Clinical Medicine of China 2016;32(3):231-234
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and effects on nerve conduction velocity of α-lipoic acid combined with monosialoteterahexosyl ganglioside sodium (GM 1) on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).Methods Ninety-six cases patients with DPN were randomly divided into the observation group (50 cases) and the control group(46 cases). The control group received GM1 40 mg daily though travenous drip, the observation group received α-lipoic acid 600 mg and daily though travenous drip. The course of treatment was 2 weeks in two groups. The effect was observed after 2 weeks, the motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of median nerve and common peroneal nerve were detected by EMG.Results The total effectiveness of observation group was 94.00%(47/50),higher than that of the control group(71.74% (33/46),x2=7.0205,P< 0.05).After the treatment,MNCV and SNCV of median nerve of observation group and the control group were (47.6813.34)m/s and (43.82±3.10)m/s,(40.23±2.76)m/s,(37.31 ±2.79)m/s,and M NCV and SNCV of common peroneal nerve of observation group and the control group were(42.86±3.16)m/s and (39.47±2.17)m/s,(35.67±2.61) m/s and (32.16±2.50) m/s,all improved compared to before treatment(observation grou:t =7.876,8.428,6.923,7.234;control grou:t =3.572,3.483,3.413,4.182;P<0.05),and the magnitude of improvement of the observation group was more significant, and the difference was significant compared to control group after six months (t =5.133,3.827,4.634,4.545;P<0.05).Conclusion α-lipoic acid combined with GM1 in the treatment of DPN can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve nerve conduction velocity,is better than the single use of gangliosides,it is worthy of clinical application.
2.Study on PBR expression in telencephalon of schistosomiasis mice with liver fibrosis
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 1989;0(02):-
Objective To explore the change of peripheral benzodiazepine receptors (PBR) expression in the telencephalon of mice with schistosomiasis. Methods The changes of PBR mRNA in the telencephalon of schistosomiasis mice were observed by the real-time FQ-PCR method. The results were judged with circle number of times (C_T) when the level of amplification exponent achieved detecting liminal value. Results Comparing the experiment group (n=10) with the healthy control (n=10) at the 8th、12th、20th week, the changes of C_T were significant(P
3.Value of FibroScan in diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis in patients with HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(7):620-623
Objective To evaluate the value of transient elastography (FibroScan,FS)in predicting hepatic fibrosis in patients with HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B (CHB).Methods One hundred and four patients with HBeAg-negative CHB,who were diagnosed and treated in Hubei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2011 to May 2013,were enrolled in this study. All patients underwent FS for liver stiffness measurement before liver biopsy.Statistical analysis was applied to compare liver stiffness (kPa)with fibrosis stage (de-termined by liver biopsy). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curve of FS was constructed, and the area under the ROC curve (AUC)was calculated to analyze the accuracy of live stiffness in predicting significant fibrosis and cirrhosis.Comparison between groups was made by Kruskal-Wallis H test, followed by Mann-Whitney U test for multiple comparisons. The correlation between two variables was an-alyzed by Spearman rank and Pearson correlation test. Results Liver stiffness gradually rose as the degree of hepatic fibrosis increased, with significant differences between groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05).Liver stiffness was positively correlated with the stage of hepatic fibrosis (r=0.810,P<0.01).The AUC of liver stiffness for detecting liver cirrhosis was 0.956;the cut-off value for diagnosing liver cirrhosis was 13.1 kPa;the sensitivity was 92.7%,and the specificity was 80%.Conclusion FS is a promising noninvasive method for the assessment of hepatic fibrosis in patients with HBeAg-negative CHB;particularly,it has high accuracy in the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis.FS combined with direct or indirect markers may play an important role in differential diagnosis and efficacy evaluation in patients with hepatic fibrosis.

Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2009;21(6):540-543
The control meaurees and endemic situation were analysed in Dali Prefecture,Yunnan Province. The infection rates of population and livestock decreased from 6.42% and 3. 81% in 2004 to 0.07% and 0.15% in 2008, respectively. No infected snail and acute schistosomiasis case were discovered in 2008. The proportion of villages with serious endemic situation decreased from 49.42% in 2004 to 7.51% in 2008, and 92.48% of villages reached the criteria of transmission control or transmission interruption. The endemic situation and snail status of Dali Prefecture have decreased significantly after the implementation of the comprehensive control project, but the consolidation and enlargement of the control result still remains a challenge.

Objective To explore the effect of RNA interference on the bionomics of Cathepsin L of hepatoma carcinoma cells. Methods In this study, the experimental group was the Cathepsin L RNA interference group. Control groups were the normal blank hepatoma carcinoma cell group (the blank group) and the Cathepsin LRNA interference blank group (the fluorescence control group). Observing times were ld,3d and 6d after RNA interference. Transfection efficiency in each group was observed. Expression of Cathepsin L of hepatoma cells was detected by immunofluorescence, RT-PCR and WB. Cell vigor was detected by MTT assay. Changes in the cell cycle and apoptosis were observed by flow cytometry. Transwell cabin was used to detect the changes of cell invasive power. Results In the experimental group, Cathepsin L mRNA level and protein level significantly decreased, the proliferation index significantly decreased and apoptosis index significantly increased. The invasive power also decreased. Conclusion RNAi interference can inhibit Cathepsin L expression, cell proliferation and cell invasive power efficiently.

Objective To compare the ultrasonographic manifestations of ligamenta patella and their entheses of healthy volunteers with those of professional athletes. Methods Sonography was performed using a GE Logiq 700 MR Expert Series ultrasound equipment and a 5-10 MHz multifrequency linear array transducer. Fifty-two healthy volunteers and 20 professional athletes underwent sonography on ligamentum patella of both sides. Results The normal ligamenta patella′s contour was regular and sharply defined, appearing as tightly packed echoic structures with fine parallel internal linear echoes with a synovial sheath to a thickness of 0.02 cm. The attaching bone surface was smooth and continuous. The ligamenta patella of male was longer than that of the female(P

Objective To study the clinical value of three-dimensional vascular reconstruction of power Doppler imaging in monitering acute rejection of renal transplant. Methods Eighty-eight renal allograft patients were studied by three-dimensional vascular reconstruction and graded the vascular flow. Results The ratio of successful renal transplant three-dimensional vascular reconstruction reached 95.5% in 88 cases.Blood flow gradation was 4-5 levels in 30 controls and 0-4 levels in 58 patients with acute renal transplant rejection. Blood flow gradation was closely relevant to the time when the blood flow began to improve and the renal function began to restore after treatment, value of r being -0.9224 and -0.9223 respectively (P
