Formative evaluation is a medical education evaluation form used to correct its own track in the course of activities so as to get better effect. In the medical education, it can significantly improve the medical students' ability such as active learning ability, relearning ability, ability to master and apply know l edge, ability of scientific thinking and debating, ability of innovation and analysis, ability of association and communication, and so on.

Objective To investigate the effect of thymosin ?1 (T?1) on cellular immune function in gastric cancer patients through observing its treatment on the differentiation of T-lymphocyte subsets from screened peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Methods PBMCs were obtained by centrifugation of blood samples from 18 healthy subjects and 32 patients with gastric cancer, and then cultured in the presence of culture medium with addition of T?1 at 50,10 and 1 ?g/ml for 2 d. T lymphocyte subsets (such as CD4+,CD8+ and CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ T cells) and Th1/Th2 multiplex cytokines were detected by flow cytometry (FCM). Results After PBMCs isolated from healthy people and patients were incubated with or without T?1,there was no significant change in percentage of CD4+,CD8+ peripheral lymphocyte subsets and ratio of CD4+/CD8+. There was no obvious change in the percentage of CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ T lymphocyte subsets in the normal control, but a significant increase was observed in the cells from patients with gastric cancer after treatment (P

Displacement of distal ventriculo-atrial (VA) shunt is not uncommon. However, misplacement of the distal catheter of VA shunt in the internal jugular vein is a possibility, especially when conducted without intraoperative monitoring. We describe a patient in whom a VA shunt was performed due to failure of ventriculo-peritoneal shunt and the distal catheter of the shunt was found to be misplaced in the left internal jugular vein. Endovascular intervention via femoral vein was used to retrieve the distal catheter.

Objective:To evaluate the association between the number of teeth missed and the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in adults. Methods:A cross-sectional study was carried out in 26 983 adults from Tianjin Chronic Low-grade Systemic Inflammation and Health Cohort Study. The number of teeth missed (excluding third molars) was recorded and classified into four categories: 0, 1-, 3- and ≥6. NAFLD was diagnosed by at least two liver ultrasonography examinations. Adjusted multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to access the association between the number of missed teeth and NAFLD in adults. Results:The overall prevalence of NAFLD was 7 270 and the number of the subjects with at least one tooth missed was 9 667. The multivariable-adjusted ORs (95% CI) of NAFLD across the categories of tooth missing (0, 1-, 3- and ≥6) were as follows: 1.00, 1.04 (0.93-1.15), 1.08 (0.93-1.26) and 1.38 (1.09-1.76) (trend test P=0.030) in males; 1.00, 0.96 (0.82-1.12), 1.11 (0.91-1.35) and 1.22 (0.90-1.64) (trend test P=0.450) in females. Conclusion:The number of missed teeth was positively associated with a higher prevalence rate of NAFLD in males with over 6 teeth missed, but not in females.

Objective To discuss the feasibility, the advantages and disadvantages, the clinical efficacy and the indications of minimally invasive transforaminal endoscopic debridement combined with allograft and posterial percutaneous internal fixation for thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis. Methods All of 22 patients with thoracolumbar tuberculosis treated in our department from January 2012 to December 2013 were retrospectively reviewed. There are 11 male and female cases separately, with an average age of 54.1 ±10.2 years and with an average disease duration of 5.3 ± 1.9 months.Endoscopic lesion removal and allograft bone grafting combined with posterial percutaneous immobilization were performed on all these cases. The data of these patients were complete, and all patients had been followed up for more than 36 months. The clinical and radiographic results were recorded and analyzed. Results In this group,22 patients were followed-up for 41.9±2.5 months(36-48 months). The spinal kyphosis was not improved 3 months after surgery (t=0.3546,P=0.7029),but the amount of blood loss (30.5±7.9 ml) was less in the operation, the amount of postoperative analgesics(0.3±0.1 g) was low and the bed time(1.5±0.3 days) was short. No recurrence and no internal fixation failure was found after long term follow-up.Good clinical outcomes were achieved with the fusion rate reached above grade 2 in all patients(95.5%) except one.The neuralgia was relieved, and the spinal cord injury was recovered to ASIA E.The VAS score and SF-36 score which were recorded 1 month and 3 months after operative were all improved significantly compared with those before operation, and patients' life quality in the early period after operation was excellent. The incidence of complications was low(9.0%),and the patients were satisfied with the treatment process. Conclusion It may be a potential way to treat spinal tuberculosis with minimally invasive transforaminal endoscopic debridement combined with allograft and percutaneous internal fixation, which could be a powerful supplement to other therapeutic measures, and is worthy of further research and development.

Objective:To learn about the epidemiological and spatial clustering characteristics of brucellosis in Shandong Province, and to provide a reference for scientific prevention and control of brucellosis. Methods:The epidemic data of human brucellosis in Shandong Province from January 2015 to December 2020 were collected from the Infectious Disease Reporting Information Management System of China Disease Control and Prevention Information System, and the data were analyzed by descriptive epidemiology and spatial clustering analysis. Results:A total of 18 811 cases of human brucellosis were reported in Shandong Province from 2015 to 2020, and the average annual incidence rate was 3.16/100 000. Human brucellosis occurred in every month of the year, and the peak incidence was from March to August, accounting for 66.31% (12 474/18 811). The top 5 counties (districts) with average annual incidence rates were Lijin County (32.39/100 000), Kenli District (11.02/100 000), Wudi County (10.35/100 000), Zhanhua District (9.59/100 000) and Shanghe County (8.80/100 000). There were 13 436 males and 5 375 females, with a male-female sex ratio of 2.50 ∶ 1.00; the age was mainly concentrated in 30-69 years old, accounting for 83.23% (15 656/18 811); farmer was the main occupation, accounting for 85.82% (16 144/18 811). The results of global spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the annual incidence rates of brucellosis in Shandong Province showed a spatial clustering distribution from 2015 to 2020; and the local spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the high incidence of human brucellosis was mainly concentrated in the north of Shandong Province. Conclusions:The incidence of brucellosis in Shandong Province is mainly concentrated in spring and summer, most of them are farmers, and the high incidence areas have spatial clustering. Key prevention and control measures should be taken for high incidence seasons, high-risk population and northern high clustering areas to reduce the incidence of brucellosis.
