OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of aspirin combined with Dieda huayu powder in the prevention of deep vain thrombus (DVT) after great saphenous varicose vein surgery. METHODS:280 patients with great saphenous vein sur-gery were randomlt divided into control group and observation group. control group was given Aspirin enteric-coated tablet 100 mg breakfast in the next day of surgery,once a day;observation group was additionally given Diedahuayu powder 2 g to fumigate feet and non-operation place on ill leg in the next day of surgery. 7 d was a treatment course. The incidence of prothrombin time(PT), activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),fibrinogen(Fg),platelet count and the incidence of DVT and adverse reactions af-ter surgery before and after surgery in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The incidence of DVT in observation group was signifi-cantly lower than control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After surgery,the PT,APTT and Fg in 2 groups were significantly higher than before,and observation group was higher than control group,platelet count was significantly lower than before,and observation group was lower than control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Aspirin combined with Dieda huayu powder can more effectively prevent the DVT after great saphenous varicose vein surgery than only as-pirin,inhibit coagulation,with similar safety.

Objective To evaluate the standardization of diagnosis and therapy for stage I epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods Retrospective study of 146 cases of ovarian cancer admitted in our hospital. All of cases had postoperative pathological diagnosis.Results 146 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer from Jan 1980 to Jun 2002. 32 of them were stage I cases (21 92%). The average age was 45 32. The first four symptom were self touching the mass, abdomen bulge,abdomen pain and oppress symptoms. All of 29 cases accepted surgery and chemotherapy in our hospitalexcept that 3 cases.4/32 lost touch ,3/32 died of other diseases, 5/32 recurrence, 3/32 died of cancer.Five-year survival rates were 92 87%, ten-year survival rates were 83 90%. Conclusions Prognosis between early and advanced ovarian cancer is obvious difference. If the diagnosis and therapy for epithelial ovarian cancer is early,and survival rates is highly.

Objective To investigate the effect of lung ischemic preconditioning (IP) on the expression of aquaporin-1 (AQP1) during lung ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) induced by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in dogs.Methods Twelve adult mongrel dogs,weighing 15-20 kg,were randomly divided into 2 groups (n =6 each):lung I/R (group I/R) and ischemic preconditioning group (group IP).The left pulmonary artery was occluded at 10 min of off-pump CPB and mechanical ventilation was stopped in the left lung,60 min later occlusion was released,and mechanical ventilation was recovered to establish the model of left lung ischemia-reperfusion injury induced by CPB.In group IP,lung ischemic preconditioning was induced by 2 cycles of 5 min ischemia followed by 5 min reperfusion before occlusion of the left pulmonary artery.Before CPB (T1),immediately after occlusion of the left pulmonary artery (T2),at the end of CPB (T3),and at 2 h after the end of CPB (T4),pulmonary specimens were collected for determination of wet to dry lung weight ratio (W/D ratio) and expression of AQP1 and for examination of the pathological changes of lungs which were scored.Respiration index (RI),oxygenation index (OI),and alveolar-arterial oxygen tension difference (P(A-a)O2) were calculated at T1,T3 and T4,and the left pulmonary alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) was calculated at T4.Results Compared with group I/R,P(A-a) O2 and RI were significantly decreased,OI was increased,W/D ratio and pathological scores were decreased,the expression of AQP1 was up-regulated,and the AFC was increased at T3 and T4 in group IP.The pathological changes of the lung were significantly attenuated in group IP as compared with group I/R.Conclusion The mechanism by which lung ischemic preconditioning mitigates lung I/R injury induced by CPB is related to upregulation of the expression of AQP1 in dog lung tissues.

Objective:To define the expression levels of MDM2 gene in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC)and its relationship with p53 protein expression and EB virus latent infection. Method :MDM2 gene expression atmRNA and protein levels,p53 protein and EB virus DNA were detected by nonradioactive in situ hybridization(ISH) ,immunohistochemistry(IHC) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) separately in 46 cases of NPC tissuesand 12 cases of chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal epithelium (CINE). Result: Fourteen cases of NPCshowed MDM2 mRNA and protein overexpression, 38 cases were p53 protein positive,and 43 cases were EBV-DNA positive. Neither MDM2 nor p53 protein was expressed in any case of CINE. MDM2 expression was signifi-cantly related to p53 protein expression ( P ＜0. 05), but not to EB virus latent infection in NPC. Conclusion:MDM2 gene may play an important role in the pathogenesis of NPC through interacting with p53 protein.

Objective To investigate the in vitro anti-candidal activity of the essential oil of Illicium verum (EOIV) alone and in combination with fluconazole. Methods The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC) of EOIV were determined in 130 clinically isolated Candida strains by NCCLS-M27-A microdilution method, and fluconazole was used as positive control. Meanwhile the checkerboard microdilution method was applied to assay the combined effect of EOIV and fluconazole in 18 candidal strains. Results For the 18 candidal strains the MICs and the MFCs of EOIV were 1 517.16 ?g/mL and 2 248.55 ?g/mL for C. albicans, 1 169.24 ?g/mL and 2 338.49 ?g/mL for C. glabrata, 1 320.03 ?g/mL and 1 741.79 ?g/mL for C. parapsilosis, 1 203.50 ?g/mL and 2 407.01 ?g/mL for C. tropicalis, 1 516.32 ?g/mL and 2 144.40 ?g/mL for C. krusei, and 1 072.64 ?g/mL and 2 144.40 ?g/mL for C. guilliermondii, respectively. Significant synergistic and additive effects were observed after the combination of EOIV with fluconazole, and no antagonism was found. There was no significant difference in the mean fractional inhibitory concentration index (FICI) between the fluconazole-susceptible and the fluconazole-resistant candidal strains (P = 0.671). Conclusion EOIV has antifungal effects on medically important Candida spp.. The combination of EOIV with fluconazole presents a synergistic and additive effects.

Objective To investigate the genotype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) rs11728697and rs9138 in Zhuang populations in Guangxi ,and to compare the distribution of osteopontin polymorphisms a‐mong different races .Methods The osteopontin gene rs11728697 and rs9138 polymorphisms were detected by SNaPshot SNP gen‐otyping technique in 150 Zhuang populations in Guangxi ,the genotype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene rs 11728697 and rs9138 polymorphisms were analyzed in Zhuang populations compared with the other four populations (HapMap‐CEU ,HapMap‐YRI ,HapMap‐JPT ,HapMap‐HCB) from HapMap database .Results The most common genotype and allele of osteopontin gene rs11728697 polymorphism in Zhuang populations in Guangxi were CC(42 .7% ) and C(62 .7% ) ,and the most common genotype and allele of osteopontin gene rs9138 polymorphism were CA (51 .3% ) and C(63 .0% ) .There were no significant differences in the gen‐otype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene rs11728697 and rs9138 polymorphisms between male and female groups ( P >0 .05) .The genotype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene rs11728697 polymorphism were significantly differenct compared with HapMap‐CEU ,HapMap‐JPT and HapMap‐YRI(P< 0 .05) ,but were not significantly different compared with HapMap‐HCB (P> 0 .05) .The genotype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene rs9138 polymorphism were significantly differenct compared with HapMap‐CEU and HapMap‐YRI(P < 0 .05) ,but had no significantly different compared with HapMap‐JPT and HapMap‐HCB(P> 0 .05) .Conclusion There are significant differences in the genotype and allele frequencies of osteopontin gene rs 11728697 and rs9138 polymorphisms between Zhuang populations and other ethnic populations ,and this variation might contribute for a varie‐ty of clinical manifestation and morbidity of some osteopontin related diseases .

Objective To study the frequencies of allele and genotype distribution of alpha-B-crystallin (CRYAB ) gene rs3212227 and rs6894567 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in Chinese guangxi populations ,and to Compare the distribution differences among different ethnic .Methods The CRYAB gene rs3212227 and rs6894567 polymorphisms were detected by the pol-ymerase chain reaction-single base extension (PCR-SBE) technique and DNA sequencing methods in 199 Chinese guangxi popula-tions ,frequencies of allele and genotype of CRYAB gene SNP loci ,rs3212227、rs6894567 were analyzed in guangxi populations com-pared with other the four populations (HapMap-CEU ,HapMap-YRI ,HapMap-JPT and HapMap-HCB) from Human Genome Pro-ject group (Hapmap) data .Results There were CRYAB gene polymorphisms in Guangxi populations .The frequencies of allele and genotype distribution of CRYAB gene rs3212227、rs6894567 polymorphisms had significant difference compared with HapMap-CEU and HapMap-YRI populations (P<0 .05) ,and had no significant difference compared with HapMap-JPT and HapMap-HCB (P>0 .05) .Conclusion The frequencies of allele and genotype distribution of CRYAB gene rs3212227、rs6894567 polymorphisms are significantly difference compared with others ethnic populations ,and this variation might account for a variety of clinical mani-festation and morbidity of of some CRYAB related diseases .

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of P-selectin in colorectal cancer cells. Methods The protein expression of P-selectin was detected by immunohistochemistry in colorectal cancer tissues ( n=116) and corresponding non-tumor normal mucosa(n=57). The differences of P-selectin expression in colorectal cancer tissues, corre?sponding non-tumor normal mucosa and the clinical pathological significance were compared and analysed in two groups. Results The expression of P-selectin protein was found not only in vascular endothelial cells but also in colorectal cancer cells. The positive rate of P-selectin expression was apparently higher in colorectal cancer cells (77.6%, 90/116) than that in normal mucosa (17.5%, 10/57,χ2=56.49, P<0.05). However, there were no significance in positive rates of P-selectin in colorectal cancer cells between tumors with different diameters, different degrees of differentiation, different depths of infiltration and with or without lymph node metastasis (80.6%vs. 74.1%, 79.0%vs. 74.3%, 78.4%vs. 76.9%, 82.7%vs. 73.4%, P>0.05). Conclusion The high expression of P-seletin in colorectal cancer cells is an important characteristic of colorectal cancer.

Objective: To explore the epidemic characteristics of injury related deaths in children and adolescents aged 1-24 years old in China from 2010 to 2020, so as to provide a basis for the formulation of policies and measures related to the control of injuries and deaths among children and adolescents. Methods: The data were sourced from the China Death Cause Monitoring Dataset from 2010 to 2020. Annual percentage change (APC) and average annual percentage change (AAPC) of injury deaths in China in this age group during the period 2010 to 2020 were analyzed by Join point regression. Results: From 2010 to 2020, the standardized death rate of injury showed a decreasing trend (AAPC=-6.90%, t =4.58, P <0.01). The standardized death rates of male and rural injuries showed an overall downward trend, with AAPC rates of -8.37% and -7.79%( t =11.87, 10.34, P <0.01). An increasing trend was observed in the 20-24 year-old age group during 2010-2018 (APC=18.11%, t =6.50, P <0.01). The death rate from injuries was higher in males than females, and higher in rural areas compared with urban areas ( χ 2=16 483.64, 3 268.65 , P <0.01). A downward trend was observed in accidental falls and suicide, the overall standardized mortality rate of traffic accidents, accidental poisoning, fire, drowning, homicide and other injuries (AAPC=-10.22%, -6.21%, -7.50%, -7.94%, -9.01% , -10.97%, t =16.23, 7.29, 2.53, 9.32, 7.88, 4.58, P <0.05). Conclusion From 2010 to 2020, the overall injury standardized mortality rate in the 1-24 year-old age group shows a decreasing trend, but it remains at a relatively high level. Prevention efforts should be continuously strengthened, especially for urban areas, and should focus on women and those aged 20-24 years old, as well as accidental falls and suicide prevention.
