Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of serum exsomal miRNA-155-5p (miR-155-5p) and prognosis in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).Methods:A total of 336 samples from ESCC patients in Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital from October 2014 to December 2015 were collected. The relative expression levels of serum exsomal miR-155-5p were detected by using real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Cut-off value of the expression levels of serum exsomal miR-155-5p was determined by using X-tile software. Based on the optimal cut-off value, patients were divided into miR-155-5p low expression group and miR-155-5p high expression group. The survival curve was drawn by using Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to make survival analysis. Results:The cut-off value of serum exsomal miR-155-5p expression level was 2.340. According to the cut-off value, patients were divided into miR-155-5p low expression group (<2.340) of 51 cases and miR-155-5p high expression group (≥2.340) of 285 cases. There were no statistical differences in age ( χ2 = 0.020, P = 0.887), gender ( χ2 = 0.283, P = 0.595), tumor location ( χ2 = 0.063, P = 0.977), differentiation grade ( P = 0.474), clinical staging ( χ2 = 3.996, P = 0.136) and surgery treatment ( χ2 = 0.941, P = 0.332) of patients in both groups. ESCC patients in serum exsomal miR-155-5p high expression had a higher risk of death compared with patients in miR-155-5p low expression group ( HR = 1.763, 95% CI 1.049-2.961, P = 0.032). Conclusion:The high expression level of serum exsomal miR-155-5p is associated with poor prognosis in ESCC patients and it could be used as a prognostic new marker in ESCC patients.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2024;30(31):4262-4269
Objective:To evaluate the effects of mind-body exercise on breast cancer patients using a Meta-analysis.Methods:Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effects of mind-body exercises on breast cancer patients were systematically searched in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang data, VIP, and China Biology Medicine disc, with a search period from database inception to November 30, 2023. The references of the included studies were also reviewed. After two reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted information, and evaluated the quality of the included studies, a Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results:A total of 23 RCTs involving 1 730 breast cancer patients were included. The Meta-analysis showed that, compared to conventional care, mind-body exercise significantly reduced anxiety in breast cancer patients [ SMD=-0.46, 95% CI (-0.71, -0.21), P<0.01], as well as in those undergoing chemotherapy [ SMD=-0.30, 95% CI (-0.54, -0.07), P=0.01]. Mind-body exercise also alleviated depression in breast cancer patients. Subgroup analysis found that the Baduanjin group [ SMD=-1.13, 95% CI (-1.63, -0.64), P<0.01] was more effective in alleviating depression than the yoga group [ SMD=-0.24, 95% CI (-0.41, -0.07), P<0.01]. However, there was no statistically significant effect of mind-body exercise on improving the quality of sleep in breast cancer patients [ SMD=-0.41, 95% CI (-0.89, 0.06), P=0.09]. In terms of the effect of mind-body exercise on fatigue levels in breast cancer patients, subgroup analysis showed that Baduanjin [ SMD=-0.91, 95% CI (-1.26, -0.55), P<0.01] and Tai Chi [ SMD=-0.57, 95% CI (-0.92, -0.21), P<0.01] significantly reduced fatigue levels, while yoga [ SMD=-0.43, 95% CI (-0.98, 0.12), P=0.13] did not show a statistically significant effect on reducing fatigue levels in breast cancer patients. Conclusions:Mind-body exercises can reduce anxiety and depression and alleviate the level of fatigue in breast cancer patients. However, the effects of different exercise modalities on improving sleep quality in breast cancer patients vary.

From August 2018 to January 2020, 22 eyes of 22 patients with PCV diagnosed in the ophthalmological examination of Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University were included in the study. Among them, there were 10 males with 10 eyes and 12 females with 12 eyes; the average age was 67.75±9.53 years. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), OCTA, and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) were performed. All the affected eyes were injected vitreously with 10 mg/ml Conbercept 0.05 ml (including Conbercept 0.5 mg) once a month for 3 consecutive months.Tthe macular area of 3 mm×3 mm and 6 mm×6 mm with an OCTA instrument was scanned, and the foveal retinal thickness (CRT) was measured, the area of abnormal branch blood vessels (BVN). pigment epithelial detachment before and 12 months after treatment (PED) height, foveal choroid thickness (SFCT) were performed. The diagnosis rate of PCV by OCTA was observed, as well as the changes of various indicators of BCVA and OCTA. Before and after treatment, BCVA and CRT were compared by paired t test; BVN area, PED height, and SFCT were compared by variance analysis. The changes in imaging characteristics of OCTA before and after treatment were analyzed. Results:Among the 22 eyes, 8 eyes were BVN; 5 eyes were polypoid lesions (polyps); 5 eyes were BVN combined with polyps; 3 eyes were not found with BVN and polyps; 1 eye with small vascular network structure, this eye was ICGA Appears as strong nodular fluorescence (polyps). The detection rate of PCV by OCTA was 86.36% (19/22). Twelve months after treatment, BVN was significantly reduced or disappeared in 16 eyes (72.72%, 16/22); polyps disappeared in 17 eyes (77.27%, 17/22). Compared with before treatment, 12 months after treatment, BCVA increased ( t=3.071), CRT decreased ( t=2.440), the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05); the average BVN area, PED height, and SFCT decreased. The difference in average BVN area and PED height was statistically significant ( F=2.805, 3.916; P<0.05), and the difference in SFCT was not statistically significant ( F=0.047, P>0.05). Conclusions:The detection rate of PCV by OCTA is 86.36%. After PCV anti-vascular endothelial growth factor drug treatment, BVN area decrease and polyps subside. OCTA is an effective means for PCV diagnosis and follow-up after anti-VEGF drug treatment.

Objective:To investigate the effects of different analgesic methods of hydromorphone on analgesic efficacy and sleep quality in patients with refractory cancer pain. Methods:Sixty patients with refractory cancer pain who received three-step analgesic treatment in Quzhou People's Hospital from August 2018 to December 2019 and acquired poor analgesic effects were included in this study. They were randomly assigned to undergo either an intravenous patient-controlled analgesia with hydromorphone (HV group, n = 30) or an intrathecal patient-controlled analgesia with hydromorphone (HI group, n = 30) for 10 consecutive days. The analgesic efficacy in each group was evaluated using the numerical rating scale (NRS) before and 2, 4, 24, 48 hours, and 10 days after administration. The frequency of breakthrough pain (BTP) at each time point was recorded. The sedation effect of medication was evaluated using the Ramsay score. The sleep quality of patients was evaluated using the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI). The activities of CD 3+, CD 4+, and CD 4+/CD 8+ lymphocyte subsets were measured by flow cytometry at different time points. The adverse reactions within 10 days after treatment were observed and recorded. Results:Before and at each time point after treatment, there were no significant differences in NRS score, the frequency of BTP, Ramsay score, and PSQI score between the two groups (NRS score: t = 0.45, 0.91, 0.52, 1.19, 0.97, 1.92, all P > 0.05; frequency of BTP: t = 0.34, 1.88, 0.86, 1.71, 1.22, 0.76, all P > 0.05; Ramsay score: t = 0.56, 0.46, 0.63, 0.22, 0.99, 0.14, all P > 0.05; PSQI: t = 0.86, 1.25, 1.46, 1.05, 0.57, 1.93, all P > 0.05). At each time point after treatment, the activities of CD 3+, CD 4+, and CD 4+/CD 8+ cells increased in each group, and the activities of CD 3+, CD 4+, and CD 4+/CD 8+ cells in the HI group were significantly higher than those in the HV group (CD 3+: t = 3.72, 3.12, 2.85, 3.13, 2.44, all P < 0.05; CD 4+: t = 3.62, 2.45, 3.31, 3.19, 2.70; all P > 0.05; CD 4+/CD 8+: t = 3.10, 2.74, 2.83, 3.24, 3.41, all P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions was slightly, but not significantly, lower in the HI group than the HV group [14.00% (7/30) vs. 26.00% (13/30), χ2 = 2.70, P = 0.100]. Conclusion:Compared with intravenous administration of hydromorphone, intrathecal administration of hydromorphone can better effectively relieve pain, decrease the frequency of BTP, improve sleep quality, has a good sedative effect, improve immune function, and has fewer adverse reactions.
