1.Research Progress on Clinical Application and Pharmacological Mechanism ofAn-Gong Niu-HuangPill in Treatment of Acute Cerebrovascular Diseases

An-Gong Niu-Huang (AGNH) Pill is an emergency medication in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It has been widely used in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, meningitis, toxic encephalopathy, hematosepsis, and various types of fever and coma. Pharmacological studies on AGNH Pill revealed that it had the effects of anti-inflammation, cerebral circulation improvement, brain cell protection, brain injury-reducing, and post-injury brain edema improvement. All these effects became the research hotspots in its therapeutic mechanism study. This article summarized the Chinese medicine and modern medicine understanding of AGNH Pill, its clinical application and pharmacological mechanism in the treatment of acute cerebrovascular diseases in recent years, in order to provide references for clinical practice as well as new thinking and prospect for further research.
2.Clinical research progress between MMP-9 and the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer

The molecular weight of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 is the largest in MMP family which comes mainly from macrophage and neutrophil.MMP-9 is considered to be involved in the occurrence and metastasis of colorectal cancer.It also provides a new way for colorectal cancer in clinical prevention and treatment.
3.Observation of effect of red lip defect repair using orbicularis oris muscles pedicle island flap disc

Objective To explore the effect of red lip defect repair using orbicularis oris muscles pedicle island flap disc.Methods 100 cases of unilateral pure red lip defect 1/3-2/3,lip lines full of patients were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into two groups,50 cases in each group.Group A treated with debridement surgery to repair.Group B received red lip flap to promote repair treatment.The treatment effect of the two groups, satisfaction, lip survival rate and the degree of obvious scars were compared.Results he operation effect of the two groups was good.The satisfaction rates of group A and group B were 94.00% and 96.00%,respectively.For the lip shape treatment satisfaction, the difference was no statistically significant (P>0.05).The patients of the two groups with lip all alive, and 1 patient in group A with obvious scar, the scar was not obvious in group B.Conclusion For patients with red lip defect, take orbicularis oris muscles pedicle island flap of the oral mucosa or red lip flap to promote repair treatment has relatively significant clinical efficacy, with easy operation, less influence on the patients with facial form, it is worthy of popularizing.
4.MSCT is unsuitable for preoperative staging estimation of rectal carcinoma independently

Objective To evaluate the validity and reliability of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) in preoperative TNM staging judgment of rectal carcinoma. Methods Three hundred and one patients with rectal carcinoma were diagnosed and treated consecutively in Colorectal and Anal Surgery Department of Shanxi Province Tumor Hospital from January 2009 to December 2009. The clinical data of these patients were analyzed retrospectively. The diagnosis results were compared between the preoperative MSCT staging and the postoperative pathological staging,the ROC curve and the diagnostic concordance test were analyzed by software Medcalc 11.2. Results The sensitivity, specificity, Kappa value, area under the curve of TNM staging were 64.7% ,96. 8% ,0. 667,0. 808 for T2 staging tumors; 93.8% ,75.0% ,0.709,0.844 for T3 staging tumors;87. 8% ,98. 1% ,0. 859,0. 929 for T4 staging tumors; 72. 0% ,91.2% ,0. 619,0. 816 for N staging tumors;92. 7%, 99. 7%, 0. 925,0. 963 for M staging tumors respectively. Conclusion The diagnostic value of independent use of MSCT in estimating the infiltration degree and lymph node metastasis of rectal cancer is very poor and cannot be used in preoperative staging judgment.
5.CT-guided 125I radioactive seed interstitial implantation combined with chemotherapy for advanced pancreatic carcinoma:analysis of therapeutic efficacy

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation combined with gemcitabine and Gio (gemcitabine and S-1, GS scheme) chemotherapy in treating advanced pancreatic carcinoma. Methods Sixty-eight patients with inoperable advanced pancreatic carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in group A(n=38) were treated with CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation combined with GS chemotherapy scheme, while patients in group B (n=30) received GS chemotherapy scheme only. The short-term effect, the median progression-free survival time, the median survival time and adverse reactions of the two groups were determined , and the results were compared between the two groups. Results The objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR) and clinical benefit rate (CBR) of the group A were 57.9%, 73.7%and 84.2%respectively, while those of group B were 26.7%, 46.7% and 60.0% respectively. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). In group A the median progression-free survival time and the median survival time were 8.00 months and 11.84 months respectively, which were strikingly higher than those in group B (5.63 months and 10.40 months respectively), the differences between the two groups were statistically significantly (P<0.05). No significant differences in gastrointestinal reactions, blood toxicity, liver toxicity and other adverse reactions existed between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion For advanced pancreatic carcinoma, CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation combined with GS program is a safe and effective treatment.
6.THE EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION ON SERA OF 206 CASES WITH HYDATID DISEASE FOUND IN SURVEY SCENE BY DIFFERENT SEROLOGICAL METHODS

The sera of 206 cases with hydatid disease diagnosed by B-ultrasound and X-ray in survey scene had been examined by Dot-ELISA and IHA with Qinghai cystic hydatid antigen, ELISA With Xingjiang cystic hydatid antigen and Em18-EliB with alveolar hydatid antigen. The results showed that the sero-positive rates were 90. 37% and 91.98% in these cases with cystic hydatid disease by Dot EliSA and IHA with Qinghai cystic hydatid antigen respectively. The sero-positive rate was 75. 94% in same cases by ELISA with Xingjiang cystic hydatid antigen. The sero-positive rateswere 77.27% 81. 82% and 65. 91 % in those cases with the whole calcific cystic hydatid disease by above three methods respectively, and the sero-positive rates were lower in whole calcific cystic hydatid than that in other cystic hydatid disease. The sero-negative cases belonged to cystic hydatid disease which located in lungs of livers alone. The results by EM18-ELIB with alveolar hydatid antigen showed that the sero-positive rates were 73. 68% and 5. 88% in those cases with alveolar hydatid disease and with cystic hydatid disease diagnosed by B-ultrasound and X-ray respectively,and the sero-positive rate was 15.91 % in whole calcific cystic hydatid disease. The ratio of the number of positive seras to that of negative seras was 1 to 7 approximately. The value and mean of different serological methods in diagnosis and judge diagnosis for cystic and alveolar hydatid disease had been discussed.
7.Study on Quality Standard of Huangdi Cataplasm

Objective To develop the quality standard for evaluating Huangdi cataplasm. Methods Thin layer chromatography (TLC) was used to qualitatively identify Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bunge,Rheum palmatum Linn,Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Angelica sinensis and Resina Draconis in Huangdi cataplasm.HPLC method was used to determine astragaloside A and loureirin B in Huangdi cataplasm. Results The Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bunge,Rheum palmatum Linn,Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Angelica sinensis and Resina Draconis were well separated by TLC without interference in the negative control.content of Astragaloside A and loureirin B showed good liner relationships with respective peak area within the range of 6.96-23.2 μg,and 0.072-0.648 μg,with r = 0.999 5,r = 0.999 9, respectively;and the average recovery was 97.18%,and 96.93%,RSD was 1.21%(n= 6),1.53% (n = 6 ), respectively. Conclusion The established qualitative and quantitative detection method is simple, specific, reproducible, accurate and reliable, which can be used for quality control of Huangdi cataplasm.
8.3-D Image of Near-infrared Fluorescent Probe in Tissue-like Solution.

Objective To develop the fluorescence molecular imaging system and obtain the 3D images of near-infrared fluorescent probe in tissue-like solution.Methods Weak optical signals were acquired with hypothermal cooled CCD camera.The system captured the fluorescent images of different projections at rotating the tissue phantom.The photon propagation in tissue followed the diffusion approximation theory.The 3D image of probe was calculated with a fast reconstruction algorithm based on finite element approach.Results The imaging system could obtain the full-angle dense raw dataset.The reconstruction algorithm had capacity to recover the position and contour of the fluorescent target included in diffusive medium.Conclusion The results from phantom experiments are promising and show the potentials to act as a platform for in vivo fluorescence tomography.
10.Research of Detecting Depth for Near-infrared Fluorescence Imaging in Vivo

Objective To obtain the near-infrared fluorescence image in vivo and find the relationship between the detecting depth and fluorescence probe concentration. Methods Signals of fluorescence probe in various depths of vivo and tissue phantom with cooled CCD camera were acquired. Results The fluorescence intensity informations with different fluorescence probe concentrations and depths in vivo and liquid phantom were obtained. Conclusion Relationship between fluorescence intensity,location and depth of detecting probe in vivo is found. The linear relation of fluorescence probe concentration and detecting intensity is simulated,which will be used as a reference for the experiment system.
