Objective To longitudinally analyze the unit costs and technical efficiency of the model of male circumcision in the different kinds of persons .Methods Unit costs were calculated by the person and period using longitudinal data from 3 kinds of persons ,and then technical efficiency and Malmquist indices were measured with an approach to data envelopment analysis . Results Theunit costs for changing the willingness to accept surgery changed dramatically ,decreasing from 7 166 .67 yuan(mean) to 737 .31 yuan ,while the costs for changing the ratio of the surgery increased from 666 .64 yuan (mean) to 744 .58 yuan ,and its technical efficiency was averaging between 0 .95-0 .96 .Conclusion The time series of unit costs for changing the willingness to ac-cept surgery dramatically dropped ,while changing the ratio of the surgery formed a U-shape curve with an inflection point before which unit costs dramatically dropped and another inflection point beyond which unit costs went up .These findings can inform pro-gram managers of the changing unit costs when extending or expanding the program .

Objective To evaluate the value of energy spectrum CT with multimodal quantitative parameters in diagnosis of the metastatic lymph nodes of gastric adenocarcinoma compared with the conventional CT.Methods 37 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma diagnosed by gastroscopy underwent enhanced CT scan with gemstone spectral imaging mode.We positioned and marked the stomach lymph nodes on CT images and compared with postoperative pathologic results one to one.ROC was used to identify the critical quantitative index of energy spectrum CT in distinguishing the metastasis from benign lymph node,and to evaluate the diagnostic effect compared with CT features.Results The 40-80 keV single energy spectrum curve slope (λHU )and normalized iodine concentration (NIC)in metastasis group were lower than those in the benign one in the arterial phase with statistical differences (P <0.05 ),but without statistical differences in venous phase.The combination of arterialλHU and NIC showed significant advantages compared with CT features(P <0.01), with the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of 84.3% vs 61.4 %,88.4% vs 81.3 % and 86.8% vs 73.6 %.Conclusion The energy spectrum CT can provide quantitative analysis for differential diagnosis of gastric cancer metastasis from benign lymph nodes,and significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of lymph node metastasis of the cancer.

Objective: Oxidized low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL) plays an important role in the pathogenesis and development of atherosclerosis.The aim of this study was to explore the relationship of the ox-LDL level with the severity and risk factors of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods: A total of 164 patients undergoing coronary angiography(CAG) were assigned to a control group(n=29) and a CHD group(n=135) according to the results of CAG.The samples of fasting plasma were collected,and the levels of ox-LDL were detected by ELISA.Based on different criteria of classification,the CHD patients were again divided into the following subgroups: acute myocardial infarction(AMI),unstable angina(UA),stable angina(SA),single-vessel disease(SVD),double-vessel disease(DVD),multi-vessel disease(MVD),localized lesion,diffuse lesion,slight stenosis group,moderate stenosis,and severe stenosis.Results: The level of ox-LDL was higher in the AMI(85.60 ? 29.21 ?g/ml) than in the UA(72.54 ? 27.75 ?g/ml) and SA groups(72.93 ? 26.50 ?g/ml),with statistically significant differences(P = 0.05 and P = 0.06).It was significantly higher in the MVD(83.78 ? 29.66 ?g/ml) than in the SVD group(68.57 ? 26.50 ?g/ml,P

Objective:To study the effects of diosgenin on cell proliferation, differentiation and OPG/RANKL mRNA expression of rat osteoblasts cultured in vitro for analyzing the prevention and treatment mechanism of diosgenin. Methods: Rat osteoblast cultured in vitro was treated by a series of different concentrations of diosgenin for different time respectively. The proliferation of osteoblast was detected by MTT method. Objective To observe the expression of αA-and αB-crystallin in retina after blue-light exposure.Methods Forty female Wistar rats were divided randomly into 4 groups:control group,and blue-light exposure for 6,12,and 24 hours groups,with 10 rats in each group.The rats in the control group were not intervened.The other three groups of rats were exposed to blue fluorescent lights for 6,12,and 24 hours respcetively.Then the rats were kept in darkness for 12 hours.The globes were enucleated after anaesthesia.The immunohistochemistry and Western blot were performed to detect the expression of αA-and αB-crystallin in retina.Results The absorbance value(A value)of retina αA-crystallin was 1.40573±0.70748 in the control group,and were 4.317 51±0.412 97,7.397 08±1.947 90,9.634 32±2.377 61,respectively in the other 3 groups;the difference among the groups was significant(F=24.569,P<0.001).The A value of retina αB-crystallin is 0.129 36±0.033 93 in the control group,and were 0.507 17±0.117 55,7.345 43±2.292 97,4.042 26±3.890 23,respectively in the other 3 groups;the difference among the groups was significant(F=40.102,P<0.001).The results of Western blot showed that the expression of αA-and αB-crystallin in groups with blue-light exposure was obviously higher than that in the control group.Conclusions Blue light may up-regulate the expression of αA-and αB-crystallin in rats' retina.
