ObjectiveTo study the value of plasma corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and the fetal fibronectin (fFN) in vaginal secretions and cervical length in predicting preterm labor.MethodsThe plasma CRH levels and fFN levels in vaginal secretions from 24 -37 weeks pregnant woman checked up in our hospital from Dec.2009 to Dec.2010 were detected by ELLISA method. The changes of these three indexes were observed with the pregnant time and were analyzed according to different pregnancy outcomes. Results Among the 112 cases of pregnant women, premature delivery in 54 cases,full-term birth 58 cases. At the 24 week of pregnancy, there were significant difference on the cervical length( [2.8 ±0.4]cm vs [3.3 ±0.5]cm,t =3.254,P =0.021 ) between premature delivery group and full-term birth group. At the 28 - 30 week,31 -32 week,33 - 34 week,35 - 36 week, the CRH were ( 162.33 ± 16.49 ) ng/L,(60.01:±: 14.56) ng/L;(352.12 ±61.01 )ng/L,( 118.04 ±53.74)ng/L; (364.55 ±56.71 )ng/L,( 122.95 ±71.41 )ng/L; (372.78 ±149.89)ng/L,(124.00 ± 19.05 )ng/L respectively in premature delivery group and full-term birth group, and there were significant differences on CRH at the four different pregnant time(t =3.687,6.875,8.652,8.524,respectively,P < 0.05 ).It shows better sensitivity ( 97.92% ),specificity ( 90.00% ),positive predictive value(95.92% ) and negative predictive value(94.73% ) in predicting premature delivery by detection of CRH,fFN combined with cervical length.ConclusionDetection of plasma CRH,fFN combined with cervix length measurement can improve the predictability of premature and provide a good, reliable clinical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment for preterm premature.

OBJECTIVE:
To examine the location, extent and cause of collapsed airway in Müller maneuver in OSAHS patients with CT scan, and provide the evidence for surgery.
METHOD:
Thirty patients with moderate or severe OSAHS were measured with 64 slice CT in quiet breathing and in Müller maneuver. After three-dimensional reconstruction and virtual endoscope handing of the upper airway, we compare the cross-section area and the dimensions of five levels as well as the thickness of retropharyngeal and lateral pharyngeal tissue in two conditions. The evaluation values include the length and thickness of soft palate and uvula, soft-hard palate angle and hyoid hard palate distance.
RESULT:
The lateral distance, anterior - posterior distance, cross - sectional area, but AP of RG and EPG region, were statistically different in quiet breathing and in Müller maneuver. The thickness of retropharyngeal and lateral pharyngeal tissue were statistically different in two conditions, and the length and thickness of soft plate and uvula, soft-hard angle and hyoid hard palate distance were statistically different.
CONCLUSION
Three-dimensional reconstruction and virtual endoscope of 64 slice CT can clearly show the location, extent and cause of occlusion of the upper airway, which helps well clinical application.

BACKGROUNDRecent researches discovered that artemisinin and its derivatives had anti-tumor activity. Dihydroartemisinin is one of the derivatives with higher activity. This study is to explore the effect of dihydroartemisinin on the proliferation of human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549, so as to provide experimental base for treatment of lung cancer.
METHODSInhibition of proliferation in vitro was measured by MTT assay. The cell growth curve was drawn according to cell counts. The population doubling time was counted in logarithmic growth phase, DNA contents were measured by flow cytometry. Cell cycles were observed at the same time after the treatment. And the nude mice bearing A549 cancer cells were applied to detect the effect of dihydroartemisinin in vivo.
RESULTSDihydroartemisinin inhibited A549 cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner, after 96h of treatment, the IC50 for dihydroartemisinin inhibition of cell number was 0.23μmol/l. The population doubling time for human lung adenocarcinma in the control group was 21.3h and that in the dihydroartemisinin group was 38.5h . An highly significant difference was observed between the two groups (P < 0.01). Cells in G0 plus G1 were increased after the dihydroartemisinin treatment. The tumor inhibiting rate of dihydroartemisinin was 54.3% in vivo.
CONCLUSIONSDihydroartemisinin has marked anticancer activity on human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549 both in vitro and in vivo. The inhibition in vitro is related to blockade of G0 and G1 phases.

This study explores the application of animation in medical teaching. On the one hand, the status quo of the application of animation in medical teaching was analyzed by conducting questionnaire survey for the effect of animation-enhanced teaching of the biology course; on the other hand, new animations were made by the researchers to analyze its effect on the students' self-study. The results showed that the scores of the students receiving text and teaching animation resources were significantly higher than that of students receiving only textual information in the learning process (P<0.01), and the same goes for the number of the students that complete the >75% of the learning content. The results showed that the teaching animation can improve the students' self-study performance and raise their interest in self-study.

Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer, including lung cancer. However, the exact underlying mechanism and therapeutic potential are largely unknown. Here we report that protein arginine methyltransferase 6 (PRMT6) is highly expressed in lung cancer and is required for cell metabolism, tumorigenicity, and cisplatin response of lung cancer. PRMT6 regulated the oxidative pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) flux and glycolysis pathway in human lung cancer by increasing the activity of 6-phospho-gluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) and α-enolase (ENO1). Furthermore, PRMT6 methylated R324 of 6PGD to enhancing its activity; while methylation at R9 and R372 of ENO1 promotes formation of active ENO1 dimers and 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PG) binding to ENO1, respectively. Lastly, targeting PRMT6 blocked the oxidative PPP flux, glycolysis pathway, and tumor growth, as well as enhanced the anti-tumor effects of cisplatin in lung cancer. Together, this study demonstrates that PRMT6 acts as a post-translational modification (PTM) regulator of glucose metabolism, which leads to the pathogenesis of lung cancer. It was proven that the PRMT6-6PGD/ENO1 regulatory axis is an important determinant of carcinogenesis and may become a promising cancer therapeutic strategy.
