Soil water is one of the most important components in hydrological cycle. The stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in soil water have been increasingly used in the ecological, environment and hydrological research. In view of different techniques for extracting soil water, there is significant difference in theδD andδ18 O composition. This paper presents a method for analyzing hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in soil water by using elemental analyzer and isotope ratio mass spectrometry with accelerated solvent extraction for sample pretreatment. The conditions are: extraction solvent: dichloromethane, temperature: 100 ℃, pressure of 10. 3 MPa, static time:10 min. The samples were extracted three times, and with cycle values of four, four and three, respectively. Comparing with the added water, the deuterium and oxygen isotope values in the extracted soil water enrich 2. 12‰-4. 58‰ and 0. 17‰-0. 93‰, respectively. The reproducibility of replicate extractions of soil water is around ±0. 89‰ for δD and ±0. 37‰ for δ18 O.

Objective To analyze the expression characteristics of excision repair cross-complementing 1 (ERCC1), topoisomeraseⅡ (TOPOⅡ), ribonucleotide reductase M1 (RRM1), β3-tubulin and thymidylate synthase (TS) in lung cancer and their associations with the pathological types. Methods The immunohistochemical EnVision method was used to determine the expression of ERCC1, TOPOⅡ, RRM1,β3-tubulin and TS in 548 patients who were diagnosed as lung cancer from January 2011 to December 2014. Variance analysis was performed to analyze their expression characteristics among different pathological types and correlation. Results The expression positive rates of ERCC1, TOPOⅡ, RRM1, β3-tubulin and TS were 61.86 % (339/548), 91.06 % (499/548), 62.59 % (343/548), 73.18 % (401/548) and 70.44 % (386/548), respectively. The expression of ERCC1 was weak positive mostly (P<0.05), meanwhile the expression of TOPOⅡ was medium-strong positive mostly (P<0.05). In ERCC1 group, the positive rate of squamous cell carcinoma was higher than that of adenocarcinoma [57.39 % (167/291) vs. 42.61 % (124/291), P=0.000]. In weak positive of TOPOⅡ group, the proportion of adenocarcinoma was higher than that of squamous cell carcinoma [23.58 % (100/137) vs. 8.73 % (37/137), P=0.000]. In medium-strong positive of TOPOⅡ group, the proportion of squamous cell carcinoma was higher than that of adenocarcinoma [47.41 % (201/287/) vs. 20.28%(86/287), P=0.000]. The expressions of ERCC1, TOPOⅡ, RRM1,β3-tubulin and TS were irrelevant (r=0.4, P=0.397). Conclusions The expressions of ERCC1 and TOPOⅡ are higher in squamous cell carcinoma than those in adenocarcinoma. The expression of ERCC1 is weak positive mostly, meanwhile the expression of TOPOⅡis medium-strong positive mostly. There is no correlation between them.

Objective To review the diagnosis and treatment of epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the kidney. Methods Five cases of epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the kidney were retrospectively analyzed in the aspects of imaging and pathologic characteristics. There were 3 males and 2 females with average age of 46 years (ranging from 26-64 years). There were 3 patients complained of pains of lumber. Two cases were found renal masses in routine physical examination. The mass diameter was 2.9-10. 1 cm. Two cases were diagnosed as angiomyolipoma and three as malignant tumors as kidney cancer, tumor of the adrenal gland or tumor of the liver with ultrasound and CT scan. Four of the 5cases accepted partial nephrectomy and 1 with radical nephrectomy. Results Epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the kidney was composed of abnormal thick parietal vessel, smooth muscle and adipose tissue in different proportional. The cytoplasm of epithelioid cells was acidophilia or lucency, which had acidophilia particles and abundant blood vessels. Epithelioid cells were round or polygon, surrounded to blood vessels, distributed in lipoid. The SMA, Vimentin and HMB45 were positive by immunohistochemisty. The post-operative histological diagnosis showed that all cases were epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the kidney. All patients were followed up for 2 to 12 months. No patients had locally recurrence or distant metastasis. Conclusions The diagnosis of epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the kidney relies on histopathology results. The immunohistochemical staining could be helpful for diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

Methods:
This retrospective analysis included a total of 155 patients who underwent single-level lumbar fusion, with 81 patients in the traditional group and 74 patients in the Wiltse group (less paraspinal muscle damage). QCT was used to measure the volumetric BMD (vBMD), Hounsfield unit value, and cross-sectional area of the paraspinal muscles at the upper instrumented vertebrae (UIV), vertebrae one segment above the UIV (UIV+1), and the vertebrae one segment above the UIV+1 (UIV+2). Statistical analyses were performed.
Results:
No significant differences in general data were observed between the two groups (p>0.05). Strong correlations were noted between the preoperative and 1-week postoperative vBMD of each segment (p<0.01), with no significant difference between the two time points in both groups (p>0.05). Vertebral BMD loss was significantly higher in UIV+1 and UIV+2 in the traditional group than in the Wiltse group (−13.6%±19.1% vs. −4.2%±16.5%, −10.8%±20.3% vs. −0.9%±37.0%; p<0.05). However, no statistically significant difference was observed in the percent vBMD changes in the UIV segment between the two groups (37.7%±70.1% vs. 36.1%±78.7%, p>0.05).
Conclusions
QCT can reliably determine BMD in the instrumented spine after lumbar interbody fusion. With QCT, we found that reducing paraspinal muscle destruction through the Wiltse approach during surgery can help preserve the adjacent vertebral BMD; however, it does not help increase the BMD in the instrumented vertebrae.

Objective:To understand the provision of preventive medicine curriculum system in the training programs of clinical medicine in the era of Healthy China. Methods:A total of 36 training programs of clinical medicine were selected from different areas of China for a statistical analysis on their basic information, involvement of concept of preventive medicine in program objectives, and provision of preventive medicine curriculum system. Results:Of all the 36 training programs of clinical medicine, 22(61%) have no mentions of prevention medicine in their program objectives; only one university’s training program states preventive medicine together with basic medicine and clinical medicine as one of the three main disciplines. The total class hours for the core courses of preventive medicine (hygiene, medical statistics, epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, and social medicine) range from 80 to 252, with an average of (156.7±43.2) hours. The average percentage of class hours for preventive medicine courses among the total class hours is 4.3%±1.1% (range: 2.5%-7.5%), and obvious differences exist among universities. Conclusions:In current training programs of clinical medicine, the proportion of prevention medicine curriculum is insufficient, the percentage of hours for preventive medicine course is very low, and the differences among various universities are obvious. It is urgently needed to strengthen preventive medicine curriculum in training programs for clinical medical students in new era. It is suggested to further promote the concept of putting prevention first, improve the curriculum system of clinical medicine, intensify the integrated development preventive medicine and clinical medicine and pay attention to clinical research ability enhancement for the further improvement of training program of clinical medicine.
