Objective To analyze the MRI features of intracranial ectopic germinomas compared with pathologic findings.Methods MRI manifestations of intracranial ectopic germinomas in 24 cases verified by operation and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.Results Tumors were located at suprasellar region in 5 cases,basal nucleus region in 6 cases,round lateral ventriculus in 2 cases,pellucid septum and lateral ventriculus in 1 case,3 cases suprasellar and pineal region in 3 cases,basal nucleus and pineal region in 3 cases,pineal region and round lateral ventriculus in 2 cases,lateral ventriculus,and third ventricles as well as pineal region in 2 cases.Lesions were showed marked enhancement in 22 cases and 10 cases had cystic degeneration on MRI.Pathologically,18 of 24 cases were seen clear border,cystic degeneration 11 cases,hemorrhage 2 cases and calcification 2 cases.Conclusion Intracranial ectopic germinomas are common in male children and are of MR characteristics,its MRI findings are correlated with pathology.

AIM: To observe clinical curative efficacy about Fushu Granule(Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Pollen Typhae,etc.) on extravasated-blood diseases such as women's lochia can't go or go but can't end,abdominal pain,menoxenia,dysmenorrhoea and amenorrhoea. OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the quality control of fushu granules.METHODS:Five main chinese crude drug angelica,chuanxiong,flos lonicerae,glycyrrhizae and astragali in the fushu granules were identificated by TCL;the content of ferulic acid was determined by HPLC.RESULTS:Ferulic acid showed a good linearity in a range of 0.02～0.10?g/ml(r=0.9 998),the average recovery rate was 96.9%,RSD=1.4%.CONCLUSION:This method has a good recurrence and could be used to control the quality of fushu granules.

Purpose To explore the CT features of renal cell carcinoma with cystic change and to compare them with pathological ifndings, so as to improve its diagnostic accuracy. Materials and Methods A retrospective study was carried out in 44 cases of renal cell carcinoma with cystic change conifrmed surgically and pathologically, among which 10 were multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma, 21 were renal clear cell carcinoma and 13 were papillary renal cell carcinoma. The CT features of these 3 kinds of diseases were analyzed comparatively. Results All of 10 cases of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma appeared to have multilocular cysts with thin cystic walls and septa. The mean CT value of cyst was (15.8±5.6) HU. The diameter of wall nodule was larger than 5 mm in 4 cases. The contrast-enhanced CT scan showed that the cystic walls and septa had early moderate enhancement in 8 cases. Among 21 cases of renal clear cell carcinoma, 9 presented to have multilocular cysts with thick cystic walls and septa. The mean CT value of cyst was (32.5±6.7) HU. The diameter of wall nodule was larger than 5 mm in 19 cases. The cystic walls and septa had obvious early enhancement in 20 cases. As to the 13 cases of papillary renal cell carcinoma, 4 appeared to have multilocular cysts with thick cystic walls and septa. The mean CT value of cyst was (26.1±5.6) HU. The diameter of wall nodule was larger than 5mm in 12 cases, and 12 cases appeared to have slight to moderate delayed enhancement. Conclusion The CT features of renal cell carcinoma with cystic change could be used in differential diagnosis, such as with or without pseudocapsule, mean CT value of cyst, thickness of cystic wall and septum, size, boundary, and enhancement of nodule.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of sympathetic skin response ( SSR) and P300 event-related potentials (ERP) in depression patients. Methods The SSRs and ERPs of 46 depressed patients and 42 normal healthy people were measured. Results Abnormal rates of SSR were observed in 84. 8% of the depressed group (39/46) and 78.3% (36/46) of the controls. Compared with those in the control group, the latency and amplitude of the SSRs were significantly longer and lower in the depressed group. Abnormal ERPs were observed in 89. 1% of the depressed group(41/46) compared with 78. 3% of the controls (36/46). The latency of N2 and P3 and the amplitude of P3 in the ERPs of the depressed patients were longer and lower in comparison with those in the control group. Hence there was a significant difference between two groups. There was a high positive correlation between N2 and P3 latency in the ERPs and the SSR readings in the depressed group, and between amplitude of P3 and SSR, while there was a significant negative correlation between latency and amplitude in the two indexes of P300 and SSR in the depressed group. In this study,Polygalae radix and its adulterants were identified by psbA-trnH sequence.The genomic DNA was extracted from forty-six samples, the psbA-trnH sequences were amplified and sequenced Bi-directionally, and then assembled sequences by Codoncode Aligner V 3.7.1. The genetic distances were computed by kimura 2-parameter (K2P) model, and the Neighbor-Joining tree was constructed by MEGA 6.0. Results showed that minimum intra-specific K2P distance of Polygala tenuifolia and Polygala sibirica were 0.004 and 0, which were smaller than the maximum intra-specific K2P. The NJ tree showed Polygalae radix can be distinguished from its adulterants by psbA-trnH sequences. Therefore, using psbA-trnH sequences can distinguish Polygalae radix from its adulterants.

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) mRNA in human trophoblast HTR-8/SVneo cells and the changes in indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) mRNA expression in response to TLR ligand stimulation.

METHODSThe expressions of TLRs and IDO mRNA in human HTR-8/SVneo cells were tested by RT-PCR, and the changes in IDO mRNA levels after exposure to TLR3, TLR4, TLR7/8, and TLR9 ligands were quantitatively analyzed with real-time PCR.

RESULTSIDO and TLR1-10 mRNAs were expressed in HTR-8/SVneo cells. As the cell culture time extended, IDO mRNA expression level tended to increase within 48 h. After stimulation with the TLR ligands, the expression of TLR-3 mRNA was down-regulated while the expression of TLR-4, 7, 8, and 9 mRNA up-regulated. Stimulation of the cells with poly(I:C) lowered the expression of IDO mRNA while IFN-γ increased its expression.

CONCLUSIONSThe expression of IDO mRNA is associated with the nutrition of the maternal-fetal interface. Stimulation with the TLR ligands affects the expression of IDO and TLR mRNA expressions in the cells, which verifies the functional activity of TLRs and suggests a role of IDO in TLR pathway-dependent antiviral immunity.

Objective: To analyze the mental health status and its impact factors among nurses, finding ways to improve the mental health of nurses. Methods: A total of 13 425 female healthcare workers aged from 18 to 65 were selected as study objects. The survey was conducted with unified design questionnaire. The survey included the basic situation of the individuals and SCL-90 questionnaire. Comparing the female doctors, the mental health status and its impact factors of nurses were analyzed. Results: The income, age, education and occupation, which include shift work, heavy work load and overtime work are different between nurses and doctors. The main mental health problems of nurses were obsessive-compulsive symptoms, depressive symptoms and somatization. The results of univariate analysis indicated that shift work, overtime work, and heavy work load affected the positive rate of each factor. The results of multivariate analysis showed that occupation, shift work, overtime work, and heavy work load have significant adverse effects on the positive rate of the total score in female healthcare workers (P<0.01) . The positive rate of each dimension of SCL-90 in nurses is significantly higher than that of doctors. Conclusion The mental health problems of nurses are significantly higher than doctors. The main reasons are low occupational level and adverse workstyles which include shift work, heavy workload and so on. Health administration and hospital management departments should pay much more attention to the mental health of nurses, improving their mental health through a variety of ways.
