.75) kPa after PBPV by single balloon, double balloon and Inoue balloon methods, respectively. During the follow-up period (2. 5?1. 6) years, bloodflow velocity at pulmonary valve measured by supersonic Doppler decreased from (2. 38?1. 89) m/s immediately after PBPV to (2.22?1. 96) m/s, further TVPG decreasing was indicated. Conclusion: The short and long term results of PBPV for PS by each of the three methods were excellent. Inoue balloon may be the first choice for elder children and adults, while for younger children, single balloon method may be preferred. Double balloon method can be remained as the second choice when Inoue method failed.
