2.Biological and biomechanical properties of reconstructing anterior cruciate ligament of knee joint
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(26):265-267
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the function of early exercises on healing of grafts after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and on motor function recovery of knee joint by summarizing biology and biomechanical properties of ACL reconstruction.DATA SOURCES: The relevant literatures on ACL reconstruction of knee joint and its biomechanical properties were looked up in period of MEDLINE1970-01/2004-01 on computer. Retrieval words: "anterior cruciate ligament, knee joint, biomechanics" only in English.STUDY SELECTION: In initial examination, the complete contents of literatures on ACL reconstruction of knee joint and its biomechanical properties were selected. The controlled papers were randomized, for those written by the same writer, the papers with the most cases were included.Comprehensive and Mete analyzed papers were excluded. Quality evaluation was mainly based on the reality of observed data and rigor of investigation and application.DATA EXTRACTION: Fourty-six papers on ACL reconstruction of knee joint and its biomechanical properties were looked up totally, of which, 29papers were tallied with inclusive criteria, 17 papers were excluded, 9 papers were the analysis on small samples and 8 papers referred to comprehensive and Meta analysis.DATA SYNTHESIS: By understanding biomechanical properties of normal ACL it is to implement reconstruction measures and plan for rehabilitation. Animal experiment after ACL reconstruction suggests that the motor function recovery of knee joint is not satisfactory, but the results of human experiment are superior to animal one. It is indicated in randomized control experiment that immediate weightbearing right after ACL reconstruction will not aggravate knee joint laxity; on the contrary, it is advantageous to alleviate patellar pain.CONCLUSION: Reconstruction of injured ACL fixes knee joints, limits peripheral muscle contraction and results in limited motor function of ligaments, joints and peripheral muscles. Early rehabilitation exercises may alleviate pain, improve articular cartilage metabolism, prevent capsule contracture and benefit recovery of motor function after ACL reconstruction of knee joint. In randomized comparisons of Bear[27], Fischer[28] and Beynnon[29],there is no difference between rehabilitation at home and in hospital after ACL reconstruction with bone-patellar-bone graft.
3.Current research of Zevalin and Bexxar in the field of radioimmunotherapy
Fudan University Journal of Medical Sciences 2009;36(6):786-788
Radioimmunotherapy using monoclonal antibodies incorporated with radionuclide has been showed to be an effective agent for refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Many anti-CD20 antibodies labeled with radionuclide, such as 90Y-ibritumomab tiuxetan (Zevalin) and 131I-tositumomab tiuxetan (Bexxar), have been reported to be effective for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory low-grade, follicular, or transformed NHL. This review summarizes the current advance in clinical trials and studies of Zevalin and Bexxar for the treatment of NHL patients.
4.Effects of exercise intervention on serum-related factors and immunity in a rat model of insulin resistance
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(27):4075-4082
BACKGROUND:Type 2 diabetic patients suffered from different levels of insulin resistance and insulin secretion defects. Retinol binding protein 4 is a fat derived factor found in the blood and is considered tobe an important target for the treatment of visceral obesity and insulin resistance.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the level of serum inflammatory cytokines and the changes of immune function in insulin resistance model rats after swimming.
METHODS:A total of28 8-week-old Sprague-Dawleymale ratmodels were randomly divided into swimming group and rest group. Rat received intraperitoneal injection with 3 μg/g recombinant serum retinol binding protein 4, twice a day, with an interval of 12 hours, for 6 weeks. At 6 weeks after administration, rats in the swimming group were subjected to swimming without loading for 6 weeks, 60 minutes per day. Serum retinol binding protein 4 levels were measured with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit. Insulin sensitivity (insulin resistance index) was assessed with homeostasis model assessment. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling method was used to mark the apoptotic cels in rat thymus. ELISA was used to detect serum interleukin-6 expression. ABC-ELISA was used to test Level of serum granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor. S-P One Step Method was used to test CD4 and CD8 activities in blood.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Interleukin-6 and granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor were significantly positively associated with insulin resistance index. The increase in insulin resistance index would induce the increase in the levels of serum inflammatory cytokine interleukin 6 and granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor, but exercises could decrease above levels. Thymus index, CD4, and CD4/CD8 were negatively associated with insulin resistance index. These results indicate that exercise intervention effectively improved immunity function of rats with insulin resistance and reduced insulin resistance index.

Objective To evaluate the effect of class 10000 laminar flow ward on the incidence of healthcare-asso-ciated infection (HAI)in patients with initial occurrence of acute leukemia during induction chemotherapy period. Methods Patients with initial occurrence of acute leukemia admitted to a hematological department of a hospital be-tween October 2013 and June 2014 were investigated retrospectively, patients in class 10000 laminar flow ward was as trial group,in general ward was as control group. All patients received standard induction chemotherapy and the same nursing measures, the incidence of HAI between two groups of patients, and ward air cleanliness were com-pared.Results A total of 79 patients with initial acute leukemia were received (trial group,n= 39;control group, n= 40). The average air cleanliness value in rooms and corridors of laminar flow wards were both significantly dif-ferent with general ward (3.57×106/m3 vs 149.36×106/m3 ,t= 45.80,P<0.001;24.46×106/m3 vs 15854.38 ×106/m3 ,t= 108.70,P<0.001). Incidence of HAI between trial group and control group was significantly differ-ent (23.08% [9/39]vs 45.00% [18/40],χ2= 4.219,P= 0.040). The main infection site in trial group was gastro-intestinal tract (n= 5 ),in control group was lower respiratory tract (n= 8 ). The duration of fever, duration and cost of antimicrobial use in trial group were (6.20±2.10)d,(9.35±2.12)d,and (27113.79±1559.03)yuan re-spectively,in control group were (10.20±2.90)d,(14.15±3.14)d,and (58566.29±2217.54)yuan respectively, difference in duration of fever and cost of antimicrobial use between two groups were all significant(t= 1.021, 1377.45,both P<0.05).Conclusion Laminar flow ward can reduce the incidence of HAI in patients with initial occurrence of acute leukemia, and decrease cost of antimicrobial use.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(10):1246-1250
Metabolomics is one of the branches of systems biology, which employs nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry technologies to detect the abnormal metabolites from a variety of body fluids. Study of various molecules and their functions may help to find the disease-related early metabolic marker clusters, understand the molecular mechanism of pathogenesis, which provides broad prospects for the early diagnosis and individualized treatment of malignant tumors.
