RNA dot blot hybridization was employed to investigate the alterations in C-myc, C-H-ras transcript levels in bone marrow and peripheral blood cells from 24 patients with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia. 10 cases of normal bone marrow cells were used as control. We found that the positive rates and intensities of expression of C-myc and C-H-ras in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia were hipher than those of normal control. The C-myc and C-H-ras expressed simultaneously in 10 patients. After having been cultured 5 days with RA and low dose Ara-C combined with low dose Harr, the C-myc transcipt level of C-myc in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia was decreased obviously.

Chinese Journal of Health Management 2021;15(6):545-550
Objective:To explore the influence of elastic band aerobics training on cardiovascular risk factors in adults.Methods:Twenty-four health management centers participated in the competition. Each individual participant learned elastic band aerobics through video and tested their own indexes before and after intervention. Height, body weight (BW), muscle content (MC), fat content (FC), waist circumference (WC), hip circumference (HC), body fat rate (BFR), resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP and DBP) were measured. A paired samples t-test was used to analyze pre-and post-test results. Results:After 8 weeks of elastic band aerobics training, there were significant differences in body weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, body fat content, systolic and diastolic blood pressure for male contestants before and after training ( P<0.01). These decreased by 1.39%, 1.45%, 0.98%, 3.61%, 2.28%, 2.34%, and 3.05% respectively. Weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist hip ratio, body fat content and rate of female contestants decreased by 1.25%, 1.59%, 0.65%, 0.99%, 4.22%, and 2.38% respectively ( P<0.01). There were significant differences in absenteeism between the top 10 and bottom 14 teams ( P<0.05). Average absenteeism rates were 2.8% and 10.7% respectively. Overall attendance rate of participants was 92.6%, higher than the clinical standard of an 80% level of compliance. Conclusions:Eight-week elastic band aerobics training can significantly improve body composition of adults, reducing body fat rate and waist circumference. Using competition as an opportunity to exercise promotes implementation and persistence of sports training programs.

Objective:
Morphometric and morphological evaluation of the mandibular condyle in adults and to identify its correlation with skeletal malocclusion patterns.
Methods:
Cone-beam computed tomography scans of 135 adult patients were used in this study and classified into groups according to four criteria: (1) sex (male and female); (2) sagittal skeletal discrepancy (Class I, Class II, and Class III); (3) vertical skeletal discrepancy (hyperdivergent, normodivergent, and hypodivergent); and age (group 1 ≤ 20 years, 21 ≤ group 2 < 30, and group 3 ≥ 30 years). The morphometrical variables were mandibular condyle height and width, and the morphological variable was the mandibular condyle shape in coronal and sagittal sections. Three-dimensional standard tessellation language files were created using itk-snap (open-source software), and measurements were performed using Meshmixer (open-source software).
Results:
The mandibular condyle height was significantly greater (p < 0.05) in patients with class III malocclusion than in those with class I or II malocclusion;the mandibular condyle width was not significantly different among different sexes, age groups, and sagittal and vertical malocclusions. There were no statistical associations between various mandibular condyle shapes and the sexes, age groups, and skeletal malocclusions.
Conclusions
The condylar height was greatest in patients with class III malocclusion. The condylar height and width were greater among males than in females. The mandibular condyle shapes observed in sagittal and coronal sections did not affect the skeletal malocclusion patterns.
