Objective To search for the most appropriate subzero nonfreezing temperature, and explore the effect of subzero nonfreezing preservation of rat kidney by comparing with the kidney preservation with conventional temperature (4 ℃,0 ℃) and freezing temperature (-4 ℃).Method The thermocouple probeand the temperature data logging device were used to detect the temperature decreasing curves in different parts of the rat kidney and determine the freezing point of the kidney. The perfused kidneys in rats were removed and put into the sterile tubes containing 2.5 mL hypertonic citrate adenine.Following 6 group were set up:-0.8 ℃ group (subzero nonfreezing),-0.5 ℃group (subzero nonfreezing),0 ℃ group (zero nonfreezing),-4 ℃ group (control group),-1 ℃group(subzero freezing)、-4 ℃ group (subzero freezing). After the cryopreservation for 24 and 48 h,the preservative fluid was harvested for measurement of the contents of LDH and AST,and the paraffin sections from the upper pole of the kidney were made for observation of the pathological changes and apoptosis.Result The freezing temperature of kidney was-1℃ and the most appropriate subzero nonfreezing temperature for preserving the rat kidney was-0.8 ℃.Subzero nonfreezing significantly inhibited the basal metabolic rate of the histiocytes, reduced the contents of LDH and AST released due to the membrane damage, and decreased the apoptosis rate [48 h:-0.8 ℃ (40.1 ± 7.0) % vs.4 ℃ (47.1 ± 7.6) %].Under the light microscope after preservation for 48 h,the pathological changes in-0.8 ℃ group were less than in 4 ℃ group. Conclusion Compared with the organ preservation in conventional temperature (0 ℃-4 ℃),the subzero nonfreezing (-0.8 ℃) can further inhibit the basal metabolic rate of histocytes obviously, reduce its energy consumption, and lower the apoptosis caused by low temperature damage.

Around the world, the supply of health services faces challenges, especially in developing nations that suffer from inadequate infrastructure and aging equipment, frequent shortages of medicine and supplies, and low capacity and efficiency of primary health care. At present, more and more governments adopt public-private partner-ships to achieve public policy goals. Among those, Brazil, South Africa, and India have made greater achievements in changing the roles of local government, increasing the supply of primary health care and health care quality, pro-moting health care equality, meeting the needs of multi-level medical services, and promoting health capabilities by using public-private partnerships. This paper provides an overview of public-private partnership practices in the three countries, discusses their reform experiences, and concludes with implications which may be helpful for promoting and scaling up PPP in primary health care in China.

Abstract: Objective To understand the contamination status, drug resistance, virulence gene carrying status, and molecular typing characteristics of Vibrio parahaemolyticus (VP) in aquatic products sold in Nanchang City. Methods A total of 170 commercial crayfishes, freshwater fish frogs and related smears samples were collected from various farmers' markets in Nanchang from March to September 2021. The strains of V. parahaemolyticus were detected and isolated from the samples. Antibiotic resistance test, virulence gene test, and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) molecular typing analysis were carried out. Results Among the collected samples, V.parahaemolyticus was only isolated from crayfish and crayfish smear samples, with a total of 35 strains of VP isolated. No V.parahaemolyticus strain was isolated from other freshwater fish, frogs, and their smear samples. Among the 17 common antibiotics tested, only two trains showed resistance to ampicillin, and one strain to streptomycin, , and all were sensitive to other antibiotics; all 35 strains of V. parahaemolyticus carried the gene, but only one strain carried the heat-resistant related hemolysin gene trh, and no direct heat-resistant hemolysin gene tdh positive strain was found; PFGE pattern clustering showed that there was no strain with the same PFGE pattern, and there was no obvious dominant cluster among these strains, and their genetic relationship was relatively distant. Conclusions The contamination of V. parahaemolyticus in small and medium-sized crayfish sold in the market in Nanchang City is relatively serious. The V. parahaemolyticus isolates in these polluted crayfish generally do not carry key virulence genes such as tdh, are sensitive to common antibiotics, and only have low-level resistance to ampicillin and streptomycin. PFGE pattern clustering showed that V. parahaemolyticus does not have no obvious dominant cluster, and these strains have rich genetic diversity, indicating that they may have different sources.

Objective To investigate the existence of neglect and explore the relationship between spacial attentional deficits and hemisphere in patients with schizophrenia. Methods 51 schizophrenic patients and 55 healthy controls were measured with line bisection test and number bisection test、 Results In the Line Bisection Test, shcizophrenic patients group showed a negative deviation, in which the 2cm line( -0.03 ± 0. 74 )% and mean ( - 0. 02 ± 0. 03 ) % deviation rates were more significantly leftward than that of the normals ( ( 0. 00 ±0.02 ) %, ( - 0.00 ± - 0.01 ) %, P < 0. 05 ) respectively. The mean deviation rates of the patients (P < 0. 01 ) and control groups (P < 0. 05 ) were also significantly leftward compared with zero value. In the number bisection test, schizophrenic patients group showed a negative deviation and a significant leftward bias on the interval 5 ( - 0.07 ±0.18)% ,7( -0.08 ±0.22)% and 9( -0.09 ±0.28)% ) than that of the normals(( -0.01 ±0.05)% ,(0.01± 0. 08 ) % and (0.00 ± 0.14 ) %, P < 0.05 respectively). Conclusion Schizophrenic patients have a right-neglect, suggesting that spacial attentional deficits exist, and it may be related to the left cerebral hemisphere dysfunction.

Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2015;31(2):111-114
OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of paraquat (PQ) on reactive oxygen species (ROS) and neutrophil apoptosis and its possible signal transduction pathways.
METHODSCultured neutrophils were treated with different concentrations of PQ for 6-24 h. The apoptosis rate of neutrophils and ROS content were determined by flow cytometry. The exoressions of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and Caspase 3 were detected by Western blot. These parameters were checked again after NF-κB and Caspase 3 antagonist were applied.
RESULTSPQ could boost ROS generation and depress neutrophil apoptosis significantly. At the same time PQ could enhance the expression of NF-κB and inhibit the expression of Caspase 3. These effects could be reversed by ROS inhibitor diphenyleneiodonium (DPI) and NF-κB inhibitor pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDTC).
CONCLUSIONPQ is a potent inducer of ROS and can inhibit neutrophil apoptosis by activating NF-κB and surpressing Caspase 3 activity.
