Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1999;0(12):-
Objective: To review the pathological characteristics of the lungs in mitral stenosis with pulmonary hypertension, and provide evidence for clinical treatment. Methods: Pulmonary pathological changes in 37 patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis and secondary pulmonary hypertension received mitral valve replacement. Six patients of aortic valve disease without pulmonary hypertension received aortic valve replacement and were taken as control. The lung biopsies were obtained from the middle lobe of the right lung in operation. Pulmonary muscular arteries were studied quantitatively and qualitatively. Results: All patients with mitral stenosis showed various degrees of vascular and other associated parenchymal changes. The structural changes in the muscular arteries was graded according to the degree of MT/R. There was 81% of patients with mitral stenosis in mild to moderate degree. Conclusion: The pulmonary vascular pathological changes of patients who have rheumatic mitral stenosis with pulmonary hypertension are related to the level of preoperative pulmonary artery pressure. And in most of them the pulmonary vascular pathological changes are in mild to moderate degree.

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2020;33(9):883-886
OBJECTIVE:
To observe the application of modified traction therapy in traumatic atlantoaxial subluxation in adults.
METHODS:
The clinical data of 31 patients with atlantoaxial subluxation treated from March 2018 to June 2019 were restropectively analyzed. There were 15 males and 16 females, aged from 18 to 68 years old with an average of 39 years old, including 10 cases of 18-40 years, 15 cases of 41-60 years, 6 cases of 51-68 years. The main manifestations of the patients were limited neck movement, pain, and atlantoaxial CT scan showed different degrees of atlantoaxial subluxation. Three dimensional multifunctional traction bed was used for traction for 2 min, relaxation for 10 s. The traction angle starts from the rearward extension of 5°-10° and weight from 3-6 kg. The weight increased by 1 kg every two days until the symptoms were improved. Traction time was 30 min twice a day and 10 days for a course of treatment. One course of treatment was performed in patients with 1-2 mm left and right equal width of atlantoaxial space, and two courses of treatment were performed in patients with 3-4 mm left and right equal width of atlantoaxial space, and the course of treatment could be increased to 3 months in especially patients with serious problems, such as 4 mm left and right equal width of atlantoaxial space and no improvement after conventional treatment. The criteria to evaluate the clinical effect was cure:no pain in the neck, normal range of neck movement, CT showed normal atlantoaxial space and odontoid process was in the middle, patients with normal neck movement were followed up 1 month after the end of treatment;improvement:neck pain was significantly improved and CT showed that the left and right atlantoaxial space was less than 1 mm in equal width.
RESULTS:
Among the 31 patients, 17 cases were cured by one course of treatment, 11 cases were cured by 2 courses of treatment, and 2 caseswere improved.
CONCLUSION
The modified traction therapy has obvious effect on adult traumatic atlantoaxial subluxation, especially the subluxation of 3-4 mm equal width in left and right atlantoaxial space, and this method is safe and reliable with good efficacy and the patients without discomfort.

Acta Laboratorium Animalis Scientia Sinica 2014;(2):1-5
Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells ( BMMSC) on the inflammatory response of microglial cells .Methods The samples were divided into four groups .Group I:microglial (BV-2) cells were cultured in DMEM (high glucose).Group II: BV-2 cells were cultured in DMEM containing lipopo-lysaccharide (LPS).Group III:BV-2cells and BMMSCs were co-cultured in DMEM.Group IV: BMMSCs were cultured in DMEM containing LPS .The growth state and ultrastructure of BV-2 cells were observed and the changes of TNF-αex-pression were detected .Results Different cell densities of BV-2 cells were observed under the optical microscope in an or-der from high level to low level:group I >group III >group II.The expressions of TNF-αwere:group Ⅱ >groupⅢ>group Ⅰ.Ultrastructural observation of BV-2 cells showed that there were a large number of swollen mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum , some of them showed vacuolization .No BV-2 cells with multiple hucleoli were found in the group II indicating the absence of active cell growth .At the same time, cytolysis was observed only in the group II .The growth of BV-2 cells in the group III was better than that in the group II .Conclusions BMMSCs can inhibit inflammatory response of microglial cells, therefore, play a neuroprotective role.

Objective To investigate the association of interleukin-6 (IL-6) with depression using meta analysis. Methods A systematic literature search was conducted to examine depression and interleukin-6 in Chinese patients us-ing“depression”and“interleukin-6”in Databases including PubMed, CBM, VIP, CNKI and WanFang Data. A me-ta-analysis was performed to analyze correlation between depression and interleukin-6 using RevMan 5.2.8 software. Results A total of 9 studies were recruited, involving 432 depression patients and 277 healthy controls. The results of meta-analysis showed that concentration of IL-6 was higher in depression patients than in healthy controls(SMD=1.48, 95%CI:0.78~2.18,P<0.05). Subgroup analysis in the first-episode subgroup and the non first-episode subgroup showed that concentration of interleukin-6 was higher in depression patients than that in controls [the first-episode subgroup (SMD=1.94,95%CI:0.07~3.81,P<0.05), the non first-episode subgroup (SMD=1.26,95%CI:0.60~1.93,P<0.05)]. Conclusion There is a good correlation between depression and the serum IL-6 concentration. Due to the small number of studies and heterogeneity in different studies, the present meta-analysis has not yet confirmed the quantitative correla-tion between IL-6 and depression.

Chinese Medical Journal 1998;111(7):656-659
Objective To study if visco-supplementation therapy is useful to the internal derangement (ID) of temporomandibular joint (TMJ).Methods Sixty-three ID cases (69 TMJs) were studied by visco-supplementation therapy. The upper and/or lower articular cavities were irrigated with 5 ml normal saline and injected 0.3-1.0 ml 1% hyaluronate (HA) into articular cavity. If the symptoms of the disease still existed one week later, the therapy should be repeated for 1-2 times, once a week. The control group cases were injected 1 ml 2% lidocaine instead of HA. 8 other TMJs of 6 ID cases and 2 normal cadavers were studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and light microscopy (LM).Results The visco-supplement therapy was useful to ID patients. The difference between the test group and control group had statistical significance (χ2=6.6535, P<0.01). SEM and LM showed that the condyle, disc and bilaminar region in ID were degenerated or destroyed. Conclusions The friction between the articular surfaces in ID was increased and the bilaminar region could not retract the disc as in healthy TMJ. The visco-supplementation therapy can decrease the friction and resume the normal rheology of the diseased TMJs.
