OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formulation of indomethacin-loading solid lipid nanoparticle(SLN). METHODS:Us-ing indomethacin as model drug, glyceryl behenate as oil phase, poloxamer 188 and polyethylene glycol-12-hydroxystearic acid as emulsifier, with turbidity, entrapment efficiency and drug loading amount as index,Box-Behnken response surface methodology was used to optimize the amount of oil phase,emulsifier-oil phase ratio,drug-oil phase ratio. The physicochemical properties of SLNs were characterized by SEM and DSC. RESULTS:The optimal formulation was as follows as oil phase of 0.91%,emulsifier-oil ratio of 1∶1,drug-oil phase ratio of 1∶5. The turbidity, entrapment efficiency and drug loading amount of prepared nanoparticle were 1 025-1 030 NTU,98.94%-99.08%,2.43%-2.46%,respectively;particle size and polydispersity index(PDI)were 181.5-182.3 nm and 0.340-0.341(n=3). The results of DSC showed that indomethacin was not present in crystalline state dispersed into SLNs. CONCLUSIONS:The optimal formulation is screened successfully, and indomethacin-loaded SLNs have been prepared.

4.Tenascin(TN) expressions and its effect in salivary gland tumor
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(06):-
Objective:To detect tenascin(TN) expressions and its effect in salivary gland tumor. Methods:The expressions of TN was examined in 8 chronic inflammations of salivary glands, 50 benign adenomas and 57 malign adenomas by Envision immunohistochemical technique. Results:Expression level of TN in the malign adenomas was higher than that in benign adenoma and chronic sialadenitis; higher in low differentiation than that in high differentiation and higher in lymphatic metastasis groups than that without lymphatic metastasis groups. No obviously difference was found between soakage inside the blood vessel and nerves and without soakage. Conclusion: TN might regulate cell attachment of epithelial cells in adenomas, and involve in adenomas' histogenesis and development.

Objective To evaluate the effect of subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery(SEPS) for the(treatment) of recurrent venous ulcer. Methods SEPS Was preformed on 56 limbs with recurrent venous(ulcer),and ulcer healing was assessed at follow up.Results Fifty-five limb ulcers healed in 10~49 days, one limb ulcer was not healed after 90 days, but healed after ligation of lesser saphenous vein. The patients were followed up for 1 to 3 years,1 case recurred after 6 months and it healed with antibiotic treatment;2 cases recurred after 18 months, and both healed after high ligation of lesser saphenous vein. Conclusions SEPS is effective and safe in the treatment of recurrent venous ulcer.SEPS is minitraumatic with few(complications).
7.Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic models of anti-tumor agents in xenograft mice: historical review, recent advances, and application in drug development
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2020;55(11):2580-2594
Xenograft mice are preclinical animal models of tumors and are widely utilized in anti-tumor research. PK/PD modeling of anti-tumor agents is an approach that can capture the time profile of the "dose-plasma concentration-biomarker level-tumor volume" process based on experimental data from xenograft mice using a non-linear mixed-effect model. PK/PD modeling can help optimize the dosing regimen for anti-tumor therapy, evaluate any synergistic effect and help identify an optimal schedule for combination therapy, as well as providing a preliminary estimate of a drug's efficacy and anti-tumor potency in the human body. PK/PD modeling can also help by quantitatively explaining the mechanism of the tumor-inhibitory effect as indicated by changes in biomarker levels after a drug acts on its target. This article provides a systematic summary of the background, application range, and limitations of the mainstream anti-tumor agent PK/PD models. Recent advances in model structure development are reviewed in detail. Finally, we discuss promising applications of PK/PD models in anti-tumor medicine development from the perspective of a drug's mechanism of action, optimization of combination therapy schedules, and their clinical translation.
9.Psychological and Physical Impact of the Haze Amongst a Malaysian Community
Malaysian Journal of Health Sciences 2008;6(2):23-34
A total of 306 Malaysian university students and staff were surveyed to ascertain the physical and emotional effects of the polluted haze on them. All
subjects completed self-reported questionnaires. Analysis of the results indicated that the majority of subjects reduced their outdoor activities and
sports, and also reported an increase in emotional and physical health problems. The results indicated that there was a general increase in emotional
problems such as feeling depressed, lacking in energy, not feeling like doing anything, feeling anxious and afraid, difficulty sleeping, feeling agitated
and irritable, and having no appetite. There was also an increase in physical symptoms such as itchy or red eyes, itchy or running nose, dry throat/cough,
headaches, nausea, and fever. This study indicated that emotional and behavioural problems are just as common during the haze, when compared with physical health problems. The study also suggests that there are a broad
range of problems which health care and human resource departments need to be aware of and take precautions to minimize during a haze.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;30(9):989-996
As a member of growth arrest and DNA damage inducible gene family,GADD45αparticipats in the regulation of cell cycle, cell senescence, cell survival and apoptosis. GADD45αplays a critical role in the responses to cell injury induced by a variety of factors including cell stress and genotoxic chemicals. Different transcription factors and proteins are involved in transcriptional regulation of GADD45αgene. GADD45αprotein has been implicated in the regulation of genomic stability related cellular responses through interaction with other proteins. Genotoxicity test systems based on the char?acteristics of GADD45α in regulation of cell function, can be applied to the detection of potentially genotoxic compounds, which provides new ideas and methods about genotoxicity assessment. The molecular mechanism and research progress of GADD45α in genotoxicity test are summarized in this article.
