Journal of Practical Radiology 1996;0(04):-
Objective To study the clinical and MRI features of central pontine myelinolysis(CPM).Methods The MRI findings of 11 cases with central pontine myelinolysis verified by clinic and imagings were analyzed. Results There were history of drink wine long term in 7 cases, undernourishment in 4 cases,low-blood-sodium in 10 cases.Long T 1 and T 2 signal intensity was showed on MR in central pontine, focus presented under cortex cerebri and in nucleus basalis area in 4 cases.3 cases enhanced around focus,2 cases enhanced in center and 4 cases no enhanced on postcontrast MRI.Conclusion There are characteristic MRI features in central pontine myelinolysis,it is not difficult to diagnoses CPM in early stage if its clinical manifestations and testing treatment with hormone is associated with MRI features.

Objective To study the CT and MRI features of meningiomas at special locations. Methods CT and MRI findings of meningiomas at special locations (lateral ventricle, diaphragma sellae, frontal sinus) in 11 cases confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.8 patients were evaluated with MRI,3 patients were evaluated with CT.Results 11 cases were all singular lesion. The lesions were at lateral ventricle in 4, at diaphragma sellae in 4,at frontal sinus in 3.Of total 11 cases,8 cases showed isointensity or slight hypointensity signal on T 1WI ,tumors had isointensity or slight hyperintensity signal or slight hypointensity signal on T 2WI,homogeneous or inhomogeneous enhancement were found on Gd-DTPA enhanced MRI scanning.3 cases were showed homogeneous density or slight highly density on plain CT scanning.Pathological diagnosis was as follows:fibroblastic type in 4,angioblastic type in 3,syncytial type in 1,psammomatous type in 3.There were 9 cases were misdiagnosed before operation. Conclusion It is a fact that improving the imaging correct diagnostic rate of meningioma at special locations will play an important role in deciding correct operative route of entry and increasing cure rate.

Herald of Medicine 2015;(5):612-616
Objective To investigate the absorption characteristics of galangin in various intestinal segments. Methods Single-pass intestinal perfusion was employed in rats, and the mass quality was used to correct the volume;Galangin in rat intestinal perfusion was determined by HPLC to investigate the effects of intestinal segments, drug concentration and P-glycoprotein ( P-gp) inhibitor on drug’ s absorption. Results Galangin could be absorbed in the whole intestine, and its Ka values in the segments of duodenum, jejunum, ileum and colon were (5. 12±1. 14)í10-2,(2. 23±1. 02)í10-2,(4. 61± 0. 75)í 10-2 and(2. 68 ± 0. 70)í10-2 ·min-1 ,respectively. Meanwhile, the values of the Ka in the segment of ileum were not affected by the drug concentration and P-gp inhibitor. Conclusion The galangin is well absorbed in rats intestinal segments. The absorption procedure is mainly controlled by passive diffusion but unaffected by P-gp efflux protein.

Objective To invesigate the value of contrast-enhanced spiral CT scan in diagnosing renal pelvic carcinoma. Methods All 35 cases with renal pelvic carcinoma confirmed by surgical pathology underwent plain and contrast-enhanced (including 4 phases) spiral CT scans before operation.CT data were reviewed retrospectively in comparison with surgical and patholgical results. Results CT findings of renal carcinoma could be classified into 3 types:type Ⅰ,the lesions limited within the renal pelvis in 25 cases;thype Ⅱ,the lesions were out of the renal pelvis and had indefinable margins with the renal parenchyma in 6 cases;type Ⅲ ,only showed the pelvic wall thickened with hydronephrosis in 4 cases. On contrast-enhanced CT scan, inhomogeneous enhancement of the lesions was presented in cortical phase, the intensity of enhancement was not obviously changed in 13 cases in parenchymal and excretion phases, but the lesions were still hypointense in comparison with renal parenchyma,14 cases demonstrated inhomogeneous enhancement of the lesions in delayed phase. Conclusion Contrast-enhanced spiral CT scanning is valuable in diagnosing renal pelvic carcinoma and renal delayed phase should be emphasized.

High‐speed economic development and progress of medical technologies in China have significantly benefitted people′s health conditions.Significantly higher life expectancy in average ,as a result ,also contributed to population aging process. How to deal with the contradictions between population aging and rapid growth of medical costs is challenging the healthcare sector of the country.Analysis of medical costs at three tertiary hospitals in Liaoning Province discovered problems in out‐of‐pocket medical expenses of elderlies ,and proposed on measures to effectively ease their burden in medical expenditure .

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2021;23(2):162-166
Objective:To report the diagnosis and surgical treatment of a special type of Maisonneuve injury. Methods:A total of 4 patients were treated at Department of Orthopaedics, Beijing Chao Yang Hospital from January 2015 to July 2019 for Maisonneuve injury. They were 3 males and one female, aged from 34 to 61 years (average, 45.3 years). All injuries were closed, initially manifested as posterior dislocation of the ankle on X-ray films and X-ray and CT re-exams after manual reduction showed fine reduction with no obvious fracture of the ankle joint. Consequently the diagnosis of their Maisonneuve injury was missed in emergency visits, but re-exams in outpatient visits showed separation of distal tibiofibular syndesmosis. All the patients were treated by restoration of the fibular length, fixation of the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis and repair of the triangular ligament. American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle-hindfoot score was used to evaluate functional recovery of the ankle joint at 12 months after operation. Results:All the 4 patients were followed up for 12 to 14 months (average, 12.7 months). The fractures united after 110 to 185 days (average, 149.3 days). No post-operative complications like infection, delayed union or nonunion were observed. The AOFAS score at 12 months ranged from 82 to 96 points (average, 90.5 points), giving 3 excellent and one good cases. Conclusions:The Maisonneuve injury which is clinically manifested as posterior dislocation of the ankle with no obvious fracture of the ankle joint is likely to be missed in clinical diagnosis. Therefore, X-ray exam of the full length tibia and fibula should be taken in physical examination after reduction for the patients with simple posterior dislocation of the ankle. Once the special type of Maisonneuve injury is diagnosed, surgical treatment is indicated. Satisfactory treatment efficacy can be achieved by fixation of the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis and repair of the triangular ligament.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2017;33(7):543-546
Objective To describe and analyze the distribution of medical expenditure of Liaoning province in 2014 in terms of population beneficiary based on the System of Health Accounts 2011(SHA 2011).Methods By means of multistage and stratified sampling, a total of 252 medical institutions were selected from four cities in Liaoning province according to their economic status and geographical distribution.Macro data including the outpatient income and hospitalization income were taken into account, to calculate the beneficiary population of the province in 2014 according to SHA2011.Results GBD classification found that the highest medical expenditure category was non-communicable diseases, accounting for 63.02% in total medical expenditure.ICD classification found that respiratory disease as consuming the highest medical expenses (43.76%).The average medical expenditure of the elderly population was the highest per person, up to 3 041.70 yuan per person. Conclusions Medical expenses of non-communicable diseases, respiratory disease and elderly population were still high. Thus we need to emphasize disease prevention, and take efficient measures against such key diseases to curb the medical expenses. The elderly population calls for specific and effective measures to reduce their medical expenses.
