1.Treating cardiovascular disease in peri-menopausal period by theory of yin deficiency, blood stasis,heat-toxin
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(06):-
Cardiovascular disease in peri-menopausal period is a kind of climacteric syndrome which based on the symptoms of the cardiovascular system as the main manifestations. It is manifested as hypertension,pseudo-angina,arrhythmia. Hormone replacement therapy or symptomatic treatment is the common used method of modern medicine, although a certain degree of efficacy, but there are also significant disadvantages. In the treatment of cardiovascular disease in peri-menopausal period,TCM has certain advantages. In this paper,we treat cardiovascular disease in peri-menopausal period from the theory of 'yin deficiency, blood stasis,heat-toxin'and propose the method of 'nourishing yin, promoting blood circulation and detoxification'.

Clinical Medicine of China 2008;24(11):1168-1170
Objective To investigate the surgical approach of the reasonable radical resection for carcino-mas of pancreatic head. Method 35 of 110 patients with carcinomas of pancreatic head underwent the surgical ap-proach of the posterior aspect of the radical resection for carcinomas of pancreatic head, and histopathological findings and prognosis were analyzed. Results The rate of curative resection rate was 31.82%. 3 patients underwent pancre-atoduodenectomy with partial resection of SMV for 9 patients with macroscopic suspicion of invasion of the SMV. The survival rate of the 5 years was 17.14% and the patients exceed 10 years. Conclusion Surgical approach of the reasonable radical resection for carcinomas of pancreatic head allows the reasonable radical resection, and may lead to increasing the resectability rate and the prognosis in the patients with carcinomas of pancreatic head.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To study the relationship between the expression of ICAM-1,HLA-DR in the renal allograft of chronic rejection. Methods The expression of ICAM-1 and HLA-DR was assessed in 20 cadaveric renal allografts with chronic rejection using immunohistological techniqu(ABC method). Results In the renal allograft with chronic rejection, the expression of ICAM-1 was increased on the tubular epithelial cells and interstitial microvascullar endothelium, whereas the expression of HLA-DR was up-regulated,especially on the distal tubules. In addition, the expression of ICAM-1 and HLA-DR was associated with lymphcytes infiltration in the local perivascullar and intertubular structure. Conclusions It is suggested that the increased ICAM-1 and HLA-DR expressions might mediate allograft injury and have a role in the augmentation of the response, either in its induction, especially in the interstitial lymphocytes infiltration and antigen presenting or as a target for the effector arm of the reaction.

Objective To explore ihe physiological changes of the late-onset depressive(LOD) persons during sleep. Methods 15 cases of LOD patients formed a group and 10 healthy aging persons formed a control group.Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) was used to score the severity of depression and polysomnographic recorders were used to monitor the whole night long. The subjective feelings of the sleep and the daytime mental status were assessed in the morning. Results Compared with the controlde group, the LOD patients obviously possessed a disordered sleeping process: sleep efficiency was lower( ( 59.20 ± 2.90 ) %, ( 77.09 ± 1.55 ) %, P <0.01 ); their sleep latency was longer( (54.00 ± 4.97 ), ( 24.00 ± 2.91 ), P < 0.01 ); the numbers of rapid eye movement(REM) sleep phase and rapid eye movement latency(REML) were strikingly different(P<0.01 ).Compad with the control group, the LOD patients' awakening time and percent were significantly increased. Not only were the time and percentage of S2 sleep phase much higher, but the time of slow wave sleep was shorter.Besides,REM sleep activity, its density, and its intensity were raised (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion There is a disturbance of the objective physiological indexes happening among the LOD patients. The increase of S2 sleeping time and percentage and the disinhibition of REM sleep can be used as the diagnosis indexes of LOD patients' specificity.

Alzheimer's disease(AD)and Parkinson's disease(PD)are common neurodegenerative diseases that seriously threaten the health of the elderly, involving various abnormalities in physiology and metabolism including the impairment of mitochondrial function, Ca 2+ homeostasis deregulation, oxidative stress, aggregation of misfolded proteins, autophagy and inflammation. However, mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of these diseases have not been clearly elucidated, thus impeding advances in their treatment. In recent years, it has been found that mitochondria-associated endoplasmic reticulum membranes(MAM)play an important role in the development of AD and PD and exert their effects by regulating the functions of mitochondria and endoplasmic reticula. This article reviews studies of the past decade related to the effects of MAM on AD and PD, aiming to generate insights for exploring the constituent proteins of MAM and the molecular mechanisms of AD and PD via endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondria Ca 2+ transport and ER stress regulated by MAM.

AIM:To observe the effect on NF-?B pathway and cell motility in breast cancer cell lines after transfection of dominant negative I?B? plasmid.METHODS:After stable transfection of mutant I?B? plasmid into highly metastatic breast cancer lines MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-435,we detected NF-?B binding activity by EMSA,cell growth ability by cell growth curve, colony forming test, and cell motility by millicell-PCF chamber.RESULTS:Constitutive activities in MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-435 were observed.Stable transfection of a dominant negative Ⅰ?B? resulted in downregulation of NF-?B binding activity, thus inhibited cell mobility without significant effect on cell growth.CONCLUSION:Cell migration ability is inhibited in highly invasive breast cancer cells by inhibition of NF-?B pathway in vitro.
