1.Progress and hot topics in clinical management of desmoid tumor
China Oncology 2010;20(3):227-231
Desmoid tumor also known as aggressive fibromatosis, are rare fibroblastic tumors which are derived from deep fascia planes or muscuofascia structures.Resectable extra-abdominal and abdominal desmoid tumor should always be treated with the aim of achieving a negative margin through wide radical resection with margins above 2 cm.Ifthis is not feasible,function-sparing surgical resection is suggested.Adjuvant radiation should be considered for patients with positive margins, recirrent tumors or unresectable diseases.Intra-abdominal desmoid tumor is common in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis. It has a high recurring rate after surgical resection and therefore a high dosage of tamoxifen and sulindac are recommended as first-line treatment.Due to the variable nature of the outcome and vague reaction to drug therapy, individualized treatments, including the wait and see policy, has been widely investigated and thought to be a promising strategy for the future.
2.Determination of Sulfuric Acid Mist in Air by Ion Chromatography
Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(12):-
Objective To develop a quick, simple and sensitive method for determination of sulfuric acid mist in the air by ion chromatography. Methods The samples were collected by Nillipore filter, Na2CO3-NaHCO3 solution was used and the samples were analyzed by using ion-chromatography as well as external standard curve. Results The linear range of the method was 0.5-10.0 ?g/ml and the correlation coefficient was 0.999 8. The RSD for the test accuracy and variation of repeat tests within one day or between the different days was

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(2):248-251
OBJECTIVE: To review the outcomes of experiments about vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and the effect of it on bone formation, and to make sure whether VEGF can promote bone formation or not.DATA SOURCES: Electronic data searches were performed to obtain data from the databases of http://www.ncbi. nlm. nih. gov/pubmed and http://www. zglckf.com. DATA SELECZION: Nearly 30 articles about VEGF and the role of VEGF affecting bone formation were selected, regardless of the randomized design, blind method involved in or not.DATA EXTRACTION: These researches proved the structures, biologic properties and expression of VEGF and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR), and showed that VEGF plays an important role in endochondral ossification by promoting angiogenesis, bone turnover and preventing apoptosis of chondrocyte. In intramembranous ossification, absence of cartilage, osteoblasts are likely producing, and responding to, VEGF. VEGF also acts to recruit and activate osteoclasts as well as stimulate osteoblast chemotaxis, differentiation and matrix mineralization. It is debatable whether local application of exogenous VEGF can promote bone repair or not. However, in certain situation such as ischemia, the increase of VEGF locally may promote bone repair.DATA SYNTHESIS: Compared with the control group, VEGF can promote osteogenesis, bone formation and remodeling through the effect of VEGF on endochondral ossification and intramembranous ossification.CONCLUSION: One possible advantage of local VEGF therapy may be its ability to couple angiogenesis with bone formation and remodeling. If we can ultimately apply VEGF to treat osteonecrosis, bone defect and nonunion, we will find a new therapy for these diseases.

Objective To evaluate the effect of laparoscopy in treatment of renal cysts. Methods Twenty- eight and thirty-five patients with renal cysts were performed with transperituneal and retroperitonel laparoscopy,re- spectively. Results A total of 62 patients were treated successfully, the average operation time was 60 minutes,no complications presented, and there was no recurrence in follow-up.Conclusion Laparoseopy survey had the advan- tages of less trauma and fewer complications and rapid recovery in treatment of renal cysts, which was suggested for clinical applications.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effort of MHA-bBMP implantation combined with limited contacted titanium net duct fixation on femoral shaft bone defect of rabbit.Methods48 rabbits were divided into the experimental group (treated with bionic bone MHA-bBMP plus titanium net duck) and control group (treated with iliac autograft plus titanium net duct) with 24 animals in each group. The rabbit femoral shaft bone defect model was established by cutting 10 mm bone fragment off. After operation, bionic bone MHA-bBMP/iliac autograft was implanted into bone defect area and fixed with limited contacted titanium net duck. The general condition, serum alkaline phosphatase, X-ray, histopathologic examination and electron microscope were performed.ResultsThe fixation stability of titanium net duck in two groups was good. The bone defect of two groups was repaired. The results of phosphatase, X-ray, histopathologic examination and electron microscope of two groups were not significantly different.ConclusionBionic bone MHA-bBMP is a high bioactivity substitute, and can obtain therapeutic effect equal to iliac autograft when repairing rabbit's femoral shaft defect.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(2):161-164
OBJECTIVETo report a case of simple congenital bilateral ejaculatory duct absence (EDA) complicated with seminal vesicle cyst and review the relevant literature in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
METHODSWe retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of a case of bilateral congenital EDA complicated with seminal vesicle cyst, reviewed the relevant literature at home and abroad, and comprehensively analyzed the embryonic development, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital EDA.
RESULTSThe patient was a 23-year-old man, present at the clinic for infertility after married for a year. Vasography and other imaging examinations confirmed simple congenital bilateral EDA complicated with seminal vesicle cyst. Pathologic biopsy showed normal spermatogenic function of the testes.
CONCLUSIONCongenital EDA originates from embryonic developmental defect of the mesonephric duct, and it can be confirmed by vasography. Transurethral incision of the ejaculatory duct and intracytoplasmic sperm injection can be employed for the treatment of bilateral EDA.
