Objective To evaluate the prognostic value of iASPP for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).Methods One hundred and thirty patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were initially diagnosed and treated between January and December 2012 in Department of Radiation Oncology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University.The clinical staging was classified according to the cancer staging criteria 2009 AJCC/UICC.All patients were treated by IMRT.Cisplatin-based concurrent chemotherapy was given to patients with stages Ⅲ-ⅣB disease.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of iASPP in the carcinoma tissues,and the clinicopathological features were compared among the patients with different expressions of iASPP.Furthermore,the relationship between the expression of iASPP and the efficacy in patients was explored.Results Of 130 patients,positive expression of iASPP was observed in 86 patients (66.2％),and negative expression in 44 patients (33.8％).There was significant difference in the positive expression rate of iASPP among the patients with different N-stage and clinical stages(x2 =7.565,4.947,P ＜ 0.01).At three months after treatment,no significant difference was found in the response rate of tumor with different expression of iASPP.In univariate analysis,the expression of iASPP was significant predictor of 3 year-DMFS (x2 =4.335,P =0.037) and PFS (x2 =6.640,P =0.01).Furthermore,N-stage was significant predictor of 3y-DMFS (x2 =8.058,P =0.005),PFS (x2 =9.554,P =0.002) and OS (x2 =6.987,P =0.008),respectively.By using multivariate Cox analysis,the expression of iASPP and N-stage was independent prognostic factors for PFS (x2 =4.336,5.228,P ＜ 0.05),respectively.Conclusions Positive expression of iASPP may be a poor prognostic factor for NPC patients.

Objective:To investigate the sensitivity of novel small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors NXGH and NXGF to 4 lung cancer cell lines with different EGFR expression and mutant status.Methods:Novel small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors NXGH and NXGF based on NXG structure were designed.Four lung cancer cell lines with different EGFR expression and mutation status:PC9(Exon 19 deletion mutation),H1975(L858R mutation combined T790M mutation),H358(wide EGFR expression) and H520(EGFR negative expression) were chosen.Inhibition ratio of NXGH and NXGF at different concentration (1.25,2.5,5.0,10,20,30,40,60,80 μmoL·L-1)against 4 lung cancer cell lines in 48 h were investigated by MTT method.IC50 and cell viability were calculated,and sensitivity between different cell lines were compared.Results:IC50 of PC9,H358,520 and H1975 cells incubated with NXGH were 0.675 μ moL·L-1,12.097 μmoL·L-1,11.368 μmoL·L-1 and 0.981 μmoL·L-1,respectively.IC50 of PC9 and H1975 were less than H358 and H520 when the concentration was 1.25,2.5 and 5 μmoL ·L-1 (P＜0.05).IC50 of PC9,H358,H520 and H1975 cells incubated with NXGF were0.685 μmoL·L-1,4.265 μmoL·L-1,3.097 μmoL·L-1 and 0.331 μmoL·L-1,respectively.IC50 of PC9 and H1975 were less than H358 and H520 when the concentration was 1.25 and 5 μmoL·L-1 (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The novel small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors NXGH and NXGF,which were designed and constructed in our laboratory successfully,had high affinity for lung cancer cells with different EGFR expression and mutation status.And they were more sensitive to EGFR mutant cell at low concentration as expected.

Objective To explore a new surgical treatment for severe inverted nipple and to reduce the possibility of recurrence. Methods Two opposite long six-side polygon de-epithelialized areas were designed within the range of areola on both sides of the nipple. The four sides in lateral portion were dissected and two wedge-shaped dermal and glandular tissue flaps were created, completely releasing the contractive fiber causing nipple retraction while reserving breast ducts. The flaps were reversed 180 degrees through the tunnel bilateral sides of breast ducts to support the nipple. It was tracted for 3-4 weeks by series 7 needle penetrating the nipple basis. Results All the 14 patients were followed up for 3-18 months, and they were satisfied with the appearance and the aesthesia of the nipple and no recurrence was observed, breast-feed function reserved in 2 cases after childbirth. Conclusions This operation is easy to perform with satisfying aesthetic outcome and breast-feed function remaining.It is an ideal method for correcting serious inverted nipple.

Objective To develop a quick quantitative detecting method for point of care testing (POCT) of human serum procalcitonin (PCT) by fluorescence immunochromatographic technology.Methods Applying a double-antibody sandwich immunofluorescent assay (one antibody coated on the nitrocellulose membrane and the other antibody labeled with fluorescent micropaticles) to develop a PCT quantitative detecting kit by immunochromatography technology.The kit was used to test PCT in 472 serum samples from suspected bacterial infection patients of Guangzhou Red Cross Hospital,including 240 male and 232 female patients.The methodology and diagnostic performance were evaluated in the aspects of linearity,precision,accuracy,specificity,stability experiments and comparison with foreign PCT detecting kits.Results The report range of the PCT quantitative diagnostic kit was 0.1-125.0 μg/L The coefficient of variation (CV)values of repeat 20 tests for low,median,and high concentration control samples respectively were all less than 15％ and bias can be acceptable (P ＞ 0.05).Common interfering substances in human serum specimens such as bilirubin (2.0 g/L),triglyceride (30.0 g/L) and cholesterol (15.0 g/L) were found no significant affect on quantitative detection of PCT.The shelf time of the PCT diagnostic kit should be longer than 12 months as the relative deviation of detected concentrations of 0.5,1.0,22.0,65.0 μg/L PCTcontrol sample can be controlled less than 20％ within 14 months.Considering VIDAS BRAHMS PCT to be the standard quantitative test for PCT,472 serum samples were detected by both our kit and the control VIDAS BRAHMS PCT kit simultaneously,which showed high correlation (YVIDAS =0.180 + 1.006Xwondfo,R2 =0.988,P ＜ 0.01) and low deviation (Z =-1.6,P ＞ 0.05) without statistic significance between two methods.And the results of these two diagnostic kits showed good consistency as the area under curve of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) of Wondfo-PCT at the three cut-off values (0.5,2.0,10.0 μg/L)were 0.997,0.994,0.998 respectively,P ＜ 0.01,using diagnostic result of the control product as standard.Kappa values were 0.899,0.905,0.973 respectively.Conclusions The method of quantitative detection of PCT by fluorescence immunochromatography for POCT was established in this study.All the observed indicators reached the clinical diagnostic requirements and can be applied for the quick detection of clinical human serum PCT.

Objective To measure the expressions of IL-10, IL-23 and CD86 in lesions of epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV), and to explore the relationship between cellular immune abnormality and EV pathogenesis. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the expressions of IL-10, IL-23 and CD86 in tissue samples from 10 patients with EV and 10 normal human controls. Results Three cytokines were observed in all the samples of EV, with the expression score ranging from 3 to 6 and expression intensity from moderate to high. However, of the control specimens, only 1 was positive for IL-10 with the expression score being 3, and expression intensity being moderate. Conclusion The pathogenesis of epidermodysplasia verruciformis may be correlated with the expression abnormality of some cytokines secreted by keratinocytes.

Objective To explore the cognitive function of the theory of mind(TOM) in early-onset schizophrenia from faux pas recognition and belief understanding dimensions.Methods 41 early-onset schizophrenias (EOS) and 40 normal adolescents were interviewed by the Chinese version of faux pas recognition task and theory of mind picture-sequencing task(ToM-PST),then early-onset schizophrenias cognitive features were analyzed.Results ①In faux pas recognition task,compared with healthy subjects,EOS showed significantly less total scores (16.11±6.34 vs 20.86±7.79,P＜0.05)and subscores of understanding faux pas questions (9.88±4.11 vs 13.27± 6.07,P＜0.05).In faux pas recognition scores(6.72±2.60vs 7.58±2.20) and control questions(9.83±0.44vs 9.97± 0.16) had no statistically significant difference (P＞0.05).②In ToM-PST task,early-onset schizophrenic patients also had significantly less total score(17.29±3.38 vs 21.48± 1.73,P＜0.01),subscores of understanding first order belief,first order error belief,second order belief,second order error belief,third order error belief,sense of reality,reciprocity,fraud,detecting fraud compared to normal controls had significant difference (all P＜ 0.05 or 0.01).③ The correlation between clinical course time and PANSS score and its subscores of the theory of mind picture-sequencing and faux pas task was non-significant(P＞0.05)except the subscores of understanding the first order belief (P＜0.01).Conclusion The theory of mind is apparent damage in early onset schizophrenia and non-significant correlation is found with psychiatric symptoms.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of butylphthalide on elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction and its effect on serum uric acid,c-reactive protein,and hemorheology.Methods Elderly patients (86 cases) with acute cerebral infarction in Xi'an No.1 Hospital from January 2015 to December 2015 were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was treated with conventional symptomatic treatment of acute cerebral infarction,observation group added with butylphthalide soft capsules.The NIHSS score and efficacy of the two groups,the serum uric acid,c-reactive protein,and the change of hemorheology before and after treatment were compared.Results The effective rate of observation group was 90.70％,significantly higher than that of control group 72.09％ (P ＜ 0.05);The NIHSS score,serum uric acid and c-reactive protein levels,blood viscosity and platelet aggregation rate of two groups after treatment were significantly lower (P ＜ 0.05),the Barthel index were significantly increased (P ＜ 0.05),and the change of observation group were more significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Butylphthalide has high curative effect on elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction,can reduce the level of serum uric acid,c-reactive protein and the degree of nerve function defect,improve the hemorheology and life self-care activities ability,which can protect the brain.

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) protects the brain against unwanted substances, while, at the same time, limits the transport of many drugs into the brain. Aromatic refreshing traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can induce resuscitation and modify the permeability of BBB, promoting other drugs entering into the brain with brain protection effect. This paper mainly reviews the research progress in regulation effects and mechanism of usual aromatic refreshing TCM, such as borneol, moschus, styrax, benzoinum and Tatarinow Sweetflag Rhizome, on BBB permeability. To broaden the application of these drugs in modern pharmaceutics in the future, the relatively research should emphasis on combining aromatic refreshing TCM with new formulations and technologies in pharmaceutics, providing novel promising strategies for brain diseases therapy.

Objective To investigate the characteristics and plausible mechanisms of attention network impairments in hyperthyroid patients.Methods 34 hypertyroid patients and 33 normal controls performed the attention network test (ANT),which was used for assessing three components of attentional networks including alerting,orienting,and executive control.Results The mean scores for alerting and orienting networks were significantly shorter (P ＜ 0.01) in hyperthyroid patients (respectively,(20.00 ± 22.47) ms,(35.26 ± 22.65) ms)than those in normal controls (respectively,(35.70 ± 17.62) ms,(50.61 ± 23.66) ms).The mean reaction time for executive control network was significantly longer(P ＜ 0.01) in hyperthyroid patients((116.71 ± 40.36)ms)than those in controls ((93.00 ± 29.34)ms).Triiodothyronine(T3) and thyroxine(T4) were positively correlated with the scores for executive control network (respectively,r=0.350,P＜ 0.05; r=0.417,P＜ 0.05) in hyperthyroid patients,whereas no relationship was found between thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH) and the value of executive control network.T3,T4 and TSH were not correlated with the value of alerting and orienting network in hyperthyroid patients.Conclusion Hypertyroid patients have extensive impairments in various kinds of attentional network,rather than a specific deficit.The recession of executive control network accompanies with enhancement of serum levels of T3,T4 in hyperthyroid patients.
